SXXSWE. I am deeply hurt I ask for reasons why anyone would give us $60m in our present position and you take offence. What info do you reckon will bring us out of this quagmire. The Esia, mining licence and metallurgical tests will not be done for nothing.Even if they were free and positive, there arrival tomorrow would not turn this Titanic around.Speaking plainly the Board are not up to running this set up,that`s if they even wish to.Their lack of acknowledging PI`s is not only rude but could well be a means to an end.
Take it out on me if you wish but when did BA ever issue an RNS saying "I can see no reason for this drop in price".Never, does a drop suit his agenda? Even the spokesperson for S.P.Angel when now asked what Lithium Company he would recommend as a buy in Mali has not said Kodal for months.
I am a small investor here and I have many holdings where I can concentrate my attention without posting here so I will do so and return when cooler heads prevail and hopefully you get your earth shattering good news.
I am disappointed by you and several other posters I thought highly off here.
I wish you good luck.

James you're like a brick wall honestly. You say no one is comong good ideas and "checkmate" but you seemingly refuse to understand the simple concept that a finance deal can't be struck until enough info is in place. You're just as bad as a lot of ither posters that you once moaned yourself about...
James you make some valid sobering points, like most on here I’ve been in this for a long time and even though your points hit home I will see it out until at least the AGM. I’m hopeful BA will have a lot of your concerns answered because if he doesn’t it will be very unpleasant for him.
Fair play to all those that believe things are going well their optimism for the future that funds will be made available for Kodal to proceed to processing is laudable.
Regrettably they could end like KAMIKAIZA filtering me rather than having to admit he couldn`t come up with one positive idea regarding financing.
The facts are simple when indulging in any start-up venture you need readies.Telling people they will get paid when the boat comes in will not wash. The point that there is a fortune under your feet means nothing if you cannot pay the Contractors. We have no money let alone $60m and that is a big problem. How is it to be financed. Our market capital is 1/8th of what we need, hardly what anyone would view as a strong show of commitment from the backers to date.
It really is Lala land. Those expecting BA to pull a rabbit out of the hat should ask when did he do it last, very RNS has only caused the SP to drop.
Project management, irrelevant without a project or the money to build it.
BA, big talk on podcasts where you can say absolutely anything as there is no oversight whatsoever.Outside that and the AGM he goes into hiding and cannot answer questions.
At time of posting we are down another 3% today, and the great "I am" GFD trundling out a clarion call that no one should post unless it is wildly supportive.
Please oh please tell me where this cash is coming from and if someone is prepared to take a wild gamble why they don`t just buy the lot for a song now.Don`t tell me shareholder power will stop them because we don`t have any.
First liquidity goes, then insolvency arrives followed by bankruptcy. Then Management buyout or fire sale.
Checkmate.
Sxxswe, financing will be continued to talked about until it is in place.Trying to brush it under the carpet will not wash, either we have people showing an interest and signing options or we don`t.
Every day we get stories in the press about new cars coming to the Market either EV`s or Hydrids and as yet after 4 years we have not produced enough Lithium for a triple A clock battery.
We only have grandiose plans for future years, no money no backers and definitely no finance in place.I repeat if anyone wanted in to our mine now is their time to invest heavily. My fear is that if anyone is interested they are waiting to pick us off in a fire sale, possibly lead by one of the current Board.
Trying to suppress such a scenario will lead good money to chase bad.
The above will be in every shareholders mind that has thought this through.
NO DOUGH NO SHOW.
Bye.
Ah James, thanks for reminding me why I had you on filter for a long period, welcome back to it.
James the financing has been discussed to death. No move can be made till there is enough info to put in a legally binding document which the company is currently working on. Using my previous house building analogy, it would be akin to buying a house for £400k when the builder can only tell you it'll be somewhere between a 2 and a 4 bed house.
This is for KODs sake as much as SCs because as the 'builders' we'd be f##ked if we sign a deal promising delivery of a 4 bed house but then only give them a 3 bed.
KAM.Not one positive idea for the financing, have you?
Just a silly noisy little boy wasting everybodies time.
Show me the money or calm down.
BiB I'm not questioning whether you are invested.... whether you are down...... or down a lot.... my comment was regarding how your posts appear. If you disagree then fine, but take it from me.... whenever someone posts only the negatives it looks like they are trying to make it stick...... I think you refer to the flip side of that as Rampant Rampers ....
On losses here we are all in the same boat... the drop from 0.13 down to 0.09 has been on such low volume ..... but it would mean anyone getting out now is at a loss.
The problems with obtaining the sample was the amount of blasting it required, which they hadn't anticipated. That was the excuse for the time it took to get to 1000te .... but not necessarily a reason for it being stuck for so long as far as I can see.
