I wonder how much the 2nd largest dry dock in Europe would cost. The land itself is valuable. Any contracts this will move.
Bubble. As a LTH I am stating facts and my own opinion. I and many others here have been patiently waiting a long time for the elusive groundbreaking SP moving contracts. Many times promised, yet to be be seen. WHEN they arrive I will be the first to shout hurrah!!
Speedy, you going all negative when this is about to talk off ,maybe see an rns stating contracts etc .
'We considered holding this virtually, but we felt that it would not be possible to do this safely.'
I don't buy that Stokey. Last minute and implausible notice.......the first roadshow was on Zoom! All is not as it seems and CEO is being evasive. Trust is ebbing away........
At the roadshow launch:
John Wood, CEO of InfraStrata, commented: "The launch of this Investor Roadshow is an important part of our effort to build stronger relationships with our investors. The last ten months has been an incredibly exciting period of growth for InfraStrata and we are excited to share our vision and strategy, as well as the significant progress we are making through hard work and astute decisions. This is about taking our investors on that exciting journey with us"
Is this the INFA roadshow or is it becoming JW's?
Speedy_Gonzalez In relation to your 18.49 post in the newsletter it says 'It is with regret that, due to the COVID-19 restrictions currently in place, we have been forced to postpone our roadshow event which was due to take place on 10 March. We considered holding this virtually, but we felt that it would not be possible to do this safely. '
Stokey. Did the newsletter state why the roadshow was postponed? A physical roadshow could easily be made virtual like the last one. With so much potential news upcoming, the fact the CEO is "unavailable" to meet with shareholders is concerning IMHO.
I think it's likely to be delayed because JW would be in for a roasting regarding bonuses. It's certainly something I would have raised despite my eternal optimism for the future
No problem, I know what it takes for someone to put up their hand and say i was wrong sorry, having done it myself, anyway lets hope this dog here is a puppy and will start to grow soon !! RR
Interesting piece in there
NATIONAL GRID TO BUILD WINDFARMS FOR EXPORT IN NORTH SEA:
JOHN WOOD COMMENTS
I have just received an Investor Newsletter which confirms that tomorrow's roadshow has been postponed. Also that it will be replaced by a physical roadshow in Belfast later in the year.
The article provides an overview of current UK shipbuilding industry. I note it concludes that innovation will be key for future success, hence INFA LOI with Triumph Subsea could be a real groundbreaker to put H&W back on the "shipbuilding map".

Hard to hold your hand up at times so hat tipped to you for doing so cap. Condolences for your loss also. This is the best BB on LSE in my view so let's rejoice at that and hopefully sometime in the next decade we will all be celebrating that first material contract rns! :)
Loosegoose In relation to your 11.29 post I am not sure how much the views of Gordon Brown will carry in this case as neither government is labour controlled. He might find it more productive to engage with the energy companies.
Capdevila11 In relation to your 13.00 post the reason why I identify the post I am replying to in that way is that some people post more than once on the same thread in which case it helps anyone reading the post to follow the post.
Decent post Jay, well done.
Cap, as if it wasn't clear enough what a sad case you are, you now for no reason choose to take the mick out of one of the best current posters on this board. Leave Stokey alone and put your efforts into making your life better. Charity work is always a good first step, I suggest you put your efforts elsewhere then you may feel better about yourself rather than putting people down in order to do so
I happen to find S12's posts informative, unlike yours !!
Engineer will decide how something is done, welder will do the work. Similar to mechanical engineer and mechanic.
Jabido In relation to your 08.26 post I note the size fits the footprint for Appledore. Also I think the size may be too small for the other yards.
Just noticed that H&W are advertising for a welding engineer see https://www.harland-wolff.com/careers/. is this a new vacancy also what is he difference between a welder and a welding engineer?
Team resolute, not the resolute*
Anyone remember this? Confirmed first 4 boats to be built in the UK. Get the old workers back, bring the resolute on board then jobs a guddun??

The result of the Integrated Review is due to made public next week with the detailed plan the following Monday. What would be the worse and the best case scenario people are expecting. In my view the worse case scenario is that the PM just waffles and does not say much in the way in specifics. In this case unless the Defence Secretary says something at the conference that will be on that day the share price will not move much and may continue its decline.
The best case scenario in my view is if the Prime Minister was to say that to ensure that there are viable shipyards to support the MOD HMG will guarantee a certain level of work at each yard. In this case we would need to wait until the 15 March command paper for the details of the level of guaranteed work.
