Ganfeng EGM link from tomcast-14 on the BCN board:
see item 12 in the table:
As not more than two-third (2/3) of the votes held by the Shareholders and proxies who attended the
EGM were cast in favour of the resolution, the resolution was not passed as a special resolution.
Not as bad as I thought, worth reading the pv magazine article again and with the voting so close it paints a very different picture:
You could very easily believe that 65% of holders voted against whereas it now looks like those holding 65% of Ganfeng voted on the issue of H shares of those voting 65.1593% were in favour just short of the 66%+ required and in fact just 34.8407% voted against.
Of course, the outcome is still a no vote but not a 'Rebellion' by any means.
Well if this was a Brexit vote we wouldn't be in such a mess now!
..... & you had it right in the first place as far as I'm concerned:
There is no difference in meaning between center and centre. Center is the preferred spelling in American English, and centre is preferred in varieties of English from outside the U.S.
LoL .... Okie dokes then ... can't say I'm of the same opinion though thankfully .... laughingas still playing centre gawd I hope not & I think he's too busy building & pushing his Canibis drugs empire ... just my opinion but he's only out for himself & I personally don't believe he's bothered overly about who buys what, where, when it what It's used for..... going by s Twitter profile he's also going to cure cancer .... 'wow what a guy!!' & so talented 'smoke him a kipper but hope he's not back for breakfast' the minigases are doing disastrously enough without their master making things worse!!
Just my thoughts & opinions though as always .... enjoy your vacation.
Center.....(auto spell)we are English after all :)
Hi Ban, I'm officially on holiday but of course still looking in occasionally. I'm probably one of the few remaining longtermers who believe we are still on a long twisting (uturn even) but strategic road (Pilgrims Progress has nothing on us) but still proceeding to the original destination. I also believe Tesla is still in the wings. Elon is heading for Europe amongst other destinations, we have already got a nice little chunk of EMH, Zinnwald lies next door....so imo, it's not over until the fat lady sings. Oh and sorry but to really turn your stomach I think that Mr Lenigas is still playing on the centre court.....sorry had to add a bit of tennis too :)
Ps Greenland ....wow, should we revert back to calling ourselves Rare Earth Minerals again ..
Morning Mrs B ....trust all is good down your way .... why would Zinnwald be our Golden egg (KDNC's) .... or do you mean it will be BCN's golden egg?
Am I missing something....
No mention of the bottleneck in processing in this article.
Pilbara Minerals June suggesting their reduced output was conversion processing capacity:
While underlying demand for battery-ready lithium chemicals remains strong, delays in the construction, commissioning and build-out of the Company’s offtake customer chemical conversion capacity in China has resulted in June quarter sales of spodumene concentrate being constrained.
I just hope Ganfeng see Sonora producing the end product being less risk than Brine or Spodumene.
Zinnwald may well end up being our golden egg ...
there’s always zinnwald...
@tomcat-14 RK mining finance are in a very strong position as one would expect with
agreement to provide funding before any strategic investor was announced.
Senior Debt Facility at Libor + 8%
Final Loan Facility $75m conditionally available only when project is fully funded.
Still large additional capex, beyond what bcn has announced, is required.
Hence my previous comment here that our BOD was right to "derisk" by selling bcn equity imv.
Nevertheless I expect funding to materialise---but with more dilution for equity shareholders?
Frankie - My point is that when a deal falls through and a potential financier/buyer gets wind of this the seller ie in this case BCN is in a much weakened position. After all look how long it took PS to get to the negotiating table. I am speaking from considerable business experience, but this said the Ganfeng issue in BCN is probably just a glitch...
I just read one of your posts on the board of one of our assets.
Did you really just compare the diminishing value of a used car, with that of a fledgling lithium mine?
I thought that modern, ordinary, cars devalued the minute you drove them out of the showroom. And possibly more whilst sitting on the forecourt of a sales room.
