Sorry that was meant to be that a Star Zinc licence would at least de-risk the Sable purchase for JLP.
Nice and positive for JLP holders today as well - let's hope it is win win news - a Star Zinc licence would at least de-risk Kabwe for JLP.
Good luck with it Kalan. You're already up so room to manoeuvre now however you play it :)
Hey, I've got a few shares in GLR!
I like a gamble and I allow myself one pure "punt" at a time. GLR is it at the moment. Very risky, but potentially very high rewards (probably a ten bagger given its mcap this morning was 2m quid).
No real idea what this morning's share movements are about. Could be a leak. Could be a twitter organised P&D. Could be a placing. Time will tell.
I topped kp my GLR holding yesterday. I bought because the placing that I expected had happened to fund through to production (pinch of salt required). Also Colin was ssked at an investor conference about the licence and he said the applicstion was in. Also the mining authorities have a system that turns it around in 90 days (second pinch of salt). The licence is due now. Also JLP last rns described Sable as a processing hub for 3rd party material in the region- more than once. Also an offtake agreement with JLP just needs rubber stamping.
I bought because either they would get a licence or the iminent licence would attract the pump it up crowd.
Licence opens up to agreement and contractors already sussed out.
They may need more money and Colin is in charge. DYOR.
5 to 20 bagger IF it comes off. The odds suit me for a smallish gamble.
Hold no JLP at this time so I am biased. GLA.
Re Colin - Absolutely MH, more likely to be a cash call the way all these aim stocks with no income operate. Funding, Funding, Funding, every time. Anyone buying into Aim stocks that aren't well funded or making money are gambling big time
Ok, don’t really follow the glr board that closely and guess we’ll just have to wait and see what the situation is. I just remember the amount of times CB told us the tjate licence was about to be granted before it actually was, so always take his comments about licences and time scales with a pinch of salt.
There's no RNS regarding application but there are posts on the GLR bb that refer to an application in November and a 90 day wait and also that Colin was asked at their AGM in December and said so, but I didn't hear it with my own ears and I haven't seen an RNS with my own eyes either ! - The post is not being disputed on the GLR bb so maybe there is some truth in the application at least.
Hi topcatz, I was under the impression GLR haven’t applied for the licence. Their last couple of placings have been to pay for the licence application, but so far there hasn’t been any news on it. Would be very unlike CB not to announce an application has been made.
Morning Moneyhawk. I think GLR applied for their small scale licence in November or at least there is reference to it on a website somewhere but for me licences and Africa are no foregone conclusion by any means - Look at Dilakong!
TbtT. Good post re your JLP scorecard. Kabwe is where we need an update and one has to come soonish imo, either before or alongside the interims
Always looks a bit suspicious when share prices jump that much for no apparent reason. Possibly good news has leaked, maybe that they have actually applied for the mining licence, or maybe we have agreed an off take agreement prior to the licence being applied for.
On the other hand, may just be a pump and dump pre placing. Has been a while now since the last one, and they don’t seem to have done much since then.
The day Tijate gets sold will be a major white swan won't it.
Doubt they will be able to keep such a major deal under wraps though so the SP will do the talking beforehand. They will be joyful days if the time ever comes to pass :)
Why doesn't JLP buy GLR?
Leon has made it clear on many occasions that he sees JLP as a metals recovery company (i.e. a tailings/waste reprocessor) rather than as a true mining company.
Tjate is a legacy mining asset held over from the past of the company. It's potentially worth a great deal of money, so of course Jubilee are going to hold onto it for now. But they won't ever mine it; they will sell it for cash and a royalty to a mining company who knows how to do it properly.
Let's hope they get the small scale mining licence otherwise it's just speculative buying. Still a risk until that's awarded imo. Granted less profit to be made once awarded. Depends on your risk/reward appetite I guess
GLR is up 35% today and remains absurdly undervalued.
why if GLR is so good for JLP doesn't JLP BUY GLR?
hey Mr Bird
