My price was 537.3043 though. Expected 544 and a bit.
Yes, mine credited to my ShareCentre trading balance today. Not sure where to deploy yet.
Yes. £5.4221 / share held.
yes
Anyone received payment for INMARSAT shareholding yet?
As per my letter from thesharecentre: "if approved, the offer will be binding on all shareholders. It is expected that the scheme will become effective on the 29th November 2019, with the payment of the cash proceeds expected on or around the 14 December 2019". More info is available on the inmarsat website. Expecting the cash to hit my share account next week. Still think we got done of this one. Buyers got it cheap. GLA
I still hold Inmarsat shares, do you know if they have any value. I have not received any info from Inmarsat but thought there would be proceeds distributed after the delisting.
Can anyone explain if these shares are worth anything? I still have 860 Inmarsat shares but can’t find any price or news. I believe they have delisted from FTSE. Does that mean existing share holders will get any proceeds?
Never one to trust the Telegraph but interesting: https://www.telegraph.co.uk/business/2019/11/30/inmarsat-goes-battle-hedge-funds-save-5bn-takeover/
I've lost track what is happening. We're now 29/11 and still trading.
Now that ISAT has finally identified the Court on 28 November and that currency election (US $ or Sterling) has to be specified by the Shareholder by that date. But I hold shares in CREST by an intermediary and therefore how do I expedite.
Seeing a daily stream of 8.3's for Inmarsat. Is this a done deal or is there still potential for an alternative bid? Not sure there is much point holding unless there is potentially bigger things on the horizon.
Don't think the exchange rate can really explain this, after all there was a large spike up to 6.19 2 days back, something else must be going on to get such a large spike up. Dropping back slightly last two days but still well above SP buy out.
SP down yesterday and today on HMRC case from years back on unpaid revenue on satellite launches that seems to have gone against ISAT, although they had accointed for this already over the years to the tune of £100m
Hoping that the gap gets filled back up to 6.19 over the next week or so or it may just trickle back down to the 5.70 mark.
Who knows really what is going on behind the scenes, surely not us lowly private investors in any case. !!
I mean $ conversion to £ will be higher
I suppose collapse in Sterling so $ payment to shareholders will be higher
Does the weakness of the pound vs dollar really explain it?
The Ligado deal seems to be taking a long time to resolve ?
the SP is trading around 1% through the offer price taking into account the FX rate at the moment...read that there is some speculation that the ligado situation may be finally approved in the next few weeks and that could lead to an improvement in the offer terms
No other reason than the weakness of pound v dollar.
Kicking myself for selling too early.
I wondered if anyone had any idea why the SP keeps trickling up each day and now to a level above where the buy out offer per share was set. Seems odd that anyone wants to buy the share at this level if it is taken over with a price per share set and agreed lower, unless the deal is not done and the there is something else afoot.....anyone any thoughts.
Yesterday’s news but “Competition watchdog to probe $6bn Inmarsat private buyout”

Surely everyone on here isn't hanging on for some unexpected appreciation of sterling that would alter the maths of the transaction?
Hi all, can someone clarify a point for me please:
At some point in q4, the takeover will complete and my holding will be converted to cash at the rate of approximately $7 USD per share?
Thanks in advance.
Yep. Today's Global Express upgrade news should flush out rival bidders. Hope so, anyway.
the announcement today should spur any rivals into action and is that does not happen then the announced takeover looks a certainity imv.
You sound like me. Everything totally logical but somehow never turns out that way.....
Thanks Dinoken for the reply
