Just to clarify Lottie i got that info from
Cenkos 6th May
"We consider this to be a low-risk contract, with the structures relatively easy to fabricate, and the required materials being provided by Saipem (negating the risk of supply chain issues, or fluctuating input prices)
Hi Lottie i believe Saipem are responsible for providing the steel as part of the contract
One reason a seller might justify at these levels is concerns that the apprx 75% rise in steel prices (past 12 months) might make the Saipem contract potentially significant loss making. Profit warnings from the big players, Siemens Gamesa and Vestas, have hit their shares hard following profit (commodity based) downgrades. Lets hope INFA bought steel forward and are not the wrong side of this price move.
Hi TTNY Lets hope we get an RNS on 1st cut of steel to raise awareness similar to what has happened at Methil previously
https://www.oedigital.com/news/458628-first-cut-on-cygnus-jackets
That's great news OT. Thanks for posting.
We knew Beautrident was coming to the port of Methil but didn't know if it was coming to H & W or just into the general port. She has a 7,200 tonne carrying capacity and lets hope she has every single tonnage of that in steel to offload.
There's another 2 general cargo ships due in Methil tomorrow and Saturday (Francisca and Baltica Hav) so fingers crossed they might be coming to H & W with some steel too.
We need the Saipem contract to proceed as planned as the monthly payments from Saipem will be needed to keep the lights on without further capital raises or borrowings, until further contracts and payments come in.
ThisTimeNextYeer ref 17.22 Another point is that he was First Sea Lord from 2006 to 2009 so he would probably at least know of the current First Sea Lord so he may be in a position to lobby the First Sea Lord at the Army and Navy club for contrracts that do not need a tender.
For any one interested (prob no one ) Beautrident has just docked at H&W Methil to off load steel for NNG contract looked like it had to wait for high tide

Did infa headhunters find this new director or was he sent to the company ? (Chitta)
Your above question is an interesting one Chitta.
Now, thinking out loud (again).
We have a 290M, 115,000 tonne cruise ship in the Azura currently docked in the SRQ Belfast. It had a multi million pound refit postponed last year with the Covid situation. It's resuming it's cruise schedule in December coming. It will obviously need works completed before coming back into service and there's speculation in various blogs I've seen that it could be getting this postponed refit before coming back into service.
The Azura is operated by P & O Cruises and owned by Carnival.
Our incoming new NED is an NED for Carnival too.
Could these be linked that Carnival want one of 'their own' onboard the Infa ship before they commit to placing work with Infa ?
Could Carnival have told Infa to give Sir Jonathan a job to suss them out before placing major contracts ?
Could this appointment get an Azura contract over the line ?
Is Sir J's appointment not linked in any way whatsoever to Carnival work ?
Could Boris we have told Infa to give Sir J a job as he wants one of his navy boys sailing with Infa to report back with all things MOD work related.
Could Sir J get some MOD work over the line with a contract ?
Lots and lots and lots of questions.
Re : Lots. I'm glad to see our pal Lottie has topped up too, and ta Lots for your thoughts earlier on shorting behaviours and possibly giving a reason for a share price fall on what appears to be a positive RNS.
14:47:48 18.50 50,000 9,250 Listed as a sell but is is a buy, I think most of the sells are buys?

Today's LinkedIn post gives a glimpse into how things are going at Methil https://www.linkedin.com/posts/activity-6831162975781429248-NVn3
Things ramping up at H&W (Methil) with the erection underway of the large 65m boom crane. I will need to get the binoculars out with phase 2 of major deliveries of steel starting to arrive via vessels for the NNG project
** The only thing I can think even lol **
The only thing I thing I can think from today's announcement is that perhaps people are believing that any potential on MOD contracts is quite some way of as a result of today's appointment which Infa will hopefully see as a way to get their foot in the door at some point with a nice contract - but maybe not for a while....
Let's all hope for some bad news......maybe the sp will go up then
Hi All - Well I thought todays RNS would at least hold the SP if not a small increase but a 5.46% reduction is ludicrous. With regards the RNS agree with many of this mornings comments & in addition it says to me that someone of this NED's standing would not be joining a sinking ship - pardon the pun.Having thrown my crystal ball away it is just a matter of waiting for that major contract news RNS hence I am now saying 'Strong Buy'.So I am going agains the SP trend as todays RNS tells me something is around the corner.
I think the market reaction is caused by a mixture of silly season trading and the markets perhaps expecting something else to be announced. I would not be surprised for the losses to be reversed in quick order.
It’s only new contracts that matter the rest is just noise.
Hi All
On the face of it, looks like a really interesting appointment- for me the Carnival links are the interesting ones. Whilst the MOD clearly could be helpful, in reality his influence is likely to be very small in being able to bring MOD work to INFA.
I am surprised by the now 6%+ fall this morning, which concerns me what other news might be incoming...!!!
TheEast
Mmm, lead balloon?
All buys currently
Really positive and much needed appointment .. along with other significant hiring and recruitment drive let’s hope next RNS is contractual !
BlairPeach ref 22.40 post I checked the Belfast Harbour website this morning and its arrival is now tomorrow. The only ship in SRQ is the Azura if it was going to gas up any other ship I would expect it to go to the berth nearest to it. We can therefore more or less safely say that it is the third tanker to provide supplies for the Azura.
Those two trade of 10,000 are both buys. I should know because they were mine. Listed as sells
Did infa headhunters this new director or was he sent to the company.?
This is an excellent appointment, carnival cruise and the highest of mod contacts, it's a superb appointment! If ever an Ned could bring something to the table to assist a company surely this one ticks many boxes. Gla
