Agreed EV, they will also appreciate that bird in the hand will be worth its weight in ore to Kiran and his share holders
Thanks again jimb2
Thanks @Rosamund108,
I'm sure Ganfeng know our position with Amapa and would see the timing to their advantage to get a deal on the best of terms.

Thanks EV
confidence, patience, etc

Agree @Legalease it would be great timing if Sonora covers the 49% avoiding dilution and hopefully with plenty of $$ to spare. Could easily happen, Ganfeng will surely want 100% of this so they can increase production.
Cheers @Rosamund108 and others! Lots of good news to come.
Jimb2, u too, well done for the research.
Sonora first would be the absolute dream scenario imo.
Well, that's good news, maybe that RNS will come Monday or later next week?
Over two years since this update, a great deal has changed and we know very little through Ganfeng newsflow considering what they released in November 2019.

Ganfeng Review and Process Test work
The Bacanora project team in Mexico continues to progress the final design work for the mine site, infrastructure, concentrator and kiln sections of the processing plant. Representative samples have been sent to Ganfeng in China. Ganfeng's technical review of the hydrometallurgical circuit has commenced with a view to potentially sourcing key sections of the lithium production equipment from their current equipment suppliers in China. This work is expected to be completed in H1 2020. As part of this technical review, **both Bacanora and Ganfeng continue to develop test work programmes for the potential production of other downstream high-value lithium products in addition to the battery-grade lithium carbonate** used in the Company's feasibility study. The results of this work will be reviewed over the next few months.
High-value lithium products - lithium carbonate and hydroxide I would suggest are not the high-value lithium products compared to other products in use?
http://www.ganfenglithium.com/about1_en.html
The Groups lithium compound capacity ranks third worldwide first in China, and is the worlds largest lithium metal producer.
Just maybe lithium metal is going to be added with the move towards solid-state and Ganfeng just possibly producing solid-state batteries in 2023:
https://supchina.com/2021/12/08/ganfeng-lithiums-global-expansion-continues/
The company is setting up a plant in its home city of Xinyu, Jiangxi Province, in 2023. Analysts predict it will begin to manufacture solid-state batteries, said to be the next generation of lithium-ion batteries.
Sonora quality product low impurities, essential for lithium metal use.
You could flip a coin who lands the big news first Amapa or Ganfeng - IMVHO
EV , great research
i am glad that they managed to secure 90% whilst bcn is still a listed company… for transparency reasons mainly… i wonder if they will ditch their plans to de-list as they no longer need to use that threat to bully shareholders into selling… or will kdnc be the only listed company on aim / outside china where shareholders can invest in sonora lithium this time next week… after tuesday close…
possibly… ‘tis true that i can’t discount the fact that they may have bought 2,570,313 shares on market… to go with the 110,933,697 they reported to own previously… added to the acceptances received that is stated at 235,987,368…
Indeed... more great research from Zoom and Observer on Sonora in this post:

To clarify, as the posts are now missing, twotwits was pumping his alleged £165k Pensana position which is currently 7.65% down today so -£12.62k.
Thanks EV…. already done mine! :-))
Not sure you'd want to take the advice though, have you seen Pensana today?
** he'd do that ** .... Where on earth did hethat come from!!
I'll feel a lot happier once Twotwits confirms he has "sense" checked all EV's posts ..... after all he did say hethat for us - PMSL :-))
Thanks EV, blooming exciting stuff ! Looks like we could be dating a gorilla soon !
Fyi Ganfeng intends to grow their lithium production capacity to 600,000 tpa LCE.
Across the 8 projects on their website they would need to average 75ktpa from each.
http://www.ganfenglithium.com/about3_en.html
Ok... I'll stop now, do your own research as always, not financial advice etc..etc.. lol :-)
Comparing with @Jimb2's favourite Thacker Pass clay project which Ganfeng are involved with then Phase 1: 40ktpa/ Phase 2: 80ktpa.
Might explain those land purchases....
https://www.lithiumamericas.com/news/lithium-americas-expands-resource-at-thacker-pass-and-increases-phase-1-capacity-to-target-40000-tpa-lithium-carbonate
"Increased Phase 1 capacity of ongoing Feasibility Study to target 40,000 tpa lithium carbonate."
"Incorporating Phase 2 to target additional 40,000 tpa capacity. Feasibility Study is being designed to incorporate a potential Phase 2 expansion scenario to target total capacity of *80,000 tpa* to meet potential partner and customer demand."
“The Company will further accelerate the construction of the Mexico Sonora lithium clay project, endeavouring to make it a leading project in the field of extraction of lithium from clay across the globe.”
https://www1.hkexnews.hk/listedco/listconews/sehk/2021/0924/2021092400651.pdf
So how big would it need to be, to count as a "a leading clay project globally"? Surely way more than 35ktpa? Great news for KDNC.
Now with the proposition of trying to sort out the last remaining BCN holders is all but gone, I am expecting KDNC's JV to gain traction much sooner ..... fingers x'ed !
GLA
Your 346,921,065 figure is wrong, Ganfeng will accordingly own 349,491,378 shares, game over for BCN holders.
