whatamess In relation to your 12.57 post that is the knid of information that would be trated as commercial in confidence. Having said that I note that INFA has been strengthening capacity to write tenders so I would say it is possible that a tender would have been made. Also as INFA is unlikely to win every tender they bd they may want to adopt a policy of bidding on all contracts so as to improve thier chances of winning enough contracts to sustain the business. One final observation these contracts are in the range that Appledore would want to bid for and which we were told t the time of the Appledore purchase there was not mch competition.
I am going to cross my fingers on this one.
That's the million dollar question whatamess. Its easy to forget we are still less than a year in the making. Have we ramped up enough to tender for this type of big work? I hope so. Imagine the joy St landing that contract!
On reading this tender notice carefully I note that there will be three lots each valued at £58m so if INFA was to bid for and win all three lots then the total contract value would be £178m. Also it would seem possible for the work undr this contract to be done at either Belfast or Appledore as he dry dock at both is long enough.
Someone else said that that over a year ago and look what happened since lol. Just stop being so selfish haha. On a serious note, don't forget that the prospectus that was produced a while back (the one where u had to tell fibs to read it and say you were managing a million quid fund) stated that in November navantia will be looking to produce wind turbines with us. Best of luck for us all, and yes, they blummin well should be bidding already for the contract you highlight :)
Jabido. I forgot to add, if H&W are not aware nor bidding for the Calmac contract I should be selling my shareholding!
Lol Jabido. Thanks for the praise but my days of hard work are behind me!
All I yearn for these days is wee little blessings like marine licenses, FID's, and MOD FSS contracts for £1B or so.........
Hope you have emailed that link to infa speedy, along with your cv as I'm sure you could do a good job! :)
Tender deadline is Oct 5 - I wonder if we've put in a bid? This would be a nice addition to the H&W portfolio.
3.5yr maintenance contract worth £58M just across the North Channel - very convenient for both H&W and Calmac, based in Gourock.
