OOEE - ta - even more interesting if the Google maps satellite was only shot last month.
But at least the satellite image was not shot over the past few days...
Don't wish to get into your argument.. In the photo where is EKATERINA that docked on pier 2 just before or POTOSI that is there now.. Just asking..
No its not, Google Earth time stamp is September 2020....
Nick2151 - that is an ancient google maps satellite image with the Xin... 's green bulk carrier icon superimposed- it has been like that for quite some time - 3 holds partly filled. - but that was shot maybe several years back
Talk over on advfn of filling arms moving between compartments holding ore

Mlq, re 5p rise, I hope what I am about to say doesn't happen but..... although there appear to be many holders well down on their investment here, there will be many who are well up. Obviously it takes new money to drive the price up but it could be that those cashing in will temper the rise. Wasn't all that long ago the sp was less than 5p here.
Lol too many experts here, just follow the companys news and rns's last one said all agreed in principle and to submit the contracts for the jrp before finalising, we are days away from the rns, dont forget just the payment to even xlear at that large amount could pd take a week even in sonw places,
yeh... but let’s not go back to where we were in april... negotiating the deal itself... the banks were meant to petition... i can’t access the petitions to say whether or not they did... and yes... it looks like the courts have deemed it unnecessary in any case...
LoL @tomcat. The deal may be "done", but it ain't "dusted" otherwise the banks would have surely withdrawn their appeal to the higher courts. Fortunately (from my point of view, not for everyone's) the higher courts appeared to rule on DEV's side, not the banks, and we are where we are - waiting once again... ;-)
@MLQ. Nice links!
MrsB: I'm starting to think "what's the point" of putting out a RNS of something we don't own.. So
IF and a niggle IF, If the Ore ship is Dev's then I expect the 20% one first... Guess Monday.. Ship is due to depart
Tuesday,, so one way or the other Wednesday we will be the wiser... Buckle down and enjoy the next couple of days..
I am suprised/disappointed that we didn't have a 5p rise on Friday given the ship news.. But hey O.. It will come..
i thought the deal was done... we’ve agreed to the banks settlement terms... and are just in the process of drawing up and completing contracts... https://www.lse.co.uk/rns/KDNC/agreement-in-principle-to-bank-creditor-settlement-exahnnem98oaz0w.html ...
Thanks @Bannor. Your view is fairly consistent with what I think is most likely. I guess all we really might have to chew the Amapa cud over is our difference of opinion on the execution order ;-) If we know the deal with the banks could still be a few months off, then I'd prefer DEV started shipping now to progress the project, which should also take the pressure off a rushed deal with the banks, noting also that waiting risks iron ore prices retreating, whereas I think you'd prefer DEV didn't ship until we took up our 20% (which would mean our JV owned 99.9% DEV anyway as that is a precondition), no matter how long that wait might be, as this might compromise the JRP in some unforeseen way.
Fingers crossed for a decent 7am RNS tomorrow morning!
Ob.
Yes still there.

not with Lithium loading it he has only got a 60k wheel barrow
Is the ship still there, someone who works on these ships said that amount or ore could be loaded in less than a day easy
it ?
MLQ/ this is a bit like backing a horse the only difference is you don't loses all your money in one go, you never no what the trainer has done to make run faster or slower, lol
apologies i neglected to add the 'as below' in my earlier post so here it is:
Vila Nova
Vila Nova was placed on care and maintenance late in the fourth quarter of 2014. A nominal amount of iron ore was processed and shipped in the first quarter of 2015 while preparing the plant for shutdown.
@MLQ exactly - which is exactly the same as I've been saying as well - each to their own thoughts, make your own mind up, act accordingly & believe nothing you read here without verifying it for yourself.
Mlq do you think those 2/3 rns will come on the same day ?
i refer the honourable ladies & gentleman to the answer i gave a few days ago..
Until an RNS states we own 20% then one that sez first shipment away...
It ain't ours..
Always a niggle to that point...
.....@Obs ..... my opinion? .... well for what it's worth I think the Ore being shipped is all DEV's stockpiled, my reasoning for this is (as we all know )
Vila Nova was placed on C&M late 2014 & in my opinion the below (from Eldorado q1 2015) indicates that any remaining stocks were processed & shipped in 2015 - so in MY opinion they don't currently have any stocks to ship.
additionally they seem to have been mostly focussed on their Gold assets (which has also seen a good recovery this year) also if they were 'intending to restart mining @ Vila Nova & had got to a point of shipping they'd have been required to announce this ... it's not a free ride to restart a mine.
finally the reason I personally (everyone else make your own minds up) is the haphazard, last minute booking & subsequent delays that occurred the day after it was announced that the judgement permitting shipment by the lower court was upheld.
a ship is a ship - doesn't matter who owns it they won't want it sitting idle & a charter is a charter so long as the payments secured ... they're also costly to lay up.
Vila Nova is closed down for maintenance since 2015 and has no updates since so hopefully its for KDNC
https://www.eldoradogold.com/assets/operations-and-projects/south-america/operations/vila-nova/default.aspx
If the ship is for our ore and then i woupd assume kdnc or the parties would not ship it unless they had the nod from the banks and the contract is a done deal awaiting signatures from the top ppl at round table
@Observer842 It would seem to make commercial sense to cooperate with our neighbours.
Particularly with the prospect of them sharing "our" port eventually.
Not only licence/rental income in future but maybe share of port rehabilitation cost?
Demand for iron ore can only increase imv as countries increase infrastructure projects
post covid to boost their economies. Latest US/Brasil trade deal only improves our prospects.
