Cheers Speedy and Daws for that, and obviously Jab asking the question re the Tr1.
I just Googled Stephen Roser and WOW, that's one impressive work life CV this guy has. His knowledge and experience in the oil, gas and energy sectors is extensive. An investor like that increasing his holding is massive encouragement for me.
Ps - If you're reading this Stephen, I hope it didn't sound patronizing singing your praises, and honestly I'm not a stalker with my Googling of ya, lol. Maybe you might even pop a wee post on with some thoughts on where you see us (INFA) being and maybe going. Cheers.

Stephen is indeed a long term SH and also a past Board member some time ago with immense knowledge and experience of the company. He posts occasionally I believe. His bold move and confidence augurs well for us all !!
Thanks speedy - stokey I hope there is more news to follow - I'd be pretty miffed with the pr section for hinting about that, and then nothing happens. GLA
Stokey12- I find that tweet rather patronising (as a long term holder). No new contract news and starting to get cryptic! obviously nothing substantial in it as would need to be released, so just another attempt to muster interest without any tangible reason given. nice to see the photos of working on the ships but not the rubbish written. IMHO
Jabido. I believe Stephen is a very long time shareholder and occasional poster here. He must be feeling good about direction of travel.
Morning, can anyone shed some light on the tr1 holder announced this morning? Is it a regular contributor to this board? Probably the 50k buy yesterday to put him over the 3%.Good luck with your investment, hope it brings you (and me) great fortune : D
I have just come across this written answer
'Warships: Shipbuilding
Taiwo Owatemi: [90279]
To ask the Secretary of State for Defence, what assessment his Department has made of the potential economic merits of building naval support vessels in UK shipyards.
Jeremy Quin:
This Government is acutely aware of the significant contribution to the economy by the shipbuilding enterprise. The National Shipbuilding Strategy recognises the economic value that naval shipbuilding brings to the UK through design, build, and the supply chain. Economic assessments are made on all major Ministry of Defence procurements in line with Her Majesty's Treasury guidelines on value for money.'
I am not sure how this helps Team Resolute if it does.
I have seen this tweet on the H & W twitter feed https://twitter.com/Harland_Wolff1/status/1308878342360379394 it is very cryptic. Are we actually going to get some news of a contract?
Was not trying the extract the urine there, btw. My eldest lives in Hianan. Which always sounds like a greeting to his Granny.
Did get a snippet of news from someone in the loop that there were more discussuions at No10 regarding sorting out the ship yards than there were for the HS2. Guessing that JW was part of that. Local opinion is that there was no way that we would have taken on Appledore without some clear signs that we would get something to work on. IMO, it's going to be something small, to start with. But as a larger group, it could be a lot more.
Still not back in, fully. Biding my time. Will wait till the time is right.
Might miss out, but doing well elsewhere, for the time being.
GLA, Si. :)
Weihai, sounds more like a Jordie greeting. :)
No probs BT. I don't see it that way though BT that H & W have an over reliance on Stena. Stena announced back in July a contract worth 2.5 million to carry out repairs and upgrades to 6 Stena ferries. I believe JW has previously said they need around 25 million turnover to break even this year. If that figure's achieved, Stena won't be be a massive percentage of that.
Stena have been dealing with H & W for 40+ years now. Personally i regard them as a good customer providing a steady stream of repairs and maintenance work (and therefore income), but not a customer that is going to dramatically affect any massive share price rise. Now if they started to use H & W to build their ferries that would be a game changer. They're having 2 E-Flexer ferries being built in Weihai, China at the minute.
Thanks for the link TTNY, shows quite a bit of in/out traffic over the next days.
I'm not too happy at the apparent over reliance on Stena - let's hope we are
able to expand the range of users/lines. However must not ignore the fact that
we must be doing something right to keep attracting Stena, maybe it's the price!!!
Nice £50K Buy
Dohhhhhhh ! ! (Cheers Tango, lol)
Thanks TTNY, it will be interesting to see how quickly other ships replace them - giving us an idea of how the order book is looking
TTNY 30th is Wednesday :-)
The Belfast Harbour website shows all the marine traffic in and out of Belfast docks, which includes the docks in Harland & Wolff.
According to this site the Stena Superfast VIII is due to leave tomorrow from Belfast Dry Dock (BDD) and Oeceanex Connaigra is scheduled to leave Thursday 30th Sept from Belfast Building Dock (BBD).
The vesselfinder.com site is useful to see vessel details and positions of the ships, and the Belfast Harbour site is a good site to see movements in and out for 7 days in advance. I've posted the Belfast Harbour site below for anyone interested. (The 'Traffic Expected' tab is where you see the ship arrivals and departures).

Stokey, I agree. Initially I was concerned the H&W Belfast would not be competitive in the FSS competition, due mainly to not building a ship, let alone a sophisticated "warship, in decades. However, the Navantia teaming agreement, with their considerable know-how and reputation, plus with Appledores modern infrastructure contributing blocks, as they did for the aircraft carriers, I believe INFA could indeed be a frontrunner on the basis of cost and the levelling up focus of the National Shipbuilding Strategy.
Speedy_Gonzalez In relation to your 16.19 post this is potentially very good news for INFA in particular and Team Resolute in general. If I recall the other main domestic competitor is behind on current contracts which would put Team Resolute in a good position particularly if they can demonstrate that they have a record of delivering contractson time. Also if the ships have to be built in the UK that would mean the bulk of the contract if won by team resolute may end up with INFA.
Re this mornings post, in comparison to what's allowed on the advn boards this was tame. With the low level of of regulation on AIM the BB boards who get their revenue from advertising seem happy to let it continue.
Whatamess. There was a post put on this morning where a named INFA individual was called a 'con artist'. This post was rapidly removed as i imagine it was reported. I'm assuming you didn't see this post, hence it's understandable you highlight to me that there needs to be a named individual for a libellous event to occur. I'm not giving an opinion on whether calling someone this term is potentially libellous, but there was a named individual called this earlier today.
As to your comments on your VPN connection being untraceable by any world authority ? There's a level of accuracy on this however you need to have the confidence your VPN provider doesn't disclose your details. There's a few other issues to consider but they're not share related and i'm not going there.
a warship.
https://ukdefencejournal.org.uk/government-finally-classifies-new-fleet-support-ships-as-warships/
triumph1 In relation to your12.47 post you may wish to do some more detailed research. Shipbuilding covers a number of areas. INFA is not reliant on just one part. Ferries still need routine maintenance. Some of that work can be done during the winter when business is slower. My projected SP at May 2022 which is the date of the broker research is about 3 times the current share price.
ThisTimeNextYeer - Great find it is now quite clear that INFA have an equal chance of getting onto the bidders list & be able to submit a competitive bid.Clearly INFA from various tweets is clearly on the path to building a work force in order to demonstrate our ability to bid & be successful in building 'Warships' for the UK.All to play for.
