Indeed, soon the market will realize how much undervalued this company is with 1.34 million oz of Gold tailings ready to be processed.
And that's only Blyvoor, not mentioning the 1 MM USD Imweru proceedings and 13 MM USD net smelter royalties plus the Haneti project not even mentioned.
They had to do some CLN to get the initial cash together for the loan to the JV (which will be recouped), the latter part kind of coincided with the virus fear and 30 day lockdown in South Africa. They’ve now raised enough cash for foreseeable at 1.25p and add in this recent disposal, sees them ok for a good while. Basically we need some news on project finance or DFS then it gets tasty.
Thinking out loud the MCAP is £3M. $23M in gold per year for 35 years. What's the catch ? Have I missed something that accounts for the low SP at the moment (other than COVID-19 of course) ? GLA
cheers for that smacks. 35000 oz per year for 35 years not bad.
It’s not a 50% stake in Blyvoor gold mine, it’s a 50/50 JV with Blyvoor gold The company) in processing the tailings which are lying ready at the mine. 1.3m ounces yes. $664 all in cost per ounce.
Here’s the schnizzle;

Am I right in thinking we have a 50% stake in Blyvoor ? Is it 1.34 M oz gold that are present in the various tailings and just need processing ? If so, what is the actual value of the recovered gold (minus cost of extraction, etc.) ? With the current low SP and low amount of shares issued I am thinking double digit SP at some point, perhaps this year ? Any thoughts ? GLA
And under the current increasing gold prices towards 1800-1900 USD/oz it will only become even easier to get finance sorted for the 2.3 Billion USD Blyvoor tailings project.
Massive project really.
Corona has a mjaor pps impact on KAT, yet this does not impact KAT directly in any way. hence been buying at these levels. bakc over £4, before major gold production. buy/ hold, for mjaor gains ahead.
Starting to buy gold stocks with the government printing all this money. I like gold stocks with majors bought orr yesterday this is next on my list
and with an existing 1.34 million ounce of gold Blyvoor alone is currently worth nearly 2.3 Billion USD !
Gold again up today climbing towards 1688 USD/OZ, an increase of +2.5%
Good find !
The company seems to be rather active recently on twitter, more news due soon ?
Kat Pr machine started - tweets and vids etc - interesting
the bid seems to have increased
Remember on Blyvoor production could take off rapidly:...
The Project already has in place the requisite mining licence and environmental impact assessment ('EIA') for the reprocessing of the Tailings, allowing production to commence immediately upon commissioning of the processing plant.
And also:
"Our initial objective is to rapidly secure the project level funding required to construct and commission the plant to reprocess the Tailings in order to start generating revenues. I must emphasise that this is financing at the project level and does not represent dilution at the Katoro Gold plc level.
"In support of this, the necessary approvals are already in place, including a mining licence and EIA, meaning the JV is poised for immediate action as soon as the project funding has been secured."
