Martin Lewis... MSE, was bought out by and is basically owned and controlled by moneysupermarket, both companies make millions from kickbacks and advertising from banks and loan companies.. He would never be able to promote something like Tally which is all about avoiding the fractional reserve banking system which requires debt or the loads he promotes to be repaid at a high interest rate but a minuscule amount paid on savings, I've never heard him talk about any of the banks or services they provide not paying enough interest to even keep up with the effects of inflation, let alone beat it.
He would never be allowed to promote Tally, his ar2e is owned by the banks.. And fair play to him, he's made a fortune out of them... And they make a fortune out of everyone that borrows from them.
You sound just like me!
I agree BB, I'm 53, but have been retired for 5 years, I also don't have any children, so feel totally out of touch with the younger generation, and actually don't want to believe the marketing force behind social media, and no I don't use it!! But I don't mid admitting and totally realise that these influencers and socila media is the way to get Tally out there...Tally is new and fresh, and it will only take a few youngsters to sign up and love it and bobs your uncle and all that. I also thought Martin Lewis would be great, but he only appeals to people my age and older I think, and not sure the older generation would get their head around Tally! They seem to like their money safe in a nice little bank without any risk, but gaining the best possible interest, although this generation also have more money than the youngsters. I think Tally need to target both age groups in each way best for their target audience....i.e: Social Media/Influencers, and Martin Lewis/Magazines.
Its seems to be the way forward in advertising nowadays... some of these "influencers" have a big following of younger impressionable generations who will jump on board in an instant if the person they are following says its a great product...
Funny enough I was having a meeting with an old friend regarding targeting advertising... its quite amazing ( & creepy) the data they hold and use in this field.
I always thought Martin Lewis would be a great advertiser but would he sign up to such a new product? … not without clear evidence its the best in market for at least one aspect of banking.
On the other hand they could use one of the Kardashian mob.... they have a 3 hundred gazillion half wit followers! :-0
Badboy77 not the point I was trying to get across....we all know as companies grow there will be some dilution....but at this stage in the game large scale dilution is avoidable by offering social media influencers Tally accounts with an agreed negligible amount of credits, it will raise awareness and increase customer engagement and account sign ups and social media followers which is the ultimate goal before the IPO
Yet again raise money and dilute! to me at this stage social media influencers reach a massive audience and is in itself a force to be reckoned with, Tallymoney 543 Followers and Tally LTD 173 Followers against Fintech Futures with 42.4K Followers.
The difference in reach from just that one account is massive and needs to be scaled up now that V2 is out....all this cash burn is doing to LTH's is more dilution with CP taking a massive salary
This was covered in the QA.
They are going to use the crowdfund to raise awareness and use the money for marketing. They did say they will be looking to use "influencers" (can't take that term seriously)
If they were clever about it they would get social media influencer's like Fintech Futures with 42.4K Followers to keep tweeting it....not one tweet every now and then....their marketing strategy so far is pathetic and they need to seriously up their game if we stand any chance of this coming back to market anytime soon IMO
