TK funding unlocks enormous potential not only in Ethiopia but, more especially (imo) in Saudi. The potential of Hawiah and the 6 'brothers & sisters' will be realised and this company could well move towards being a mid tier producer in 5-10 years time imo. Great medium to long term hold!
All American politicians look after themselves, that's why it's in the state it's in - inequality grew massively under Obama and continued under Trump
Uk2 its a nightmare when democrates get into power..they only look after themselves..everything freezes when they get involved..biden is a complete waste of space..we will have to wait for a chinese move..but they have india tensions to sort out first
No posts from my friend DSHOX in the last two weeks I see
This has held up incredibly well given the gold price. Although I think upward moves will be capped regardless of financing progress if gold doesn't recover
Well hopefully a few clues might drop beforehand (thanks to Gwome advfn kefi board).

The plant build and resettlement will all happen in sychronisation and a plant is not planned to be built until latter part of year as it only takes 12 months. Everything seems to be quiet so i take that as generally positive. Harry indicated latter part of March so i am thinking 15th onwards. With government fully onboard and already invested and major investors and banks in place looks pretty solid to me.
Rob ...we will see and know more this month..i hope..one step at a time...
Dsrt having built a school and building roads and electricity supply currently hardily going to forget to construct houses when needed the key words are when needed. Would not make any sense to build the whole village prior to finance closure or parts of it till the space is needed under the mining plan.
“You cant move house until others are built ..and thats a year at least away ..they will move a section at a time and put a RNS saying ressettlement is being done” what you said does not make any sense and is inaccurate you can move before other houses are built that is the actual plan and it’s not a secret that it will be done in sections.
Not a secret I am invested here and have been for a long time either and I am optimistic about kefi prospects.
Rob it is a well known fact that is you are invested in anyway in african country ..then that country likes that company to build a school for education purposes...prob only costs 28.000 has muxh has a new house ...but i said a picture of a ressettlement house ..not a school ...
Harry goes into detail about the housing in one of the webinars it’s being done in tranches as whole area does not need to be cleared in one hit the houses are modular so can be put up quickly and can be expanded in the future by the residents. Quality is a huge improvement and there have been pictures of the new school.
You cant move house until others are built ..and thats a year at least away ..they will move a section at a time and put a RNS saying ressettlement is being done ..thats the political wording ..hes not lying but hes not telling the whole truth...show a picture of all theses houses or huts that are built already ..but he cant for security reasons ...
As I understand, the local population is on their fields during the rainy season to cultivate them. So the population has to move during the dry season.
can't move house if it's raining?
Few observations....
SP being kept closer to 2p - is this some kind of VWAP being worked for out, potentially final placement price being worked through the VWAP (just a educated guess based on similar movements in SP for other shares) followed by finance announcement...
Secondly, there is a high possibility that Ethiopian investors may participate at KEFI level rather than just at TK level.. Probably gives exposure to SA assets. Ethiopian govt bought 20% stake in TK for $20m. Kefi current market cap is £42m; KEFI is undervalued and therefore high chance that Ethiopian investors may take part in final placement? IMO. TK funding is key to KEFI's re-rate...
Either way, less than 23 working days to find out.. GLA
Now is the moment of truth for the CEO HAA - and also for us, shareholders. There is no more Hakuna Matata. I also assume the following scenario:
- For understandable reasons, the Ethiopian government would like local investors to participate in Tulu Kapi.
- Based on the statements by HAA, I assume that the deadline for this is March 31, 2021: Take it or leave it.
- That means: by April at the latest we will know how the financing - especially the 10m USD - will be finally regulated: Local investors, capital increase Kefi, sub-debt, etc.
Since it is getting tight again, I looked again at the rainy season in Ethiopia. This is important insofar as the local population has to move into their new starter houses before the rainy season. If this does not happen, there is again a delay of up to another year.
Therefore I checked again about the rainy season in Ethiopia: The rainy season starts in June and lasts until September. The Ethiopians also know a so-called small rainy season. It is located in the months of February and March, especially in the regions with higher rainfall (also Tulu Kapi). The dry season runs from October to May. The relocation would therefore have to take place in the two months of April and May.
