Mrozzy. I like what is written in the "Marine structures estimator" ad:
The team currently have a huge pipeline of project tenders, with large expansion plans for the next 12 months.
Opps......previous post for Whatamess.
Don't worry about your "winning buddy".......I got your back, bro!
Haha dont worry whatamess, you will see your 60p one day....when it consolidates again lol. No wonder you are desperately rubbishing other peoples views.
The bod have spunked so much money up the wall it puts a Soho alley to shame. 15p target...
Just yesterday the careers page had a lobbyist and welder required. Today.......a game changing list......I wonder why??????

I note that one of the jobs is the Head of Business Development - Defence I wonder if this is a different post than the Director of Business Development - Defence. If INFA thinks it can afford both then they must be looking to get a lot of Defence business. I note they are also strengthening the Marine side as well.
Amazing !!!!!!!!!!!
Referring to my earlier ML posts I find the following extraction from last years Annual Report (Page 13) interesting which opens up the whole debate as to what happens next.
'Whilst not legally necessary, the Board believed the data from these workstreams would be required in early 2020 given that this was always a condition of the draft licence. With the completion of all the work and collation of the latest data, there will now be substantial protection against any challenge that may be posed in relation to historic data. In addition, a public consultation has been agreed to share the new data that has been gathered throughout 2019. The new data shows no adverse effects and demonstrates an improvement in some areas. As a result of these efforts we believe a full marine licence incorporating an updated abstraction and discharge licence will be awarded in 2020.'

Stena Superfast V111 has now been moved to the smaller dock work must now about to begin.

Great post dawski37 - we should remain positive even though I believe the ML will not be resolved at best until Qtr 4. The ship building part of the Company spreads our bets & accounts for at worse 50% of the SP. It is now more than 3 weeks since the ML update so hopefully soon but not complete resolution.I wonder if the original plan for the lower number of caverns would have been less controversial.Onwards & upwards.
We are a minimum of 10-15 years away from the infrastructure needed for Hydrogen, but gas WILL fill that gap. IMHO
.... so reports The Times today indicating that Boris is energised by the prospect of a Green Recovery after Gas has run it's useful transition course from fossil fuels to zero carbon.
"Carbon drove the Industrial Revolution and Hydrogen can drive the Green Revolution. It can be used not only to fuel heavy goods vehicles and buses ( battery power is unlikley to be efficient ) and ships even but also to heat our homes."
Hydrogen has a great future. It can be produced indigenously and stored locally !! I.M. is potentially hydrogen compliant --a great future ..now more than ever as Nuclear is not going to fill the gap !! Stay calm and keep the faith here !!
We Just need a decision so we can regroup and move forward. this static state is damaging sentiment. IMHO
It's possible a JR will not be sought? The general acceptance that "losers pay the costs" should be enough of a deterrent to the nimby cause. United we stand!
LOL. A bit like taking penalties before kick-off! ??
Blimey! no decision yet and we are already fighting an appeal LOL.
whatamess In relation to your 10.41 post I am not spouting nonsense I used to work in a public law team so I do know what I am talking about. On a judical review application the court can make an interim remedy order to ensure the proceedings are not made devoid of any point as a result of the decision being carried out while the proceedings are going on.
whatamess In relation to your 08.03 post you have clearly never heard of an interim injunction which says just that.
whatamess In relation to your 08.03 post you have obviously never heard of an interim injunction which effetively says just that.
Speedy_Gonzalez In relation to your 20.59 post I was aware that any challenge would have to be by way ofa JR application. My point was that the state of the court lists is that even a totally without merit application can cause significant delay while the court processes it.
Whatamess. If you or any others here are interested, the link provides the only 2 recent judicial reviews brought against Daera. The Gibson case, surprisingly, has many direct similarities to "the locals Vs INFA". Reassuringly for us, Daeras original decisions including the awarding of a marine licence were both upheld.

Whatamess. Agreed........it seems the locals singalongs have been replaced by swimalongs! They'll need to swim around Ireland to raise the substantial legal funds required. I had a quick peek at their #stop infrastrata FB video - there is no shortage of disinformation, such as "the project is in the same location as the Gibbons coastal path." who is feeding them this info?
Stokey. If/when DAERA "recommends" the awarding of the ML, the only appeal (Judicial review) the locals can make is against the process involved and whether DAERA did not folow the regulatory guidelines. They can no longer argue objections to infa, need for gas storage, pollution, etc. I doubt the Judicial review, inspite of Covid, will delay the process substantially. Bear in mind the Islandmagee project manager began his appointment on Sept 1st, so I would venture to say "JW's confidence is high!"
I have just come across this story https://www.larnetimes.co.uk/news/environment/linda-hits-waves-support-no-gas-caverns-campaign-2966045 looks like the local opposition are getting ready for a legal fight. Unless the Northern Ireland Courts are less log jammed than there England counterpart any legal dispute will go on possibly for years with appeals. Infa may want to start looking seriously at a Private Act of Parliament.
Thankfully Chris Grayling accepted another position with Hutchinson ports on a salary of 100k for 7 hrs per week.
