I’ve left a few shares on this, but sold most! Anyone got any tips on any penny stocks to try to recover some losses on this? I will then do my research around any tips anyone has, as I know at the end of the day it is my risk! I’m new to stocks and shares
scott1984,
please state your trades BEFORE you do them.
Lets see you make your few hundred quid!
IF it was 100% certain either way then the board would have had a legal obligation to suspend the share dealing.
Because it can still go either way and no one is 100% certain of the outcome...it can continue.
So, 11:59pm tonight is the 'end' (or beginning) for their 'strategy' ('threats' of 'adim/closures') to come to fruition. Not CoP stock market? (4:30pm) So, almost 7.5 hours to still 'do a deal' then? Whatever happens WE will all be 'glued to screens' at 11:59 pm tonight. If it goes pete tong, i'm living on pot noodles for 'years'. lol. Won't be able to buy any at poundland (2 for £1) from closed shopping centres.Damn!
good luck to anyone with the guts to give it a go.
By no way experienced in this sector but surely the writing is on wall and has been for some time.
Lockdown eased and certain individuals are complete arses by going to these large confined spaces but once the initial novelty ceases, the majority will resort back to "fear factor" once second wave starts to tickle.
Would not want to be anywhere near retail property at the moment.... This brings me to commercial property, particularly in the service sector on which we heavily rely. The numbers men are looking at the facts on operations during lockdown and realised that they no longer need large corporate "bricks and sticks" - look at what the IT giants are doing in the US.
All of that square footage with no takers - what could possibly go wrong????????
Yup, don't stay in overnight here. Good chance to make a few hundred quid tho.
"The administrator has asked for 12 million upfront from the bond holders to keep the centres open."
Mere bagatelle
The virtual sales sign has been hoisted up for sometime . There certainly will be offers on the table by partners LandSec for example on Cardiff. Cale (The Kuwatis ) will pick up Derby for a tank of petrol and you can guarantee that local authorities who own the freehold like Watford and Eldon Square Newcastle will make sure they are up and running Then there is the Church Commissioners on the Metrocentre
Best offers within 4 weeks than a lockout for due diligence A number of of these centres can be parceled up and completed by September quarter day
Hi A-P: everyone here has an opinion but no one knows.
If you invest something, and you're lucky, the payback will likely be considerable. But I wouldn't suggest getting your hopes up and be prepared to loose the lot at 16:30 today.
Waiting on the sidelines for a day trade here. Think MMs will take down to 1p again for the next bounce. Check 5 minute RSI and MACD...I'll be back
Not a chance of government intervention here. This is an asset based company, albeit an active one that employs some staff. Any other business can hold the assets and the trading companies, the tenants, can most likely continue even in administration. Its deal or no deal for this one. I have spent a long career in property-government never helps us out!
How come Hertz share price has gone crazy over the last week or so, when they virtually the same as Intu, or am I missing something?
But they have struggled so far with a bailout. So why would there be one now? Rents a forecast to fall and you would be bonkers to throw more money their way. There has to be a good business proportion there.
The administrator has asked for 12 million upfront from the bond holders to keep the centres open. That wont last long. Otherwise all the centres will be padlocked until a buyer is found.
This share worth a gamble or what? I’m a rookie Haha
That Robin Hood app is nothing more than a platform to get clueless gamblers involved with the financial markets so they can profit from them. The app is made user friendly to entice the gamblers so they can get their quick fixes.
I hope the government will step in here and help. The retail industry is so vital to our economy and with so many businesses at risk of further collapse at a time our economy needs people out shopping and spending their money. The last thing the country needs in a post Covid recovery state is even higher unemployment levels. JMO. GLA.
The Administrator will take time to assess the business and ensure value for the bond holders. It will be a managed exit and unlikely to see Centres closed immediately. Yes there will be sales of assets in due course, maybe en bloc but most likely sales of individual centres or selected portfolios. Their job is partly to stabalise the business and to protect as much value for the bond holders and those with secured debt. Tenants who are withholding rents will come under pressure to pay up so some of them might go under, staffing levels will be looked at and probably trimmed. Unsecured debtors and equity holders will be last in the queue-unlikely to get anything and even if there is anything left in the pot after the secured debtors have been settle it will probably be years before the process completes. A pure gamble now and we won't know the answer until after close of markets today. On Monday we will either be cheering or jeering!
"They have until midnight so don’t expect anything before the close, will be announced in the news tomorrow with the official suspension RNS 7am Monday imo"
PROBABLY correct.
They have until midnight so don’t expect anything before the close, will be announced in the news tomorrow with the official suspension RNS 7am Monday imo
Just like US Robin Hood millennial board with deep furlough pockets.
My shares are toast.
Mm’s Having fun today playing it like a fiddle walking up the ask on no volume L2
Are they obliged to release a rns before 4:30?
what happens if no rns today?
Volume seems very high for this to be going down the toilet.
Gone past 12 am...
no RNS yet stating admin. Seems to be a lot of "gamblers" helping themselves to these worthless shares!
