Anyone know why the massive fall today? I know HL report it as being ex-div today, however from the last statement by the company, it-s ex div from CoB tomorrow.
My purchase order was triggered at 565 - i amn't complaining as I think this is a fantastic company. But wondering if I missed an update?
Look at it as a chance to add if you already have a position. This a hugely undervalued co , one of the very, very few who kept their divi unchanged and is getting rave reviews about it. For me the fact that the co got the covid 19 300 mil offer , which the government offered ONLY to healthy companies is very significant. And the co has said they will only use it in case the market conditions very much deteriorate which i think is unlikely !!!
Down a £1 in a month, anyone any idea what is driving this South. Good results and good prospect and paying a dividend, but there it is.....down. GLA.
I could not agree more with you, this is a gem of a co. Great recent results , kept the divi, all this in the middle of a very difficult economic environment. And the norwegian bank is increasing its position to over 5%. Not surprised at all really, these people dont invest their well earned oil&gas money in speculative investments. I hope the sp will come down to the £6 level again but i doubt it !!!
I was very pleasantly surprised at the resilience of the business, and to continue paying a dividend is a real sign of confidence. Management have moved decisively to address problem areas over the past couple of years and have responded promptly to covid challenges. This is a good business with good management and its prospects are attractive, with long term infrastructure spending likely to grow and, in the near term, likely stimulus programmes providing some protection against any post covid economic slowdown. Very happy to hold.
What a brilliant set of results considering the overall business conditions in the middle of the virus pandemic. Absolutely fantastic news also that they would keep the dividend, one of the very few co's that have kept their dividend intact in such difficult times.
I am ever so tempted to buy KLR's although i may wait for some profit taking which should happen soon. 650 would be a great entry point !!!
Nice!
I agree that at this price or around the £5 mark it would be very attractive. Vinci i dont think so as the co is not doing very well and is more interested in green energy. But Bechtel for sure !!!
CFO of the company bought 20,000 shares today at 570p.
It's unlikely that it will slip into 400p IMO. It's a reasonable dividend paying company and fundamentals are much better than many other companies. It might come upto 700p before end of the year. But to come to above 1000p of 2018, it might take a year or so, IMO. Patiency might reap the benefit.
I've been in and out of KLR for many years and usually made a nice profit. I'm currently out, but have been watching closely for the last few months on the run up to the September update. The update was not very positive although the future forecast wasn't that bad. I've faith in the company and I'm sure the SP will recover.
However with the fall in the SP and the current weakness of the £, I wonder if it is being eyed as a takeover target. If so, who would be the likely buyer?
Vinci or Bechtel would be my favourites and KLR would fit well with either and they could both afford it.
My only problem now is when to get back in and with how much. I'm not sure that the bottom has been reached and fear we could we slip into the 400's?
Thoughts anybody?
Interims next Monday ...
There is no reason financially why the sp has come down so much. The last 2 trading reports were reasonably good and the figures should be even better next time out . However i would not be surprised if the sp flirts with the 500 mark . I still maintain it is a compelling chance to accumulate at these levels for long term gains.
For me, the company is not a bad company with a good dividend yield at present. I bought some shares today. A good price for me. Therefore, it might shoot up in market price very soon before the next trading announcement/results release.
Time will tell I suppose. So where do we think this will settle now?
Then why is this company trading very low?
Keller’s geotechnical construction businesses in North America are joining together as one unified company, and rebranding to Keller, effective January 1, 2020. Operating as one company offering all products and services is expected to appeal to clients with projects that involve multiple techniques.
Sounds like a good idea - but sp does not agree ...
£-$
The sp is coming down to the £6 level for no real reason considering that the latest results were very good. Compelling chance to buy or add if it does reach this level !
Clearly priced in …..numpty I should have bought at I £5s last week!
Is it bad or good?
Oops!
I agree it wont jump that quick. Yeah long term its good prospects - I wish i could hold for the long term but since buying these, I got engaged abroad and will need to sponsor my wifes visa. Just that's my priority (need to hold cash...). I bought these at £6 and still think that was cheap lol. May end up selling and rebuying soon!
If you are looking for a short term bounce to £6 -£6.5 i very much doubt it , in this economic environment. Long term , should do even better than that as it is a very financially sound co and a world leader in its field.
expecting a minor hit to profit and revenue this year for the APAC reduction. But long term profitability should be good.
I'm hoping the share price gets above £6.50 so I can sell lol. Should be achievable as there were a flurry of PDMR buys at around the 6 quid mark i think.
