The oil tanker stocks have had a run up, they tankers are being used to store a lot of the surplus oil once strategic reserves reach capacity. In January of this year a new regulation was passed with regards to maritime sulphur emissions, scrubbers etc. The Korean ship yards are building ships in compliance with the new regs but the tanker industry has a lot of old ships that are ready for the scrapyard....perhaps our hat could be in the ring for some of that work, perhaps we can’t fit in a vlcc but maybe a suez?

Marine ,morning which repair dock?
Be interesting to know how they ground it?

Looks like the Arrow is dry docking in Cammell Laird Shipyard, its a pity we couldn't take it. They need to get the Ship Repair dock back into service or possibly they have enough work as it is??
looks like the arrow is back to normal operations, must admit had me worried for a bit.
Thango lol think I prefer it! Sorry predictive txt
Than go, I agree completely
aim shares are driven by sentiment, with regular news sentiment increases and sp goes north, without news sp goes south no if's or but's.
There has been plenty of opportunity for infa to update the market with current events but chose not to, if the next news release is negative and we go below the 40's we need to get the bod to answer.
Loved your anecdote si.:D I know a bit about charts, a teeny bit. The RSI looks good for a buy. If I had spare dosh I'd put in a bit more. Any proper chartists feel free to correct me lol
It will whilst those in charge are making money from pi's.
Just sayin'. :)
I hear you Si. You're not alone thinking the MM's are up to their old tricks - it does not inspire confidence in any REAL rise any time soon. Possibly when ML is awarded? Definitely when/if FID goes ahead. One thing for sure............I'll be glad as soon as INFA can get out of "stinky" AIM and into the main market. How long can AIM go on in this unregulated form??
When I left for work this morning, 10'ish, yeah I know, don't do early starts anymore. :)
Anyhoo, was watching the 5 min chart and seeing this slowly step up on the price being paid. Think it was .44p when I finally swiched off. My thoughts as I left were, is this another fake rise to let one of our ii's sell a few more, or will it stick this time?
Can't get a signal out where I work, unless I walk a few fields over or climb up one of the towers.
So, just got in and checking out what actually transpired.
Looks kinda familiar, but mañana will tell.
Look Jane, there's a chart, says John.
A chart? Says Janet.
Yes, it shows you where previous short term ii's sold out, says John.
How very interesting, says Janet.
Not really, says John. They would all sell their grannys for a few percent on their investment.
What scumbags, says Jane.
Yes, says John.

a rabid fly spreads disease- what a strange choice for an ID!
It seems the present pandemic is forcing various cruise companies to advance the decommissioning of older and no longer profitable ships. It's cheaper to sell/scrap than keep burning money keeping them running through an uncertain future.

Rabfly am not sure they are actually sells like you say let's see what happens in the morning ,still think we will hit 0.50 soon imho
I've only just noticed this online but the Seatruck owned MV Arrow that was in H & W docks a few weeks back ran aground a few days ago in Aberdeen.
On vesselfinder It appears to be currently on route now to Liverpool with an expected arrival tomorrow morning.
I understand though it was on a 2 week lease to Serco for the Aberdeen / Lerwick route so not sure if she's back in service to Liverpool or heading here for assessment / repairs ?

last few minutes. Lets see what 7am brings.
Broomfielder - Inspirational thank you.
If we believe that the UK has basically got to revert to what it is/was good at, then manufacturing and heavy industry has to play its part.
For too long these areas were abandoned to other countries' subsidised entities which over time were allowed to eclipse the UK's former areas of success.
As we emerge from the Covid induced shutdown of our economy when allied to the increased risk of a no deal Brexit, it provides the Powers that be of a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to really do something different. Lets face it, they have little alternative.
Rightly there will be focus on the sexier elements of the economy such as biochemistry, hi tech etc., but there is a place for the INFA's of this world, and I think this is finally being recognised.
Jobs and industry across the country have to be diversfied in order that we don't become over dependent on certain sectors or countries (via raw material supplies or components etc).
As islands, you would think it common sense we should be building and repairing ships and other maritime capex. instead of always relying on others.
So I believe this time around, INFA will get the support of Gov funds. Timing as they say is everything and whilst noone would have chosen to launch in the midst of a global pandemic, this could actually be their deliverance.
Apologies.....it wasn't meant to sound like a political broadcast.
I guess this backs up what JW was saying......business is resuming it seems.
https://www.traveloffpath.com/first-cruise-line-back-at-sea-with-passengers/
By JW's message it is clear the yard is going to be full for the foreseeable future. I would love to know the £'s. He did actually do a breakdown of average costs of work in one of his rns's, I might sift it out and do a raw estimate calc.
When demand outstrips supply, costs go up- what a Fantastic position H&W are in for an explosive recovery.

'It’s interesting, whilst this article is a month or so old I am hearing and reading about substantial increase in Cruise bookings from next year onwards. Whilst not totally unexpected, given the recovery of the industry from previous shock events, the recovery has started before COVID is totally extinguished.
This also aligns with the substantial number of enquiries we currently have for Cruise vessel dry docking’s at Harland & Wolff. With the number of yards closed globally during the peak of the pandemic along with vessels falling out of class the return to service will be interesting. It looks increasingly likely that we are going to see a crunch, when owners look to bring vessels back into service they will need to wait on yard availability that will be stretched, it’s an interesting dynamic that we will see play out in the next eighteen months.'

Buys above the offer price again- all good. I will be happier when the volume gets to about 100 mil a day (which will be very soon) IMHO
