Interesting article which, on balance, supports the need for gas storage for at least 15-20 years. With regard to positive updates from the board, the interim figures are due soon and I would imagine they want to give a full and frank update on current and prospective trading conditions. I have seen companies in the past who try constantly to inflate their share price with any snippet of positive news they can muster. I am happy for fewer but stronger long term updates which give build confidence.

Current Uk Gov support for LNG and gas infrastructure jobs bodes well for Islandmagee and Barrow projects.

whatamess- and the director buys were not significant and mainly family/friends. The new PR guru needs to flex her muscles on how to achieve maximum effect from positive communication. Don't get me wrong I believe we will be MASSIVE but we could get the sp at the same stage as the business if we communicate to the market ( not Twitter linked-in, they are just ego boosting tact's).
Fantastic news this weekend in the post and other possible contracts coming ,this is growing very well ,those 5p warrants are looking like they may be a good deal imho next 18 months .....
Lotie123- agree, there is going to be a lot of help for worthy projects to start getting the coffers filled up again. I am not an expert in marine but can not see any justifiable reason to not give us the licence. I just wish the BOD would give regular updates, as the old saying goes " if you have nothing good to say-say nothing" and we have had nothing in the last month from the BOD, does that mean they are making nothing from these jobs? you would have thought the three sisters would be a significant contract; but nothing released, why?
Boris J is due to make a big announcement on infrastructure spending Tuesday in an attempt to kick start the economy. That would be perfect timing to confirm IM decision, positive, of course.
Seems there is a lot going on and if JW does have his shareholders interests he will update the market NOW!
When something good happens you need to shout it from the roof tops in an AIM environment, or continue to drift, on the grapevine it was stated that the three sisters was done at cost to get the PR???
I hope these cruise lines are paying cash in advance!
Hmm ..upon closer inspection of the Belfast Harbour Ship Locator the Viking Sun appears to be just outside the Building Dock gate..which makes a bit more sense -stand to be corrected on that one !!
Agreed..Good publicity but it would be better if there was an aerial shot showing the Viking Sun now in the Building Dock with Stena Europe...Some dock that we have !! I am informed that the work involved on the "Three Sisters" is quite extensive and not just post Covid necessary updates ( read into that what you will ) but also general maintenance .So on the former we must congratulate John Petticrew and his team ( in particular the renowned commercial expertise of William Duff ( look up his credential on the Web site or LinkedIn ) on securing the deal which involves quite some high speck work on high speck ships and the need for subcontractors of quality and keeping a close eye ( i am told ) on the estimators and costs in what is a fiercely competitive market of course .I posted some weeks ago that we would need to move on in time from looking after local Irish Sea Ferries to something bigger ....was not expecting the Vikings quite so soon --bit of a shock really. Anyhow the pictures are wonderful publicity and it would be nice to follow it up nationally showing what we can achieve despite all the groaners !! Onwards and upwards as they say .Maybe the voyage continues into calmer seas !
It's just a short article but good publicity for H & W in N Ireland's biggest selling daily newspaper the Belfast Telegraph.

Posted this a few months back regarding the Atemis and H&W link.

Sorry Chris O , already posted over on Twitter land!
Artemis technologies announced yesterday, £60 million funding to build zero emissions ferries, we seem to have a tie up with them “Already the company has received the backing and collaborative support from stakeholders including Belfast City Council, Belfast Harbour, Stena Line, Bombardier, Harland and Wolff, Queen’s University, Ulster University, Belfast Met, NIACE, Creative Composites and Catalyst Inc; and is the lead applicant on a UK Research and Innovation, Strength in Places funding call.”
It seems the mainstream media are all over this story now. Let's hope a little embarrassment spurns UK GOV/ MoD into "speedier" decisions and action!

Tango. Of course you are right regarding covid 19. But when that war is over and, at some point in the future, when China finally decides to stand up to US, let's hope our navy can venture far enough out of our "back yard" to present a credible threat. Hence my previous remarks re:FSS delays.
Speedy- We are already in a WAR- it is called covid-19 and most of the spare cash is going there, and not only the UK- THE WHOLE WORLD.
Interesting article you posted earlier, TTNY. Those cash burns though, jeeze.
Wrong Devon coast for me, but as I work on a cliffside property most of the time I give you all a shout if they pass by on the way North. :) If I had the eyes for it, nothing West between me and Newfoundland.
Was invested in QFI for years and recall some of the engines they were working with. So yeah , some of the those Mann diesel engines are gynourmous.
The rigging team were busy today at H & W. Stena Europe had its 30 tonne engine popped in earlier.
At 30 tonne that's a huge number of horses to push it through the waves.
30 tonnes is an big number of horses powering
Don't mention the ML. I mentioned it once , but I think I got away with it. :)
Just confirming what we already know, the program including relaunching the competition is running 18 to 36 months late. Shocking how the MOD and UK gov coordinate strategy and business. 2 carriers with one existing old FSS. Let's hope we don't have a war in the next 6 years!!
Somebody needs to address this soon......

I think we will see it next week !
I think it's a time now !
