Hmm, in the short time since my last post the forecast eps has been reduced to 14.9p / share. Perhaps that explains the recent weakness in the share price.
Morning all,
I know this is the forum for its shares, but curious if anyone has previously invested in IPF bonds offering? I came across the 5 year offer on Primary Bid last week so have started looking at company fundamentals, credit ratings etc. Was just wondering if anyone has previously bought IPF bonds and if so, what their experience has been?
Any feedback very welcome.
All the best.
Forecast eps is 17p per share with the divi covered 1.87 times. How does the market justify this valuation?
How is this down today with the US inflation news. Odd.
Yes, I need a new screen on my phone! It’s very annoying!
Is the 'full stop' button jammed on your keyboard?
This is the frustrating side of investing. IPF produce solid results but they are marked down on concerns that potentially, future earnings may dip but ASOS rise on results day (Wednesday this week) after they announce a loss!
I think. the market has. concerns that. Poland. and possibly other. countries will regulate the. amount of interest. they may charge. However, overall, the. company. should. do well in the resent financial. climate. and. the dividend. prospects look. good.
Update seemed fine to me. Must be just a city fad to have a cheap SP here at moment. Maybe the markets feel higher interest rates will have an impact on business or maybe investors are adopting Cash Is King while rates are set to go higher? I don't know, looks cheap to me.
It’s appears as though the city aren’t too impressed with these results which is disappointing. At least we have an impressive dividend to look forward to.
Erm, make that volatile!
Up 5% on Friday, down 8% today! This is proving volition!
I've seen fair value estimates of between 250 and 300 (Morningstar says 252.7).
Doesn't mean to say I'll hold all the way there, but I think it's got a long way still to go (but what do I know?).
Another excellent day here. Any thoughts on where fair value lies (wondering when to start profit taking here)?
Now broken above 100p expect to move up and possibly retest previous 150p high of summer 2021. High progressive yield, excellent management, returning to previous pandemic growth levels of credit.
Hey, hey... i'm about to break even. CRAZY TIMES.
GLA
Clearly the market like these results. Faring a lot better than PFG, which I'm about to give up on.
... and impatient. Profits left in .. time to move on.
GLA.
Wow that was sell off down to 76p ... back to being patient :(
"Don't expect immediate results."
Fair point .... I recollect a few years ago, probably 2017 flipping a coin on IPF versus NAH ... both with very high dividends at the time ... I closed IPF .... position ...
.. I lost in settling for NAH.
;)
Don't expect immediate results...months rather than hours...but that's my policy with all my portfolio...could be long wait with some of the dogs I've bought though... but ipf is always a winner. But ssssh keep it quiet.
Took 88p this morning back in 82.5 now .. I'm an impatient type.
;)
As I said previously this share has to be traded very patiently and accept there might be times of great loss...but it has always come back for me and I always keep faith in it...I just need to learn to time my buys a little better but I'm very happy with my gains over the last couple of years. I wish I'd had the guts to put all my money in it...but I keep increasing my investment every buy.
The market thought this was worth 150p a share a year ago, so maybe now it's realised the drop was overdone?
This is always going to be un-loved share but a PE of 4 is ridiculously low.
So, half year results on the 27th of this month. With the director buys recently, I feel like it has to be good news. Does the market know something we don't here? Feel like this may spike on results day, but who knows?!
