Good Day!
I already have Kavango on my watchlist for many months, but still did not find an online stock broker who has it in its portfolio. I am with IBKR, but they dont trade it. And most other stock brokers, like IG or AVA, do not offer Kavango nor accounts to Austrian customers.
Anyone can recommend a platform which offers 1) Kavango and 2) accounts to Austrians, no-UK residents?
Lobo knows his stuff when it comes to the commodity sector and is a highly respected speculator in America/Canada. This was a real grilling by him and BT responded superbly. What it shows is the genuineness of what BT was saying, in that he was able to respond to every point. Key takeaways:
-KCB drilling to start in around 6 weeks.
-Looking at generating revenue from the tailings dump within 4 months.
-Upscaling existing production within 3 months.
-Access to a 40 million funding facility if needed.
Very exciting period coming up here for sure and can't wait to see what news KAV puts out in the coming weeks and months. GLA

An excellent interview that I think plenty of people will appreciate. Unlike most, this ain't no puff piece by paid promoters.

Came across this interview today. Tsodilo Resources with iron ore and copper in Botswana. I am aware of tsodilo but cant say i know much about them and their history. But the CEO sure came across as positive about prospects. Copper and gold are the 2 'flavours of the month' using their words in the interview. Really interseting !!
KAV 2.0 - I like it! Yes, a good way of looking at things. If they hit copper at KCB, that would be huge!
I think a close above 1.2p will then bring 1.5p into sights. Good buy level this as its the same price paid by the Kasangra's and they bought before the encouraging early news coming out of Zim.
Also interesting to overlay the current chart with the one starting nearly exactly 4 years ago.
I first bought in here about 1.2p. I noticed the steady news flow and building excitement, and read everything the company had put out. By the time I was persuaded, it was at 1.2p, and I realised my chance to buy sub 1p had been missed. But the corner had been turned. Some fresh appointments and fresh focus made it a great time to get on board.
I wasn't disappointed. I ended up topping up at progressively higher levels.
What happened then was a crash for a few reasons, the biggest of which was the KSZ miss. The other was the need to place at a discount to people who would flip quickly.
As said earlier today, this is now Kavango 2.0. And funnily enough we're at 1.2p on the offer (or were yesterday). Someone looking at this now would see building news flow and excitement at what they might find. Like me 4 years ago, they'll realise they missed sub 1p, but the corner is turned so it's IMO a great entry. DYOR. Some excellent appointments and a fresh focus.
The question is what could go wrong this time. I think their ground work is much more focused and evidence led. The team is very qualified with past discoveries under the belts of Steve and Dave. No guarantees what they'll find, but the company is in better shape.
And no discounted placings to quick flippers, because there is a cornerstone investor.
So this time the chart could follow a similar path, only without the downturn where things went wrong last time.
That's what I'm hoping for.
If the chart ends up with the kind of symmetry I see suprisingly often it will hit 10p in the next 18 months.
Yes - I definitely plan to see how things pan out here. We've barely got going in Zim and KCB, and so time is needed to let this all come to fruition. But we can move forward with some confidence.
I think Kav will make a meaningful discovery on the KCB....
I think our high net worth investors are taking a punt on that very possibility and to be honest..
The KCB tenements are where its at in my eyes and Dave knows the dance around that neck of the woods...
I have never had a bad word to say about Ben , I like his optimistic take on opportunity...
For me Kav will come good back to new highs of 6p plus possibly 10p if the ducks line up just so...

