Thanks for the heads up on this programme Speedy (shown on Monday night past).
I've posted below the link to BBC iPlayer to watch the half hour video. It shows the great determination of the H & W workforce to keep the Yard open and gives the story of the workers from they went into adminstration right up to the purchase by INFA.
There's no great info on INFA here but there is a shot at the end with a smiling JW and Arun when INFA do the deal to purchase H & W.

Not really into microscopic analysis of the share price. However, it would good to get some news to break us through the 40p - 41.5p band of resistance.
Thinking about it.
Chrisatrdg- I hope you have signed up for the contract alerts :-)
All you need to know about MOD procurement:
Procurement at MOD

Yes, once the contracts start it will be like a number 7 bus!
Obviously INFA are being noticed in the defence sector which must be positive.
Cheers Stokey. Thanks for that.
ThisTimeNextYeer - It was a short article the man thing I learnt from it is from January next year both Belfast and Appledore would be open for business. I assume that the bidding teams will be working hard over the next couple of months to ensure that Appledore has plenty of work.
The rest of the interview with JW will be on the podcast on the 16 October.
Good point stokey12 maybe H&W - all to play for.
Chrisatrdg - In relation to your 14.58 post on reading this I have a more interesting question if FSG has an empty order book who will be picking up the work it used to have? I note that Viking Sky is due to leave the SRQ on 31 October so there might be space at Belfast.
Soz. Here's the link

This is the headline earlier today on the Shephardmedia.com site.
It's obviously not any specific news but these guys are a global company specialising in marketing within the defence sector. I'm curious as to their thoughts and comments on INFA in this sector as they're very well respected in the defence sector with news and analysis.
I previously done their free 7 day trial to have a wee look at their page but can't do this trial again (and I'm too mean to pay a regular subscription, lol). I'm being cheeky here but do any of you guys have access to this and could summarize their comments of their post on INFA for us ? Ta.
Cancelled ‘Honfleur’ to leave FSG Shipyard under tow within weeks - Ship will not be completed in Flensburg

Tango and Stokey for your comments. Right or wrong the decision I made in relation to my INFA investment was entirely correct for me. When I made the decision my portfolio, (thanks to my INFA investment), was showing a stonking loss. Today, thanks to the investment I made with the funds I withdrew from INFA, my portfolio is showing a truly stonking profit. I don't have anything else to say in the matter.
DAERA tweet on 'health of our seas' relevant to ML ?
DAERA@daera_ni·1h
Environment Minister @edwinpootsmla has urged people in Northern Ireland to help Government to achieve the UK wide vision for the health of our seas by having their say on proposals for marine monitoring. Just a link I picked up today to a recent assessment of flood risk at the Appledore Yard carried out by a 3rd party, presumably as part of INFA's due diligence...thankfully looks like there's no concerns here:

Setanta1 In relation to your 11.46 post to only look at the Islandmagee project and base your investment decision on that is in my most respectful submission shortsighted. INFA has two divisions the gas storage business and the shipyard business. While the gas storage business is not making much progress at present the shipbuilding is. I am ignoring any possible defence work as I do not believe anything politicians say. On the ship repair work alone INFA is likely to move to retained earnings by January 2021. I am basing that on at least two ships being in dry dock for at least a month each. Also the update this week indicated 17 ships had gone through the yard so far this with another 6 at least expected. This does not include any income from Appledore. All of this is why i have this as a strong buy.
Setanta!, It was INFA that wanted to pursue the government options for FID, the potential taker did not pull out at all???
In fact they stated they would be looking at year end for any FID decision by them. DYOR
In April after the Board of Infa declared that the funder for Islandmagee had withdrawn their (alleged ), support I decided that, apart from any other consideration the opportunity cost I was incurring by being so heavily invested in INFA made very little sense so I sold a substantial part of my large holding and put a good deal of the money into a junior gold miner, ( no cigar for guessing who that was ! ), and I more than recouped the big losses I sustained on INFA. I'm still interested but not confident that the outcome here will be good ,or if it is it will probably take years to achieve such an outcome Not very appealing to AiM investors!. But we'll see.
Are you still in setanta? Think I've been in this share for as long...
MajorThomas yes i agree with you there
Very positive vibes around shipbuilding in the UK and InfraStrata in particular.
On 25th August Boris Johnson paid a visit to Appledore and said: “This exciting new chapter for Appledore will create hundreds of new jobs in the South West and beyond, and will drive forward our ambitions to become a shipbuilding superpower”. The PM would not comment on work lined up for Appledore, citing commercial confidentiality and the procurement process but a Prime Ministerial visit would also suggest that a future workload is assured and this is supported by the investment being made by Infrastrata.
On 17 September The Prime Minister, speaking before the Commons Liaison Committee, said
“On shipbuilding alone, you should look at the ambitions of the Defence Secretary and what we are doing with the Fleet Solid Support ships, the investments we are making in frigates, the Type 31s, the Type 26s. This is going to be a fantastic time for investment in shipbuilding.”
IMO, it seems a case of when, not if we start to see contacts rolling in.
Loosegoose. I'm reposting a link from my previous post in Sept. It seems, following Ben Wallaces mid August visit to Ukraine and the recent/ongoing RN activity in the Black Sea, this contract for new ships is developing at pace.
This could be a great kickstart project for Appledore??
The Telegraph also covered this news yesterday. Come on Boris..........how about a special announcement??

Scroll down to Lord Touhig ( whoever he may be ?) bemoaning “dither and delay by this incompetent government “ ?!! Now we all know that Bojo is on side especially after tempting us with Appledore but the debate in the Lords does give credence to the need for an early solution after 3+ years already of delay .. There is real parliamentary pressure to sort the issue for once and for all bringing in NATO partners and their skills if needs be . I refer here to our esteemed Spanish colleagues and their technical expertise!! Watch this space .. JW has done well to make such a link and have Bojo and Team Resolute working hard .
