Why Renewable Energy Won't Work
?? No one can get past 15% renewables as solar & wind because of the disruptive influences & expensive infrastructure
?? Electricity costs ten times normal at 15% solar & wind
?? #KIBO advancing Coal to Power Projects
Boffer,
It is interesting this angle KIBO seem to be creating regarding renewable energy etc. Personally I think this is absolutely the right thing to do going forward. From previous RNS' it does look as for some time this has been their intent to introduce this type of power generation into the design of Mabasekwa. The downside is I suspect we will hear via future RNS' that this is what has slowed the Mabesekwa process down and why these timelines are again not being met. As with these types of projects ultimately it would be for the best long term but short and medium term it just means delay cause pressure on the SP.
It does make me ask the question if this was a reason for the failing of the MCPP tender bid - I e. not having the renewables as part of the plant strategy. It seems hard to believe the GoT would knock it back on that basis. Though more likely, is that to be able to sell power to the EAPP/SAPP, this new strategy may give advantages in negotiations too.
Overall its good new long term but tangibly in the near future I fear a further slow down of the process and more delays while the right plant energy mix is found and approved.
My comprehension skills are top drawer thanks Mike. You obviously don't understand the meaning of the word 'supply' which leaves you at a distinct disadvantage in having an intelligent exchange. Have a good day (perhaps in the company of a dictionary would be helpful). I look forward to STEAG not supplying us with whatever you think they wont be supplying us. Give me strength.
welcome update and great addition. I think the fact they have signed a collaborative agreement says mopre about the increased chances of a PPA / ML / Finance landing one or more of which will have the bigger impact on SP.
Flying out on holiday on the back of a world cup win and a nice RNS ....
You need to work harder at reading and comprehension skills for the whole of the RNs, to grasp that is is not that hard. In that way you will start to do yourself some justice.
Whatever. They will be doing other things which don’t involve the supply of anything. Your understanding of the word ‘supply’ appears to be different to mine. They will obviously be not supplying other things. Hard work doesn’t do it justice.
Be good to get Sonics view on it even if its not always welcomed.
No we do not agree, para 2 of highlights
''SES is part of the STEAG GmbH's group of companies which is an international IPP with 80 years of experience in engineering, constructing and operating power plant projects.''
where i am without STEAG there would be no power. They did and do far more than supply as para 2 shows and we benefit from directly
So we both agree that STEAG do nothing other than supply regardless of how or when or after they have started. Hard work dealing with some of the nod nod wink wink stuff on here rather than what we actually have in front of us.
We're building the launchpad Boff!!
I have taken my eye of the Kibo daily stuff, rightly or wrongly, and not really sure what todays news means. Does anyone have an objective view whether it adds value or whether its a no-news story ? All feedback welcome, popular or unpopular.
adds serious credibility!
Point is it does not have to be hard work when you expand upon what they do after they get started......bigger picture stufff. I am finding it relaxing and easy on the constitution
STEAG supply in the general sense of the word. They are a supplier. They have signed a collaborative agreement to ‘supply’ stuff (all encompassing word) so they can obtain income. It’s hard work here sometimes.
STEAG do way more than just supply we would not have power where we are without them
Yay!!!!
England have Stokesey.
We have LC.
We never give up and we are beginning to see the fruits.
Like you JD noticed the two major shareholders bit in the light of our chats last week.
A positive RNS. We have had a lot of agreements with potential suppliers over the last 5-6 years. It would be even better if just one of the suppliers actually had cause to supply something.
Nice RNS well done here. Massive for you.
it's coming home , it's coming home! Very nice upbeat start to the week.
