No E in Clarky please mate lol. Defo over inflated ego. It’s a shame cos he seems alright as a person
Clarkey,
Conmen generally do seem genuine. It's how they part you from your hard earned!
Parry is a second hand car salesman in his persona. Superficially charming and endowed with an over inflated sense of importance.
The concept is brilliant and doesn't even compare to the only visible, currently available UK competition that is glint, which is horrible.
Feeding and growing this baby could pay dividends beyond the boards and our imagination and allow them to comfortably live a millionaire lifestyle.
Starving it for short term greed, in its infancy, will just kill it and allow someone else to do it better... just like untold other businesses.
I hope this all comes good but the longer they take the less it seems likely. Like you say he’s been creaming a massive salary and it should be thrown in to the business and not living the millionaire lifestyle. Very disappointing to say the least. When I met him he seemed genuine but I fear it’s all lost now. I hope BigMj’s enthusiasm is all it seems to be
This will be off the market for 3 years soon, thats over half a million salary that could have bought a lot of well targeted advertising and pushed us far ahead of where we are as far as user numbers and exposure. But as I've said before, I think they are consciously stunting uptake for some reason.
Flapping
No, don't get me wrong.. I am still 100% behind it and I still believe they are working hard behind the scenes and still believe they are working towards and will relist. I'm not impatient about the relist and would rather they didn't rush it. I see the app as the main priority as that's what will deliver everything else. It's just extremely frustrating to see how they neglect all avenues to promote and try to grow the app that cost basically nothing, but still aren't being done.
I have also experienced new businesses being used as a cash cow and drained of financial resources that could have been used far more effectively growing the business rather than hindering its growth due to lack of funds. My view would be to draw as little as possible from the business and use the money to build and grow it, , especially if I had income from elsewhere, once it reaches a point of growth and turnover further down the line and has reached a point that attracts attention and investors which I think this has the potential to do, then a bigger salary could be taken that doesn't hinder the business in its infancy. Some of that 175k could be paying full time developers rather than what appears to be an outside contracting company.
Unfortunately, if CP is pulling 3k a week salary they probably have ran out of funds. Shame he didn't pull 50k a year out, we could have had 2 more developers working on it with the money he's given to the tax man alone.
agree JonnyE, so goes the investment cycle ;)
BOD dithering and kicking of the can has led to this, Tally really could be marketing a safe haven now, sadly not !!
so disappointing.
not that we will get information either way, but i can only think that Tally just can not raise any funds, no interest, however on the flip side, i wonder how the hell did Glint raise the funds it did, when you compare it to the Tally product ?
Dont worry stix, everyone who has a small interest in economics is buying gold right now even though tally is being hidden away from everyone... But we'll be advertising and listing in a year or two... Just as everyone is flooding out of safe haven assets like gold to pick up cheap shares :-D
shame we wasnt trading now , think we would be flying up the charts , those days seem a long way off !
this country couldn't build a sand castle within budget !
Steady on, apple.
We haven't even built the Third Runway yet. And not likely to either.
4th runway dead in the water. Airlines will consolidate and climate change pressures and virus spread will make a 4th runway obsolete. Airline industry will have to change how they burn fuel...imo
Agreed dj…… lets hope CP takes the bull by the horns and proves everyone wrong.
Sitting here in St.Albans… its snowing quite heavy!
PS: I think he intends to relist too. But now it could be hard in the current hysterical coronavirus environment with people rushing to pull out of the stock market. If the intention was to list towards or in the back end of 2020, that would probably be more prudent an objective now, with the hope that the virus could have fizzled out by then. But it's a tough call as we all know Nature doesn;t always work the way we expect. Or hope.
I just can't see Tally being in the least bit proactive when there's an international crisis on. And there are so many bugs to fix with the app they'll probably use it as a reason to drag it out further. But bizarrely I do think his intent to relist is genuine, at least for now. He really is going to be called a Failure if he mismanages this one. This will follow him around forever. And yet outside of these boards, people seem to like Cameron Parry a lot.
I must add that when I say 'holders are fed up', these are holders here, myself included, though I'm not given to cheap potshots at the Tally staff or CEO, etc. There are I suspect plenty of quiet Tally holders and backers just sitting back watching and saying nothing.
I wouldn't worry about a handful of the same people making snide comments on here, bb. The boards are for venting and that's what people will do. I'm not bothered when it's obvious shareholders, it's more disconcerting when it's trolls who have no clear motive. Because thats just bull**** piling on and unnecessary.
Holders are fed up, that's pretty standard for most AIM companies, and esp one thats been off-market for 2 years. We're all waiting for the next move and the protracted silences from Tally don't help. But you generally find they've hauled arse into gear and have ticked something off in the background with each RNS. My main concern, apart from cashburn, is that whilst Tally seem to dither over how precious this concept is to be let loose, other, more powerfully-funded companies are stealing a march on us all the time. Even the Twitter interest has dried up to a dribble.
The free Tally offer withdrawal I'm not bothered about. Promotional periods are just that and do not last indefinitely. There's no great conspiracy there I don't think.
.....to be quite a negative undertone here the last few days I must say... I thought the Q&A had lifted spirits here abit but that seems to have disappeared in a flash. I still think CP intends to relist Tally and not mirror the family past in business. He has to be 100% behind Tally and push this out there soon as possible, time waits for no man and competition will be closing in the longer he waits. I'm not sure if CP reads this board or if bigmj lets him know the sentiment here but if you do CP you need to step on the gas with this or the moment will pass... Be more open with us shareholders as we are the key to getting this off the ground.