And to
I agree. It's time to look forward. This is potentially a multibagger in the making from these low levels. Lot's of drilling and results to come. By the end of this quarter, KAV will be drilling for copper and gold at the same time. Every chance we will be trading above 1.5p just on the drilling, and then the upside from that level will depend on the results.
BT is looking to make a new all time high in the share price, which would be 6.5! That will likely need a discovery at the KCB. Very exciting period coming up for sure though! GLA
Re Ben: true he has got over excited in the past, Ditau has gone from priority to back burner.
But what I will say is you are now looking at KAV 2.0 which is very much Ben's creation whereas the original portfolio was put together by Michael Foster & in hindsight there was too much geological risk. Behind Ben is Peter Wynter Bee, Purebond, Steve Smith (Zimbabwe gold consultant) & Dave Catterall (KCB expert). KAV (& Ben) has matured , the reality is get rich quick schemes rarely work so KAV 2.0 is tightly focussed by these experts. There's been a series of RNS's, small steps but nonetheless showing progress on the ground. Nara & Karakubis both company makers are being drilled Q1/Q2 24. As a LTH things are looking up for KAV.
Ben became CEO in June 2021.
‘It seem Ben is happy so if he is so am I’
You obviously don’t know anything about him. He gets excited about anything!!!!
I recall in 2019 (I think) he promised investors a Christmas present and there was talk of share prices go to 20p.
There is suppose to be some upside in the resource & gold has migrated over the last 60 years to lower parts of the tailings. Remains to be seen, but its a c$10m project over 3 years and probably throw off $5m of cash which pays for further drilling at Nara. KAV have a fledgling business KAV Mining with perhaps 3-4 projects on the go, none of them earth shattering but its about learning & creating cashflow before larger gold production at Hillside, Leopard & Nara which is a good 3 years away. I do wonder if Pambili NR (KAV c10% holding) gets rolled into KAV Mining as very similar operations.
Done my best to understand the RNS results but am somewhat confused but it seems like Ben Turney is well pleased with the tailings and if he is happy so am I . Especially given that the stuff has already been mined. Theres gold in them thar tailings but it does seem a bit over the top to me but then I am not a gold tailings person. Either way with the POG unlikely to fall this is 'almost ready' cash once the processing comes available.
They've also said today they expect to exercise the Hillside option before 23 April i.e. within the next week
Things are lining up well here. Good to see some liquidity return to the share. BT tweeted earlier that he is looking to make a new all time high in KAV’s share price in 2024. Bring it on!
From Telegram Hive:
"Dee, if you work on a shaft sinking cost of US$1,000 a meter, it will only cost us $100,000 to get a 2m x 2m shaft down to the ore zone.
If you work on the basis each level in a mine is roughly 30m to 40m we’re only talking about getting down to 4 Level to start mining
We then need to put a concrete collar and headgear on the shaft. Prospect 4 already has power and there is a small lake about 300m away
We still need to calculate the true width of the vein but the 29g/t grade is nearly an ounce a ton. That is exceptional
Prospect 4 sits about 10km north of Prospect 1, where our stamp mill processing plant is. That is easily in trucking distance
As you can see in the RNS today the gold in the high grade zone is visible, strongly suggesting it is free gold. We need to do further testing work on this but if this is correct it will mean the ore can be processed easily
We are very encouraged that the geology confirms the IP survey. This gives us a clear roadmap for testing this zone further with drilling and (more importantly) gives us confidence that we can test what we believe are 3 other shear zones in the close proximity. Artisanal work strongly suggests these are also gold bearing, offering potential for future expansion
Prospect 4 doesn’t look like it will be an open-pit opportunity but we never expected that. Instead it looks like a near surface, extremely high grade underground opportunity that we can hopefully bring into production for relatively little investment and very quickly
Having set Kavango Mining up, we’ve positioned ourselves to move swiftly on an opportunity like this if one presented itself, while pursuing exploration for the much larger, open pit style of mineralisation"
From Telegram, when asked about mining strategy this morning BT said:
"Our strategy will change on specific results. Ultimately we are looking for mineable deposits we can bring into production quickly
As you’ve correctly deduced this looks like a very high-grade, near surface opportunity, which is why we’ve highlighted KAV Mining
This is running at nearly an ounce a ton and sinking a shaft to it will be no problem
This is a massive step forward for KAV
The 3 untested shear zones are very exciting because they all seem to be being mined by artisanals (meaning they likely host gold at a good grade) and we seem to have picked them up accurately using the geophysics (the current drill results align perfectly with the IP result over the shear zone we tested)
Prospect 4 remains our 4th ranked target at Hillside, so this project is looking really strong for our 1Moz overall goal"
EDIT - sorry. slip of the pen: 4th para starts "They would've known", obviously!!! didn't let me correct edit it... apologies
Applying a paltry 1.1g/t Au cut-off grade, all you get is 30cm at 200g/t at U/G mining depth. No evidence of any bulk mineable grade thickness in that hole at all.
OK that grade is truly impressive. But what does the repeat assaying or, given nugget effect, the screen fire assays show? The CP/QP does not say...
Allowing for mining diultion and the fact it appears 30 degrees oblique to the structure, is it really worth getting out of bed for? High grade gold in a skinny vein below old open workings? Roll out the barrel.
They've known about the VG since it was drilled (didn't mention it then in the RNS of 25 Jan), had pXRF available etc., so the in crowd would have been in the know.
Let's hope they find something noteworthy in the rest...
IMHO, DYOR, GLTAH
Seems to have gone straight into auction. Can't buy across two different platforms!!!
I added a few to my ISA on Friday. Wish I'd done it sooner!
