Cheers @jimb. Really don't think the market appreciates how valuable our Sonora JV's are to the automakers...
Elon Musk about Tesla entering the mining industry, just two minutes from the link:
https://youtu.be/rQI2Ls32b80?t=2559
Seems we forget Sonora was credited as some of the best lithium products seen by customers in Japan.
So this is playing out as expected:
23 Jun 2022 Hastings to Acquire 30% Yangibana Joint Venture Interest
04 Jul 2022 Hastings Strategic Direction and Financing Update
However, **in recent weeks**, Hastings received alternative funding proposals from strategic parties that are currently being evaluated and which may substantially alter the proposed final funding and debt-equity structure for the Yangibana Rare Earths Project. With the strong projected demand growth for permanent magnets and therefore NdPr over the next decade, some of the funding discussions revolve around the opportunities emerging for Hastings to participate in downstream processing facilities in Europe.
That JV must have been blocking any new funding and why, well we are on the cusp of a historic transition to EVs and recent news is backing this up with companies now realising they need those critical elements - linear thinkers need to wake up:
BYD Surpasses Tesla to Rank Top in Global EV Sales in H1
Who saw that coming, sorry who else!
Battery tech has developed a couple of years ahead of time and now the cars are rolling off the production lines. there's going to be winners and losers big names will disappear like it's happened with every past disruption and the winners will need plenty of lithium and permanent magnets.
Detroit — Bank of America's annual "Car Wars" study predicts General Motors Co. and Ford Motor Co. will surpass Tesla Inc. in electric-vehicle sales by 2025 as traditional automakers claim more of the market pioneered by the Texas-based EV maker.
Volkswagen will beat Tesla by 2025, says its Chairman
During a meeting at the company’s headquarters in Germany, Diess said Tesla will lose its strength trying to ramp up two gigafactories one in Austin, Texas and the other in Grunheide, Germany, a media report said. He sees this as an opportunity to take the lead, as Volkswagen is running at full capacity
Well, that's all very interesting and I'm sure you could add several more with the same ambition.
MR James/ may be because he says what it is straight with out the bull you all love
Your comprehension is getting worse bird brain.
MR James/ may be because he says what it is straight with out the bull you all love
When there's no faith or trust left & the sentiment is sour all you have left is the book value.... guess where we are .... or would you prefer I say pretty flowery things to make you feel better Mr James?
Bannor you baffle me sometimes. Book value on AIM shares may help, but sentiment, bull crap and fear rule aim.
love it lol
MD you seem to have only got 10-10 vision , maybe a trip to Specsavers might help ;
Please do not ever leave us maddog. I mean, who will supply the witticisms.
were has my susan bull post gone " l must have hit the spot
MLQ/ the BODS have no need to they are funded for the next 5 years,
Take some Bob Martin's maddog. And try again.
MLQ/ the BODS have no need to they are funded for the next 5 years,
I think he has taken the Peter Ustinov comparison quite literally. Kingmakers, pawns (in his case a prawn), rear view mirrors, looking back as well as forward, £5 parties. What have I created? Sorry everyone.
And don't forget we can't sell any of the company/master of our own commodity as it's not financially viable!
What a mess!
Job done Mike , anyone for tennis ?
Tesla? .... different board, different sentiment different book values....
Bannor. What is the book value of Tesla?
Invrstors have to look to thr future - that can be good or bad.
Yes, you carry on investing in the rear view mirror. I will weight the future possibilities with a probability distribution.
I'll take book value over wild guesses & assumptions as the book values firm up so will our SP....
Phew!
....oh I forgot to add with the price manipulated by those that can to the detriment of those that can't.
The point was about book value being a bad metric for the reasons stated. The house was a metaphor.
Few
What a ridiculous attempt at comparison for valuation .... a house is pretty much a known asset value sitting on a pretty known value of the land beneath it purchased on a 1:1 basis .... this company's value is based on assumed/ projected variables, sentiment & hope traded by hundreds if not thousands of shareholders with the price set by those willing/having to sell at the lowest & purchased by those willing to pay as little as they can at any given time .... Which may change as, when, if the underlying assets &/or sentiment changes.
It’s not in the mining plan for years , why do you keep valuing what it’s worth when it comes out the ground and sold you don’t think they will pay us anywhere near that value and dig it up and do all
The work for free so you
These valuations are why you lose 2/3rd of your money here EV and are a laughing stock when it comes to predictions (£1.50 but really 10p) chancer
