The general market trend is precious little to do with the sp malaise of INFA.The FTSE has fallen 6% in the past couple of months while INFA has fallen 30% in the same period.
The cause of our sorrow is Market Makers. For whatever reason they have been consistently massaging the sp downward despite good news and a super management whose communication with the market is impeccable. Nor would the massaging appear to be in the best interests of the MMs. By failing to make a decent market they have denied themselves a lot of revenue. It is obvious that the suppression of interest ,and the sp of INFA, is being carried out at the behest of some party, or of shorters. Until such times as those interests have been satisfied we are not going to get our just desserts.INFA is a brilliant prospect and without interference the sp would now be well north of 1p.
Someone on the other bb has quite rightly suggested that an equity investor won't commit until "the project has been costed and that will be...a few RNSs away".
But we know already from Infa's Jan 2018 presentation that the total construction cost back then was put at £308mn, based on indicative modelling from Jan 2017. That presentation further went on to say that "One of the Board’s objectives for the FEED is identifying ways to reduce the project capex".
One of those ways is to split up the total construction into modular units, starting with two caverns costing around £120mn. This figure is arrived at from the recently applied for £40mn EU grant money, at the maximum rate of award of 33.33%.
I am assuming that costs savings can be extracted by the FEED consultants, in line with earlier objectives, but we shall have to wait and see in February 2019 for this, I suppose. This is key to any prospective equity or indeed bank lending funder. There remains risk in the share price to the extent that costs have risen above that indicative amount, in the meanwhile or due to detailed analysis, design and costings, as that will have a direct bearing on the project's NPV. This revised but realistic NPV, even if based on a 40-year economic life rather than 20 years, will be important for any Infrastructure Fund to get interested, from a financing point of view.
In the meanwhile, I expect Infa to be pushing ahead firmly with negotiations with an offtake supplier (or two), to help with the subsequent govt-backed lending facility next year.
It will start hotting up here as November arrives. Time to add is whilst it remains quiet.
The SP drops another 8% I will be buying back in. Still got an eye on this. Great potential. GLA
Have you seen the market Snowman? It'll happen
FFS
Why is the market not responding to the tea-leaves ????!!!!!!
Nice buying O&W!! Screaming buy at this mcap and sp imo Lower than the recent directors buys
Well done OW. You’ll be filling in a TR1 form soon. I’m looking to see if there’s any director buys at this level. Maybe good news soon if the directors don’t dip in ?
I'm afraid we're fighting the big picture downward trend right now. Just hold tight and buy on weakness for mega returns next year. I have just added another 2mn.
Great RNS, time to drop the SP haha.
So boring now, this share gets traded like a biatch.
Hold for gold as they say
“InfraStrata plc (AIM: INFA), the UK quoted company focused on the development of natural gas storage capacity, is pleased to announce that it has submitted a new "grant for works" application in respect of its Islandmagee gas storage project (the "Project") to the EU (European Union) pursuant to the requirements of the Connecting Europe Facility grant reference: "CEF-Energy-2018-2". It should be noted that this new application does not impact the Company's existing EU grant for FEED ("Front End Engineering Design") works. As announced on 11 October 2018 FEED is progressing ahead of schedule with almost 70% of the pre-established milestones having been achieved. The application has been submitted for a grant intervention rate of 33.14%. This equates to a grant amount of circa £40 million towards the total construction cost of the Project's first phase of an initial two storage caverns.” Followed by; “Additionally, the company has obtained support from the governments of the UK (including Northern Ireland) and the Republic of Ireland for the Islandmagee project; and the UK government has awarded it ‘UK Guarantee Scheme’ status, which facilitates access to government guarantees on debt finance for 65% of the project cost.”
Bit of " future proofing " going on perhaps? Other uses for salt caverns have been mentioned
IslandMagee Energy, now. Hmm. I wonder why?
Excellent new Infrastrata plc website now available, looks like it was released today. Easy to follow through the various parts of the new website and it is impressive, especially for potential new investors. Well done the BoD.
ButcherBaker - Good find I have not looked at the website for a while & have been pleasantly surprised this morning I found it very vibrant.Onwards & upwards.
I'm a new investor here - was recommended to take a look at the company as their gas storage facility looks interesting and they've just overhauled the BoD.
And I've just spotted that they have a new website at https://www.infrastrataplc.com/. Very impressive - a vast improvement over the old one, and gives a very clear overview of the company's strategy and its Islandmagee project.
I suggest that everyone takes a look - good to see the company focusing on investor relations (the recent spate of RNSes and PR activity bodes well) and delivering a clear message on its aim and intentions!
Well said Spud.....it is so close I can smell it!
Nice 12K buy near to the close of trading today!
Our climb will be a sure, steady one.........the very best kind of rise..........because the value of this company and project is SOLID.
It is a simple question of how long the herd will hold off.....for pile in they definitely will!......the very clever one will get in early!!
From 11th Oct RNS "Advanced discussions continue between infrastrata with potential equity providers and offtake partners" From 22nd October RNS "Our detailed discussions with potential project equity funders and offtake partners continue" Down to the detail now........
I just do not understand it we have a positive RNS & now the SP has dropped further.I am now back to just break even.Rant over.
Woodburn was under the old management!
The new team have already stated infrastrata will no longer be involved with exploration projects, they are now 100% focused on infrastrata development projects.
Also infa has nothing to do with fracking!
The caverns are formed by slowly dissolving salt by solution mining
Excellent. Thank you Snowman. Exciting times.
They have said expected in February.
If the report is sent to the EU in December, How long will it take for an answer? Thanks.
14. Nov. Surface FEED Deliverables & Estimates Costain. 15 Nov. Subsurface FEED Deliverables & Estimates DEEP KBB. 16 Dec. Submit Reports To EU InfraStrata.
Islandmagee Gas Storage Project Update - Subsurface Milestones Completed InfraStrata plc (AIM: INFA), the UK quoted company focused on the development of natural gas storage capacity, is pleased to provide an update on the FEED ("Front End Engineering Design") progress for its Islandmagee gas storage project (the "Project"), having now achieved over 81% of the pre-established milestones (13/16). FEED commenced in May 2018 and is scheduled to be delivered in accordance with the EU Grant provisions. FEED remains on budget with no significant issues having arisen. Milestones 12 and 13 have now been completed, following excellent endeavours by DEEP KBB, our sub-surface contractor, to achieve these milestones ahead of schedule. The remaining elements of the FEED involve the compilation and finalisation of technical reports and a "P90" cost estimate for delivering the Project determined by probabilistic analysis. P90 values are established to provide a high level of confidence (90% confident) such that the Project out turn cost will have a 90% chance to be below this estimate and a 10% chance above. The reports required by the EU are anticipated to be submitted in December 2018.
more good news. BOD doing exactly what they said they would which is unusual on aim. happy to hold and add