BiB, i'm down on a healthy sized investment, but probably nowhere near as much as a lot of people (avg 0.14 ) - I don't like being down, but it feels ok at this point. What I mean by that (to use a cricket analogy - love you roo), is it's the stodgy middle overs of an ODI, nothing much feels like it's happening but they're yards that've got to be travelled. As INI suggests, i'm staying for the duration and will buy more if I can free up some cash - I do think in six months the picture will be a lot clearer. Or i'll have lost a decent shirt....
I'll draw a parallel with RENE - been sitting on a chunk which had drifted down to bugger all, then on decent news up 600% in a month. I see something similar here (rose tinted are go), in the medium-term.
GLA
Bib, The last annual report contains a snippet about the contractor having difficulty mining the ore... I've been out celebrating saving my wife's life but will look it up in the morning. Stay with this, it will come good I'm sure of it. Good luck.
Wow, pricked your ego? lol, I don't care what you say, merely pointed out the doom-mongering (and who said it was you?) makes me chuckle. And it does. Also responses like yours just now. Enjoy your day, I enjoyed the cricked immensely :)
Kamakaiza. As the person that started the above trend I take exception to the term "doom-Mongers".
The last RNS was as usual issued by the BOD of Kodal if you liked it please tell us why?The RNS you await with "some news" would need to be very positive to redress the list of forward requirements and a minimal amount of funds to achieve them.
The RNS needs to say we have obtained finance for the remainder of the project, period.Any less and you and the" hasty investors" will have something to cry about.
Let people express their opinion freely and as for you show some positive facts when posting.
Stupid ramping of this share has been a trademark of its past.
Morning all,enjoy the cricket.
Bib,
Have you seen this link provided by somebody a while ago?:
https://iclg.com/practice-areas/mining-laws-and-regulations/mali#chaptercontent1
I am no expert on mining but I think the permit you maybe eluding to is the 'small scale mining' permit which needs to be accompanied by an Environment Impact Statement. I am not sure if its required for the 'bulk sample' because I would expect that to be covered by the exploration permit..
..because surely you would need to extract a bulk sample to "prove the existence of an commercially viable deposit"? I guess the size of the sample could be an issue perhaps?
I would like the company to explain why near 1000 tonnes of ore has sat in the port of Dakar collecting dust for the last year. This may have to wait for the AGM.
Anyway, I don't think any of the risks you describe are 'new' and I am not sure the relevance of BAs physical appearance at a mining conference has with regard to the SP. -- The SP actually increased following BAs performance in Cape Town!
Agreed Joe, the doom-mongers on this board are quite something at the moment, it makes me chuckle. Yes, it's a quiet time, sure some news would be welcome but hey, it'll come when it's ready. No point rushing some rubbish out purely to satisfy some hasty investors (and I use that term loosely).
I don't disagree with what you're saying. I'm sorely tempted to get back into this share, which I had been in since 2015, but the main problem is country-risk and the upside-down nature of the world currently. Now, the killings and civil strife have occurred in the north of Mali, away from Kodal's operation, which is not that far from that nation's capital, so with a bit of luck for investors here, things can keep chugging along without major problems. The Board has really got to work miracles though.
BiB .... you're no longer sounding like the man trying to balance the chatboard.... just like a man trying to throw s##t until it sticks.
Buffett says more than his prayers. What did he say about Tesco?
Good to hear such strong sentiment from the faithful, but the upcoming Esia and planning etc., will only bring us closer to the day the begging bowl has to be produced. If this sentiment means people are willing to buy more shares it makes me wonder why they are not doing it now.
BA had his chance and blew it, the confidence of the big hitters no longer exists. No matter what he says now he is soiled goods and the one big thing he has to deliver is finance.Recent inclusion of Directors has given us no return and none of them or the Board has put in any serious money of their own.
Sorry for the negativety but swilling G&T`s around trade fairs aint going to resolve this one.Boy do I hope I am wrong but the next RNS could well read " sorry lads but no money left to continue".
Was it the contractors that left rather than the other way round?
It takes money to make money, and I will leave it at that.
Enjoy the cricket.
I think I'll be joining you captpat. I've done very well on a couple of other shares which I'll be cashing in next week, I think some of the profit might have to be used to bag me another 4 or 5 million of these. The risks are no different to my first purchase last year in may, in fact they've been reduced. I'll continue to accumulate with any profits made elsewhere until financing is announced.
https://iclg.com/practice-areas/mining-laws-and-regulations/mali
loads of laws and regs to follow, kod is following that slow road at the minute, the mining permit will boost to xp.
I added this week, time will tell if I was right to do so.
Volume and is low, hang in there like everyone else. The ESIA will land within the next two weeks, that I'm sure of. The negative comments are unavoidable in this kind of share during news drought but things are happening behind the scenes. Now is the time to sit tight.
