Oldtramp good find that ,gives us time to buy at this low price ,another buy for me on Monday
It could well be old tramp and I'm not fixated with any one particular delay reason.I do believe gas will have to come from somewhere until hydrogen and we can make hydrogen from gas .Lots to look forward to going forward and the ship destined for navantia rerouted to us if correct is certainly food for thought.
Chitta one possible reason for delay of ML could be the call for evidence on energy strategy for NI it ends 2/7 21
https://www.economy-ni.gov.uk/consultations/consultation-policy-options-new-energy-strategy-northern-ireland
If you read the documents it goes into detail on the potential of Gas/ Hydrogen use and storage etc
An interesting point is refit of Azure was meant to be carried out at Navantia dry dock Spain
https://www.cruiseindustrynews.com/cruise-news/22700-key-cruise-ship-drydocks-in-april.html
Chrisatrdg In relation to your 20.31 post I note from a notation on the Belfast Harbour website that the Azura will be travelling with passengers to Belfast. On the RNS point I presume that we will see one as this represents a breakthrough into the cruise market but I would have expected one earlier. Need to check the RNS to see what it said about the £1.6m contract as I do not think this was that contract.
Another of note the 2020 refit was due to have been in Spain so it looks like INFA actually took work from another yard.
That's a great read old tramp and there is a definite appetite to utilise gas in the kilroot and bally ballylumford power stations .Planning permission in place makes it laughable that infa still awaiting an announcement on the marine licence. So they can build an under ground pipeline to transport gas but are dilly dally ingredients over gas storage.I don't buy it and one of the reasons I believe the ML decision was a formality as long as infa met all her legal and enviromental requirements.Definitely believe something other than the ML is holding this up.
Hi stokey12 - Important post & shows H&W are moving forward.
Edit: I note that Azura is preparing for its move down coast to H&W looking forward to the RNS update hopefully next week.

Just seen this https://www.linkedin.com/posts/harlandwolff_we-are-proud-to-work-with-bmt-to-offer-an-activity-6814212918108913664--Gf5 Looks like collaboration with BMT is still ongoing.
Chitta have a look at this over bearing in mind the 2 power stations they own 1 being gas and one to be converted to gas / hydrogen which in the future will be able to run on 80 % hydrogen
Think you will find islandmagee is in the middle of the 2
Highly speculative but see what conclusions you come too

Have a great weekend all
OT
Need the sp low for some reason.
With the sp on its backside any company worth its salt would put out any news in particular the cruise ship discussed today.maybe they need the sp for some reason.
Well it seems obvious that the sp was destined for these lows and the paltry director buys are pathetic and viewed so by the market but it meanseems jw can say we tried to help the sp by buying in the market.Something is playing out here and it's big .I've made my feelings known about the gas project and I will lay odds the regasification vessel will be reserected. This was all about the gas /energy security and the shipbuilding although secondary will become significant..We really must be close to revelations but are dependent on progress elsewhere. Some entity will take a majority stake in the gas caverns and the gas vessel offshore Barrow.
To avoid any confusion this is the link to the delay in the refurbishment
https://www.worldofcruising.co.uk/cruise-news/azura-po-cruises-cruise-ship-secret
Stokey from the link "However, due to the global pandemic, Azura’s time in dry-dock has been delayed with as yet no inkling as to when she will receive the refresh she deserves."
So who knows but looks unlikely as it was offshore in Devon for most of 2020 before moving to Newcastle
As for an RNS ??
oldtramp In relation to your 15.16 post I note from that link that the 2020 refit was only for 12 days and not the 4 months for this one. I am not sure if that refit went ahead. I note that it was costed at £20m. If more extensive work is being done hence the longer dry dock stay we can look at the £20m as the floor. This begs the question where is the RNS?
Thanks Stokey you might find this interesting it gives some idea of cruise liner costs for refits and dry docking etc....quite an eye opener
https://www.cruisemapper.com/wiki/767-cruise-ship-refurbishment-dry-dock-schedule
I dont know about that
...but a relief RNS next week to say that the Saipem pre-contract work has been completed on schedule and the contract work has started as planned on July 1st....would be a good start
oldtramp In relation to your 14.57 post yes
Stokey in reply to your 05.07 post am I right in thinking SRQ means Ship Repair Quay ?
Just seen this https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-57602385?ns_mchannel=social&ns_source=twitter&ns_campaign=bbc_live&ns_linkname=57602385%26Tory%20defence%20chairman%20says%20UK%20needs%20bigger%20navy%262021-06-24T15%3A18%3A24.913Z&ns_fee=0&pinned_post_locator=urn:bbc:cps:curie:asset:7de8ccff-0d18-49ab-b9b1-f79aa8732db4&pinned_post_asset_id=57602385&pinned_post_type=share Looks like he is giving a hint as to what his select committee might recommend.
Hi Folks - I have just been to the back of the sofa & found a few hundred quid & just Bought 966 shares so rounding up to 21,000
deeply under water but here is hoping & that this may be the turning point for us all.Well I did say it was a 'Strong Buy'.
Good find gents I see it was originally meant to have a multi million pound refit in April 2020 but was cancelled due to COVID
https://www.worldofcruising.co.uk/cruise-news/azura-po-cruises-cruise-ship-secret
In April 2020, Azura was set to receive an extensive multi-million-pound refit. This included an overhaul of the open decks incorporating an improved alfresco bar and food experiences, new canopies and deck furniture, and revitalised pool areas.
Inside, passenger favourites including the Blue Bar, Brodies and Malabar were set to receive enhancements, along with a ship-wide makeover with new carpets, furniture and furnishing across all public spaces.
Having checked the cruise ship tab on the Belfast Harbour website the estimated duration of the stay of the Azura is from the 2 July 2021 to the 8 October 2021.
Exactly what I said months ago and repeated more recently (Sirious)
Good posts - To all sleuths on here - attached is the link to Belfast & to where Azura is.An RNS on this subject soon would be a good point to bury any possible negative news on the ML.If Azura is due in & clearly it is this will be a significant moment for H&W & I am sure the SP will start to lift also if we were to have another RNS from results from the infamous pipeline then it will be 'Boom' for us all.I am back to 'Strong Buy'.
