ThisTimeNextYeer - In relation to your 13.40 post I note that the obs all appear to be at Belfast. I wonder whether the 13 ships mentioned at the roadshow have been ordered.
An advertisement for 'dirty hands' rather than 'white collars' (both terms said very respectfully) gets me a little more excited.
It's well and good advertising and bringing in project managers, estimators and all sorts of well dressed suity type folks as we have been, (and yes these roles are essential, very much valued and needed first ), but i now wanna see overalls and oily hands jobs. The more actively working overalls and oily hands jobs in INFA, the more money we're making. With skilled trades jobs being advertised for now, this could be a sign the suits have pulled off some work from the tenders already submitted.
If they're advertising for quite a few skilled trades for starts in the near future, my hunch is that it isn't for the Triumph ship, possible FSS work or for big floaty boat build work, as both of these could be 6 months from needing a tool being lifted. It's not also for maintenance type ferry works either as they have an adequate workforce for this already.
Here's my question. Could there be some renewables works in the offing for Appledore and Belfast ? The big wurley windmills are coming i tells ya (well i hope anyway).
InfraStrata advances its Islandmagee Gas Storage Project licence:

Edit: Positive spin & SP holding.
Fully agree Spud. The woeful days of the past are gone and INFA is a new company going forward.
The market hates uncertainty and today's rns has reaffirmed infas commitment to the Gas cavern project. This is shaping up to be an excellent investment with likely more news coming soon on the back of the huge push for a much larger workforce.
2 years ago a small "delay" would have crashed the sp.
II on the share register and being a multi faceted buisness has totally changed this company imo
If I remember correctly JW stated he was not going to employ in any numbers until contracts were secured.. Now he seems to be going on a large recruitment drive, I wander why?

DAERA Marine Licensing Team (MarineLicensingTeam@daera-ni.gov.uk)
To:you Details
Dear Mr XXXXX,
Thank you for your email.
Three permissions are required from DAERA: marine licence, water abstraction and water discharge consents.
The Department is currently taking legal advice on our position regarding the requirement to advertise the Discharge Consent and Abstraction licence review applications. It remains our intention to provide a further opportunity for members of the public to comment on these applications. There was a delay in progressing the advertising stage, due to COVID-19 restrictions, but the Department have since developed an agreed position on this which can be viewed on our website at:
https://www.daera-ni.gov.uk/emfg-niea-public-participation-during-covid-19
We continue to progress the applications for a marine licence, discharge consent and abstraction licence, via our normal application processes and the Department will make an appropriate recommendation on the determination of the applications once the full process has been completed. The timetable for this may vary, depending on the outcome of our further legal discussions.
Other permissions and licences may be required from other regulatory regimes to enable this project to progress.
Regards,
Marine Licensing Team
Edit: This is a repeat of my e-mail from them on the 4th September.I have not published the e-mails until now because I wanted to hear the full picture from INFA & so I was not surprised to read this mornings RNS.However I believe that INFA could have saved money & time if they had agreed to todays notification back in September. Please note I still am saying 'Strong Buy'.In addition please read the last part of the e-mail as more may still be needed after the publications.GLA
I am now considerably more optimistic that the process is fully back on track.
The changes that have taken place within DAERA's organisation along with the avoidance of further costs and delays of any ensuing legal process is a great outcome for all parties.
We now have a commitment to a near term timeframe i.e. 12 weeks and, with the light of Deneb is upon the team at DAERA they now need to make their recommendation to the Minister.
I do not believe that the company will need to run further public consultations nor will they have to produce more reports; the data has been provided (back in March 2020) their work is done. It is firmly and squarely in the hands of our trusted civil servants and now we understand broadly when their decision will come we can expect good sense to prevail.
This project has huge implications for NI and GB energy markets and in particular the drive for decarbonisation in the grid, part of the hydrogen infrastructure we will need sooner than many forecast as well as being a boost to the economy and price/supply security.

It says "an additional period of review will be undertakenth" but not neccessarily a further PC.
Or is that inferred by the placing of advertisements.
I just assumed it was a further internal DAERA review but I guess the placing of adverts would be a call for further objections to be submitted against the existing documentation. Is that right?
My view is that this is a positive for the reasons outlined below:
- DAERA has reengaged with the process - I was worried their silence would have prolonged further
- I am sure the wording in the RNS will have been authorised by DAERA, so we are working on a 12-14 week window to focus minds
- If there were any issues with the ML, this would not be needed and the application would be rejected
- Only NEW scientific research that disputes the scientific research will alter the decision
- All parties have agreed to follow additional steps above and beyond the required process to void a Judicial Review
- We've also got to remember the IM is no longer priced in and is seen a bonus by the iis such as Gresham House
Hopefully DAERA will follow the science :)
The light at the end of the tunnel is most likely not an oncoming train. I have read the RNS a few times. Personally I see this as a significant move by DAERA who would normally never indicate any kind of timeline - I expect the wording of the RNS was jointly agreed. Now that we have an approximate timeline agreed with DAERA we probably won’t go down the path of needing a Judicial Review. I believe the word “likely” refers to the probability of the ML being awarded, rather than a “likely” timeline.
Though the rns is not great news it does intimate that the main application has no problem else they would not be putting this out for consultation. a couple more months is nothing.
May get an opportunity this morning to get a few more, but don't think it will stay down for long. AIMHO
Agree Tango, Hope market doesn’t miss this, lost amongst marine license update. IMO we are all about HaW for time being, IM will be cherry on the cake.
I hear you stokey, nothing would surprise me anymore with daera. Tango, I think you may well be right .... Fingers crossed
Jabido In relation to your 07.26 post it was DAERA I was accusing of kicking the can down the road. I am getting the impression that they do not want to make a decision. I would not be surprised if they decided that the marine license consultation needs to be done again due to the time since the last one so the information is out of date.
We may get another RNS this week, The People search is not a "checking the market" exercise.
Hi stokey, it's a box ticking exercise to try to appease daeras bureaucracy. It was covered by jw in the recent investor presentation. I'm not surprised by this because daera are the ones who want to avoid making a decision it seems. What a joke they are. Anyway, back to the golden nugget of h&w for now...thank the lord jw diversified! Gla
Not sure about light at the end of the tunnel more like kicking the can down the road. I cannot see the point of another consultation period if you are using the same documents.
RNS out re ML
Loosegoose In relation to your 20.14 post I note that this is not on the twitter account. Wonder if we will get a 7am RNS.
Lol no worries loosegoose, I think you may have improved my name haha. Yep exactly my thinking too, individual jobs advertised until this advert. Let's see what the near future brings us :)
Jabido, sorry that was the weirdest autocorrect I have experienced. Ha ha.
Jambi do, me neither. We have seen many adverts for estimators, project managers etc but never a general calling of everyone and everything. Quite an interesting approach which in my mind signals a lot of people are needed. Perhaps the Triumph Subsea Services LOI? If something else, then even better.
I've never seen that before and it's got me very excited. It's almost like a call to arms. I can feel it in my water's that something big is coming our way. Thanks for sharing loosegoose. Also want to say to all contributors lately, thanks for all your views and posts. Haven't posted for a while but it's a great BB to look in on regularly. Here's to a merry Christmas all. Gla
