Clueless…….4:30 tells you about the money left, not sure how old the interview is

Think someone said we still have the money left from the 10 million raise ( more than a year ago) So it hasn't been dipped into to run the company , then I can only assume it's for if a big brand want to switch ingredients to ours , but need to be assured that we have everything in place to guarantee supply of our product on a large scale if that decision is made , They may just decide to buy us out if they think that we have something that they'll use long term. One thing's for sure waitings going to be expensive if they do decide to buy far later . Dyor imo
Before I knew of the big brands that we were starting to sell to I was confident that we should be at 800 given our consistant growth rate.
The growth rate could be eclipsed now with the big brands coming on board. It makes lots of sense. It makes their products better, greener and cheaper.
It is hard to know how fast we will ramp up now but I'd guess 1200 is a fair valuation now.
Could be over 400p this week.
Hi DB
Cannot believe I missed this one, May last year (2023) as far as I can see.
https://www.henkel.co.uk/brands-and-businesses
https://www.schwarzkopf-professional.com/gb/en/styling/osis/curls-waves/tipsy-twirl.html
Henkel are also massive.
Large amount of products still to look through, but a styling gel very similar to Unilever styling gel product.

Thanks AJP, very interesting & another fascinating field for maybe 20. years down the line, once cosmetics, odour, paints, absorbents, et al are maxed out :-)
HI
Think that the trial ITX were involved in was more down to the delivery of the medication as opposed to being an actual part of the treatment? a very large market, but maybe a bit further down the line?

Maybe a liability too far then BD!
@dougerboy,
if you're interested in the fascinating properties of stereochemistry (is that an oxymoron...? No...), check out the story behind Thalidomide.
It's a 50/50 mixture (aka a racemic mixture) of two stereoisomers. One isomer has all the wonderful anti-sickness properties, but the other is the teratogenic form (the one that caused the birth-defects).
Nowadays scientists could separate the isomers and release a form that only has the good stereoisomer, however... the human body interconverts them! So our own body would produce a 50/50 mixture of the isomers regardless of which was initially given.
It's an interesting tale, and thalidomide is making a comeback, for some types of disease:

There certainly is s Elsol - and just found this piece of recent research (2022) where an acknowledgment to ITACONIX for their financial support is given. The essence of this research is this - if I’ve understood correctly - it is possible/would be the intention to use Itaconix manufactured polymers which can be made to be highly pH sensitive to deliver drugs into the body to locally attack low pH (acidic) environments - such as cancers. This is probably a long long way off on the ITX product roadmap, but given that it has been an active area of recent research, it sounds like it’s worth a question to John at the next Q&A. I wonder we are in discussion with any of the drug majors?
https://pubs.rsc.org/en/content/articlepdf/2022/na/d2na00399f
There is a significant amount of global lifescience/health/med tech R&D effort ongoing for Enhanced Drug Delivery/Inert implant based medical tech and woundcare tech. applications so its another place ITX can play in for sure in the future
I’ll take your word on that Elsol - in my next life I think I’m going to study chemistry!
Hi Elsol
Would this link into this then?

Thx DB. not seen this video before, alot of good history. I did not know this was a stereoisomer based chemistry (chiral) for our key subject of matter patent. This is important for the functionality aspects and maps to other innovations for drug NCE development to improved efficacy and safety. (E.g. a few years back an anti sickness/vomiting drug was launched by GSK which had only one of the bio active isomers in its composition. Cheers
Thanks DB
Had not watched that one for a while, how far we have come as a company eh, when you consider that was 9 years ago, would be great to get an interview from Yvon today to do a comparison on where we have come, the last 15 minutes or so was very interesting on the Patents and how extensive, granular and in-depth they are.
Hopefully all is good with Thordon and that he has just been very busy with work.
Not too long till we get the finals and can put some questions to John after the presentation. (2/3 weeks?)

Found it! And well worth a watch:

What‘s Thordon up to I wonder? Haven’t seen anything from him for a while. He’s normally pretty good on technical stuff.
Hi DB
Not sure where the question emanated from, but maybe genuine, I get it that there may still be some scepticism on the Unilever front, as regards ITX ingredients, but this for me is 100% genuine. Below is another site I scan from time to time.
Page 2
https://www.ewg.org/skindeep/browse/ingredients/862608-SODIUM_POLYITACONATE/
Updated Jan 2024, which suggests that this is a very new product.
ITX will I guess only know that they have received an order from Unilever, but may not know what the application is, unless they have been involved in the formulation?
Would be nice if we could have an IR person as the next addition to the staffing, as a point of contact to clear up some of the more trivial questions, leaving John free to tackle the bigger questions at the presentations?

Good Post AJP. And interestingly the first patent entry on the link you post https://patents.justia.com/inventor/yvon-durant has as co-inventor Jim Gordon. He is ex-Unilver. So I think the Itaconix Executive Team will know exactly what the „big boys“ Unilever, P&G, et al need.
I also recall seeing a video presentation a while back from the CTO Yvon Durant where he stressed the strategic significance of Itaconix‘ patented polymerisation production process. It was a fascinating watch.
Hi Leoboy
First of all what is the posters concern?
I am by no means an expert in this area, but where our IP lies is in the Ingredients we produce and the methodology under which these are prepared, many of the majors have tried and failed over the years, going back to the 1960's to produce the Green polymers that we have perfected on a commercial basis. We are not the only company who uses Itaconic Acid as can be garnered from the amount of raw materials are imported into the USA in a year. None of these would dare to try and impinge on our IP. There is nothing there that would concern me, if you look hard enough you will find many may patent applications, I think we are well covered there.
I tend to use Justina as a reference website.
https://patents.justia.com/search?q=Stuart+CAMPBELL-LEE+Thomas+Richard+POINTON
These guys have many entries, but as far as I can see there is no reference to polymers, some reference to acrylic's etc, so therefore would not be classed as a green application or anything to come close to what we are producing
https://itaconix.com/products/
As a reference I would have a look at the IP produced by ITX below and you will see where I am coming from.
https://patents.justia.com/inventor/yvon-durant
If this is not what you are after then please let me know and I will try and assist.
If there are any experts in this field then please feel free to jump in

Hi think this is the non polymerised molecule not subject to itx patented tech. SODIUM POLYITACONATE. I think the latter is our ingredient but they are using the former also in some preservative use from what I understand with very aqueous formulation. The patent gurus can confirm tomorrow....
Their is a guy - post 9922 on ADVFN re ITX posting re : https://patents.google.com/patent/WO2019233754A1/en
Hi
Still 3 positions to fill at ITX, but looks like they may have dropped Indeed and are now using Bamboo?
