I'm not sure that was called for, noix. I've always made it pretty clear I find your posts well-researched, well thought out and helpful to all investors. Conversely there are others who, over a period of time, have sought to undermine JOG's directors, for whom I have great respect. They are extremely capable people (as their CVs make clear), their work ethic is beyond question and they are undoubtedly people of utmost integrity. How common are these traits in the whole of the stock market today, let alone in AIM? They have served shareholders extremely well since they took over the helm of the holed ship known as Trap Oil some 4 years ago. TRAP had a market cap of about £0.5m, no cash and a recent auditors' report that said they would go bust in a few months at best if a white knight didn't ride in pdq.
People who claim expertise and understanding they don't have are dangerous to others. Whether they realise it or not, some can be subject to influence by people who aren't qualified to express the views they do. I was only referring to one or two people - make up your mind who they are.
People might look back at the number of things the people I refer to have found wrong with the way JOG's directors have conducted themselves. Of course we all want good news, but it is wholly unreasonable (and could well be very damaging) for JOG to issue 'interim news' just for the sake of it when so much is going on. The directors will announce what shareholders need to know as soon as they can - as they have always done. JOG isn't UKOG or SOU.
I see it is now JOG's PR that is found wanting. This latest comment is totally unjustified. It isn't the responsibility of directors of a listed company to make statements designed to influence the SP, nor is it the right of minority shareholders to be kept informed about what is going on, when the overall objectives have been explained and the directors are only half way through what is a complex and time consuming process.
My posts are only ever intended to be informative and I always make my views plain. No matter how certain anything might look, risk can never be eliminated entirely. Nothing I say is ever intended to constitute advice because everyone should make up their own mind. I do, however, try only to comment on things I understand and have experience of, which it is reasonably clear is not the case with some others, who would have people think they know what they're talking about when they don't.
Roll on Q4 and some full presentations on where JOG is currently sitting and how the directors view the future.

pt at least you regard it as banter which is fine. Hope others will take it the same way!!
FD - Don't understand your banter old boy.
pt. think about the possible post-holder here!!!
Looking solid here...5% a day will keep me happy!
Why should JOG's PR be included?
noix maybe this board should be shut down as it seems infested with "idiots, clueless individuals, armchair experts etc". Should JOG's " PR" be included!!!!
The big dick has told us all to stfu and who am I to ignore him.
Not sure if Messrs Benitz, Lansdell and Gibbs realise the incredible level of knowledge rattling around in the heads of some of the clowns on here today about what they should or shouldn't be doing, when and in what order. It's all so simple and straightforward to these armchair experts.
The word 'clueless' comes to mind.
It seems relatively straightforward to me. If you trust JOG's directors to achieve what they've shown every sign so far they are capable of within a defined timescale, then let them get on with it. They know far more about what's going on than ordinary shareholders here can ever hope to, assuming they were capable of understanding in the first place.
If you don't trust the directors then sell and put your money somewhere else.
Dunning Kruger appears to be a condition a few on here might be suffering from. Dunning-Kruger Effect is a cognitive bias whereby such is the level of incompetence of people who claim expertise in different subjects that are unable to recognize their own incompetence - too dim to recognise their own dimness.

The condition cannot be cured, but its effects can be mitigated by encouragement to STFU.

Shredders quite right and something which has not been emphasised. The OGA required substantial details of funding particularly 3rd party finance. It would give a clue if details of the Funding accepted by the OGA, were available. For the moment it is, with good reason, confidential.
It is reasonably certain the OGA requirements are fundamental to all the Licence awards and JOG even with it's strong cash balance requires a 3rd party.
Could even be a Major Shareholder building control!!!
Just a thought.
How do you think they were awarded the licences from the OGA during the last licensing round? They presented a plan which would have included financing. The OGA will not award a licence unless the case is pretty strong
Robs.....analogy is fair. Until the costs of production are known, and terms of an Option Agreement, the SP will likely remain in the present trading range.
Jog needs to share the plan for getting the oil out the ground asap. It’s like have the parts for a 911, but if you don’t know how (or more importantly can’t afford) to build the car, its as good as having a pile of scrap metal. Might make 3 GBP on the farm in news, but will need financing plans (farm down?) to close the gap to targets like this and beyond.
Well, I have been using 1 antivirus and 1 only for decades now. Never had a virus ever. I use it because it has very low system loading (so it does not slow your computer down) but also has over the years captured all viruses and eliminated them before they infect the computer. It costs something like 20 pounds a year, but its absolutely worth it. NOD32 from ESET cannot be more highly recommended.

30 day trial or buy.
Once you remove these bloated antivirus programs like Norton or Mcafee or Avast or AVG which slow your computer down and use something like NOD32 you will I am pretty sure see your computer speed up like new again.
Anyway, enough on AV..........markets open again soon, back to JOG :)
noix, I find one can spend a lot of time trying to keep up with what seems a constant flow of security programmes. I subscribe to computer Which but must confess their recommendations are not always what you expect.
I try to spring clean the system occasionally as speed can be an issue although how much is a build up of cookies or programmes downloaded when you subscribe to a new site is hard to know. Also not sure ISP speeds are that reliable.

Up until recently I used Avast with Defender immobilised. My computer used to take ages to boot up and I just lived with it.
I also use adw cleaner and malwarebytes as backup scanners- both top notch. Recently after a malwarebytes upgrade they gave me a 14 day free trial of the anti virus version, which I just allowed to expire. Around this time the computer got really slow, so I ran all the checks and no virus was detected. I spent half a day checking the router and isp download times.
As a final resort I used revo uninstaller (also top notch) to completely remove Malwarebytes and Avast. The computer was like brand new, with speeds I used to only dream of. I now use only Defender with ADWC and MWB as backup.
Whilst accepting that Google is the number one search engine, I believe they are a little too big for their boots. I don't like their constant requests for agreement to their terms or the "you are not a robot" if I engage the VPN in the Opera browser. I tried Yahoo as an alternative but they are very political. However, in looking for an alternative I came across little Duck Duck Go, who don't track searches (or so they say) and I now use them for basic stuff and Google for the more complex searches.
Proselenes thanks for your attention. Not sure paranoid is quite right as if Virus Warning flashes up and is ignored, the consequences could be dire.
Users have different Anti-Virus programmes, clearly some are better than others.
I have Avast on 1 PC ( the one which alerted) and the other has Windows 10 Defender programme.
I always use Total Virus and have just scanned the file ansd there are no problems.
PRO runs a few threads in the other place and I can assure you he isn't going to publish dodgy links.

For the paranoid, you can put any link into here and check for Malware and Virus before you open it. This is a virus check web page for links and files.
https://vms.drweb.com/online/?lng=en
.
Just bring it up on your dog & bone i did and there is no problem.
Trouble is some systems are so sensitive now they flag up any external files as potentially dangerous. I mean, do they expect you to live life in a cocoon.
Anyway, the files has zero virus and is totally clean.
Proselenes the link does have a problem. I went to open on one Laptop and got the AWOA warning ( Virus). Immediately closed down and opened using another computer which has a in-built Virus Protection programme. There was no problem with the 2nd PC.
It absolutely DOES NOT CONTAIN any virus.
contains a computer virus, dont open PDF
" The value of this asset position is not yet fully reflected in the share price "
I think we all realise that but it's just a matter of time before this re-rates
Appreciate the link proselenes
Thanks
