Not with this stuff - just looking for an explanation to gator's comments about "counter-intuitive reports" on Bacton. Have been in this share a long time now alongside a number of LTHs, so expect a straight answer to a legitimate question as no mention of an issue at the Reception facility has been made by the BOD. Perhaps the ever-helpful Sailor can oblige?
“Rumbling” the term of choice, translated …. I simply made it up in my mind, hope it’s not toooo obvious ))
Hi mole that’s why I sold a share at loss to buy more here . Imo a non story I’m long here to end of year at least
Search the Web. It's a speculative story of would we turn it off if we had a UK shortage or low pressure. If there was a shortage what was produced would be valuable. But seems an odd one as the issue is the lack of LnG terminals for all the imported gas that landed in UK to ship. That is what has hurt IOG since march. Too much gas not too little. If they turned it off it may well result in alot of gas in UK but the politics of it would not look good in the face of Russian aggression and a crisis in Europe. Seems like a non story to me as either way the price will be strong next winter and the only way it would be reduced is a genuine shortage. Which implies higher not lower prices.
Take it you sold out and are looking for a cheaper entry again……not very subtle ..troll..
I read rumblings of a problem with Bacton and winter closing? Excuse my ignorance, but what is this all about?
1. The balance sheet structure is atrocious - but "we" all knew that when set up - a few lemons on here didn't appear to realise the significance of what was going on but it seems were just relieved the muppets who ran the company had "saved it" by giving the institutions and LOG "free / ridiculously cheap" shares - but hey ho - it kept them in jobs and ultra cheap options - so that is all that matters of course! Ironically because IOG made such a f up - they will likely wait as long as possible (so they can come out and say - actually we did know what we were doing, LOL!!) before they agree to sell their shares and options etc as they probably over estimate their "current" value and will have a veto for any attempted take-over - but I'm sure that wasn't the original intention of their "allocations of IOG"!!
So for long termers (like myself) this aint such a bad thing.
2. I can (dummy) sell past 520k shares and have given up as got bored so that implies there is (some) "interest" in the shares? Couldn't (dummy) sell 720k - so in between these is the "limit". I have IOG spread amongst different providers and different accounts.
All IMHO and DYOR and best of luck folks.
This is a smallish cap after all. If LOG is trying to decrease its position we will see volatility. Voluime is not that high. Nevertheless, I am surprised an II with deep pockets is yet to appear.
There are no public news on anything going wrong with production at the moment. But SailorNL could tell us what he sees offshore...
Of course, UK's government announcement they could close the Bacton interconnecter over the winter is all abour limiting the upside of gas producing companies. What if the EU does the same, if we have a shortfall at some point?
Key here is Southwark starting production in Q4... And I do not mean 31st December, but by the middle of November...

Mole - there is nothing normal about this share or the management strategy of this company. So many mistakes and mishaps now that we LTHs are getting resigned to the negativity that immediately follows the slightest hint of progress. For those that top sliced or sold shortly after first gas - well played! For those that stayed for the long haul with reasonable expectations of further advance it has become something like attempting to swim the channel with a fridge on your back
This is normal. When the company gifted large amounts of discounted shares to institutions and options with LOG in addition to loan conversions they have created this market. It needs alot more consistent volume to offset our frequent sellers and the market view that until IoG show consistent results it deserves to be discounted. There has been a disconnect for some time between the share price and the business. Long term it will correct itself based on the business results but on a day by day basis it's been difficult to watch for some time now.
Nice rise at Deltic on news I see.
Head scratching unbelievable
Wow. This is unexpected. Added at 28.6
Just bounced off the 200DMA. Never go through the first time.
Same old I'm afraid - sellers moving in the second we get a half decent rise.
I'm impressed if you think you can see a pattern to the SP JonFon, it's pretty elusive...
Tis up and down like a *****s knickers today!
Tree shake?
Price usually falls a few days before a bad news RNS. Is this a sign of something coming?
