It seems John Wood is a head in the sand type of ceo when things start to go bad.
What a year, an absolute cluster fleck
With EOG getting their licenses they will need somewhere to store the gas.
I done some research Snowman and bought last year on average at 0.39 putting approx 1.5% of my worldly wealth into this company. It does have the chance to be a big winner but it also has a good chance of going bankrupt in the near future. After what has gone on this year i see the former being more likely than the latter, but will hold as i like a gamble, and that is exactly what it is right now.
But you tell people to do their own research then all you contribute is complete and utter fabricated nonsense thus, and then you tell others not to talk crap.
Apologies ...yes it should be of course "Wolff" ...German origin with British Partner ..what a team eh ..Need the Gov. To step up to the mark here ...a chance for Bojo to shine ...let's see if he's game or not !
I am sure some of them will be snapped up by INFA, it is a shame but thoughts are lots more will go in NI if no deal but probably scaremongering as they always do.
Good opportunity to pick up some quality fabricators/ engineers and create some local goodwill too just when we need them ...even better encourage our new found partners to take over the yard and build a few more FSRU's ...just a wild thought as I am no expert in such matters but wouldn't it just be wonderful as all the prices of the jigsaw start to gel together later in the year ..at last !!
Crl,
You're dead right about the project being a winner. Also the FSRU project has fabulous upside.
IMO EUA has potential to be a 100 bagger within few years..........high risk projects render high rewards on completion.
That's not advice for you Tonyh1975 by the way.....my only two bits of advice for you is do your own research and don't speak ill of people unless you want your own sh*t thrown back in your face.
On with the filter......I don't wish you ill, but on the other hand I don't have to put up with your cr*p either..........go well!
Evening Snow,
I don't remember that these funds should have been with us 6 months ago! where have you taken that from, I would be interested in a link to that information.
You also say we did not have previous grants held back, do you know that for sure?
It should not make one jot of difference what the individuals dishing out the funds think politically, as I said earlier we are dealing with the EU here not some far distant country in timbook too!! what goes on with the issuing or the declining of grant application has absolutely nothing to do with the unelected officials in Brussels, it would be like suggesting that the cabinet in the UK checked everything that relates to claims in the UK it just will not happen.
I think it is looking increasingly likely we will leave without a deal, about time too, we should have left 3 years ago and sat back waiting for the EU officials to come to us regarding a trade agreement instead of the unedifying sight of Mother Theresa flying back and forth on a daily basis begging for some pathetic deal!! you couldn't make it up!!
Regardless, this has nothing to do with the grant money which is due to Infa, as I stated, I believe these funds will be with us in September.
I agree with others, the sp decline is based on very slow progress this year on all fronts! as I said sometime ago I think JW got slightly ahead of himself.
Mr T
Snowman you are entitled to your view. I am a sceptic re. politics . I jave a University degree in it which takes me from Romans to Reagan, And the 40 or so years since of real-life political involvement. I am an utter cynic regarding politics as I have met many of the culprits who call themselves politicians and have been involved with Strasbourg and Brussels. If it depends on political whim then I am with you. If it depends on statutory and mandatory regulations as Mr. T says then I will take that fully into account. The cynic in me sits on the fence. I have seen much. But it would be grossly arrogant not to heed trust in processes as Mr. T says. We are each entitled to air our opinion and not be attacked for it.
I dearly trust this project will come to final fruition though.
'Again unless you can prove it is fact that they won't pay up, why bother coming out with conspiracy theory nonsense?'
Oh dear...someone missing the point here.
Firstly.....we did not have previous grants held back ....nor do most companies on aim under normal circumstances......but we should have been handed this six months ago......hardly a conspiracy theory!
Secondly.....not suggesting politicians are involved........but the people that dish out the grants themselves are going to have a very very strong view on Brexit and THEIR personal predjudices ARE going to have an influence as to whether they release money to a British company or if they are going to make them beg (if you think that may be unprofessional, this is the real world). Take the scenario that a board of six make the decisions....and just let your imagination run riot for a brief moment.......all six are very very very much against Brexit, especially a no deal (increasingly likely)....not beyond the realms of possibility is it....in fact extremely likely!!
Do you think they are going to say....Jesus....lets get that money over to the Brits as fast as is humanely possible...........I don't think so !.....smell the coffee !!!
If you don't want to believe that, I'm not forcing you to........I'm not 100% convinced of it myself, just floating it out there as a possibility. If you don't like it, use the filter.
Mr Wood’s recent shenanigans was destabilised lth.
He needs to step up and deliver something concrete, simple as, the sp will drift.
There seems to be a lot of scared PI's at the moment, CHILL OUT! nothing has gone wrong everything is progressing- and even more to be hopeful of FSRU for instance! Rome was not built in a day and overnight millionaires are rare but rest assured your money is safe just give it time to mature. AIMHO
I take your point respectfully. It probably just says more about me and my cynicism than reality. Appreciate you correcting me.
Crl,
This really isn't politics though, this is a grant application made by a UK based company to the EU funding authorities who agreed the claim at the outset and therefore there can be political involvement here. I think people are confusing this with political influences because we are talking about the EU, and everything at the moment surrounding the EU is political.
I would be amazed if EU politicians got involved with EU fund claims? it is not their remit to do so. Ive been involved with tourist funding claims here in the UK on and off over the past ten year's and these take time. Lots of paperwork involved, calculations, audit of claims and so forth. The final claim is often the slowest to progress as the whols claim has to be reviewed to ensure the final claim monies are calculated correctly.
Mr T
I prefer to agree with you. Very much so as I have much at stake. So I choose to go along with what you assert. I was really just supporting Snowman’s right to question. And displaying my political cynicism ha ing been involved in politics for 40 + years . I have seen many Machiavellian tricks. I prefer your path though
Oversold.
Morning All,
In my humble opinion it is ludicrous to suggest the EU would not release the funds due to Infastrata. These are monies that the EU agreed to pay upon receiving full and final confirmation from Infa of costs incurred in the project including I suggest all paperwork and invoices to substantiate their claim.
I'm no fan of the EU, we should have been out by now, but, in all seriousness, we are not dealing with some far flung country in Africa here, we are dealing with our european neighbours who the UK pays a significant amount to? I think we are the second largest contributor to the EU fund! Or were!
My opinion is that the money will be with us in September, I see no reason for it not to be.
Mr T
I had 2 lots of the full sum in Icelandic banks in 2008. Did not consider banks going bust until then. Snpwman is only putting forward the possibility of the sum being withheld by EU. Certainly possible....agreement or not. Legal entitlement or not. All being well ...will not happen.
There is no such thing as crashing out, that is simpleton speak.
It is £1.6 million a mere drop in the ocean, whilst i may dislike the EU if this sum is legally entitled to be handed over they will not be playing games.
Why is there endless conspiracy theories going on with the reason the share price of this company has tanked, as opposed to accepting realisations that the people running the company have not progressed as far as claimed up until this point in 2019. The only thing they manage to successfully do is dilute the outstanding shares.
I expect the EU are playing games and holding the 1.6M and will possibly refuse to honour it if we crash out on October 31st....but in that event, the UK Government have pledged to honour it anyway......so win/win for us on that score.
We've been languishing for some time now and have suffered a few minor setbacks but hopefully won't be long now before a very strong stream of positive news starts.....regarding Vitol term sheet converted into a full gas storage agreement, equity/debt funding news, baseline marine survey completed satisfactorily, update on SNIP progress, FID preparations and construction phase update, DD completed re FSRU.
Lots of potentially transformational news to come in coming weeks/months ......... project(s) getting to an exciting stage now.
