the worst aspect is when you've done your research you know what your target is lets say a five bagger and you believe totally in the stock and then it goes up 100% and you find your finger on the sell button for say three quarters of your holding and get to sit and watch your predictions come to pass :( it why i set out always to get to a position where i sell 66% of a stock at a price that give me 33% on a free ride. Its imperfect but prevents my bias from taking hold lol
true! its instinct to try and chase losses and take higher risks as a result, usually ending in more losses.
read up on risk bias !! its a huge influence, in a nutshell when we are losing we become massively more willing to take risks ( chasing losses) and when we are winning we become risk averse ( selling into small profit even though before the small gains ,we had every intention of holding for the long term ) MM's are aware of risk bias its become a staple study for traders and their ilk. Once you know what you as a human being, will have a propensity to do in a given circumstance you can mitigate it.
doing your own research is a must! otherwise its gambling.
investing on a tip from the BB is not a good idea mate.
Its important to do your own research
If you're new to this, hope you learn from your mistakes.
Took me a good 5 years to get the basics and a lot of money.
However, what I have learnt is now invaluable.
I was lucky to have a couple of very good ones to balance this off during this time frame.
Timing and patience! as well as picking the right ones, obviously! Then more timing and patience, and a bit more patience thrown in for good measure lol
Its easy to get carried away and join the party after a spike, in this case based on the MC, its for you to decide whether you think we are undervalued or not, and what the expected news could do for us or not.
Thank you NotaAmused, wisdom that was very painfully acquired over many years of trading.
Looking for it to settle in this range before any news.
Nice post OMITC , wise words of wisdom
News in media about major mining company signing a JV . There is links to kefi.
Make if that what you will.
I'll find links
The market is cruel, sucks you in at the wrong time, makes you sell at the wrong time, fills with hope and fills you with despair. So you have to be in control of your decisions, set your entry, set your timeframe and set your exit for profit or loss do not let the intra-day moves fake you out. This is not a day trade in my view but a swing trade that could last a few days/weeks in the direction of the trend. The trend is up so let it play out until the trend changes sideways or down.
OMITC - that’s where I may struggle. Hate to lose money. But you reckon there’s some big gains here to be had?
one last thing bunsen, if this drops below your entry..have enough patience and balls to hold it ...there are going to be a few ups and downs until news comes
60p, that’s wishful thinking
Confirm L2 is full of blue volume requests.
60p lol. You’re mental mate
Seriously 10 p will be cheap on finance.
I've got a 60 p target on fundamentals once 90m revenue starts . Then that opens up the other assets.
Really could be special this
Good luck bunsen, I sincerely hope you make the gains you are looking for...
Thanks for your advice, bought £4,500
You have to make that decision bunsen....my first target is 3.5p minimum but nobody knows where this will go in the next 2 hours let alone the next few days...but for me news is pending and based on that expected news the stock should rerate.
Moving up again >>> ££££
Level 2 buzzing. Hold on for more.
Many have missed the boat here for major gains
No you shouldn't, not unless you want to make some quick raw cash?
Flip a coin, thats what I do.
Yes I am asking BB if I should buy. What do you think?