And, continued to, broadly speaking, at varying, but average, amounts, over the years. Hence the ‘blue book value’. (I got that from watching my favourite judge on the telly.)
However, I thought that the value of a lithium mine, broadly speaking, would increase, not decrease, as it went further along the development timeline? Hence, the ‘values and timelines of mines’ guesstimated on this board. Presumably plucked from some statistic or another issued?
I may, as per usje, be way off the mark. However, I do sort of like cars. Especially vintage/older model cars. (Generally, especially those from when I was a gal.). And, my ideal, would be for some of those beauts of yesteryear, to be resurrected, refurbished, and furnished with electric engines.
If I am wrong on that, then I have completely misjudged, and mistimed, my investment in the lithium sector. And it will be big booboo, boohoo tears all weekend around here.
Happy weekend, caddies.
I noticed this earlier - AIM was trading but the main markets were suspended, maybe AIM occupies different infrastructure...
My first Rem shares cost over a penny EACH! Shiny at the time. Not a penny for over 10 shares! (Aug, 4 years ago).
Boy. All the hype and projections I read , about what the shareprice was going to be, was touted to become, party time anticipated, people steaming hats and frocks for the ‘do’.....all that happy chat.
I was forever making calculations in my mind, as I went about my daily jobs, working out how much I would have if the shareprice reached ‘such-and-such’.
I can absolutely say, that NOT ONE of those calculations involved our shareprice being 0.09 of a penny! Not one of my calcs, actually, involved the share price being less than I originally paid for them....I thought that I had stumbled upon something good......
So far, the best thing about this share, has been this chat board. Fellow sufferers have made the pain bearable. Which is a tad sad, really. However, if we ever get into a recovery position, I fully expect jubilation all round. If not, a problem shared, is a problem halved. I’m hoping to attend the AGM, and ask, “whatever happened to our share-price?”
Don't you mean Auroch, Aurora is a cannabis company;)
Sickening is the right word.
Invested directly into EMH and BCN and these have tanked - but better holding them directly rather than via KDNC.
I have 5 lithium-related shares. These 3 plus PREM, TSI, plus VAST (minerals/diamonds).
TSI, a rank outlier with lithium interests in Mali) have transmogrified (positively) into Weshop,
PREM seems to be on its death bed. (Lenigas had some involvement with PREM with regard to Zulu lithium).
KDNC (as REM) was very beneficial in the heyday of 2013 and I'm interested in their Aurora holdings ---if they keep these as a bedrock and don't divest like they did with Bacanora.
I was out for some time until I got in again at 0.0016 (decimal place prob. in the wrong place).
£3.2k underwater, but I suspect that is small beer compared with some holders here.
It was me.The Chinese co involved with Bacanora is to supply Tesla and should give KDNC a lift in the future.
Me too mate sickening
1MILLION Shares £950 and no one wants to know i paid £10,000.00 + for a million

MrJ, that is more detail than I ever hoped for! Thank you.
Well, I certainly hope that you are right. I think that many of us are underwater. Cannot imagine who isn’t? Anyone in the blue?
Talking about ‘blue’, just seen a story on the SW news about an autonomous mine-sweeping boat being tested.
They went on to say that they were doing the same with subs as well.
I never know if “autonomous” always means ‘electric’, or, only sometimes?
However, they went on to say that they were working on improving the ‘blue’ technology, or something.....
Also, off topic. I do not have much of an opinion either way, however:
With the British steel help-line/buyout, if the pension fund of another country finds the company attractive, how come one of our home ones does not?
Just thinking about making cars. And things. And, brexit or not, surely we will require steel for something we may, or may not, begin to manufacture.
Frankie, the main reason is the director buys at 0.11 having been invested for over 6 yrs here and had many chances off selling out at a profit I do think something will happen to at least spike the sp even if it is temporary. Also the selling of the jvs is a big possibility, hell even the bungling BOD seem to be now getting the hang of it a return of a bit of positive sentiment and some good news could release me and a few others from the strangle hold we have been under.
It's on nex
