Speedy_Gonzalez In relation to your 15.55 of yesterday that story is reinforced by the following text of an email I recieved today.
'I am following up on your recent interest and to offer my services in assisting you plan your next Silversea luxury voyage.
I invite you to contact me so that I can answer your questions or to check rates and availability. It will be so nice to welcome you onboard and it will be my pleasure to help you! I can be reached by phone at 954-713-3917 or simply respond to this email and i can call you back at your earliest available time.
I look forward to speaking with you soon.'
If cruise companies are starting to send marketing emails even inaccurate ones like this one things must be looking up.
LSE03 In relation to your 17.57 post interesting article. I am getting mixed signals from the articles and Ministers statements. The Secretary of State for Defence in his speech to the SMI Conference made references to Belfast and Appledore. However, in the article there was no mention of Appledore and the mention of Northern Ireland was in relation to satelites. Hopefully the white paper next week will clarify matters.
He's not Ex, speedy.
Speedy excellent find ,lets get them orders in !!!:)
Re: Covid19. As UK emerges first through vaccination program, momentum is building to relaunch the cruise industry around UK waters. Even 2 large US based Princess cruise ships planned here later this summer. We have drydock facilities for those biggies at Belfast.

I'd say some form of mod work is almost a certainty, although perhaps not the most forthcoming contract
One of each will do :-)
Stokey beat me to it :-)
4. Scottish wind farm
Speedy_Gonzalez In relation to your 15.18 post I would add
4 Large Fabrication Contract
5 Sub Contract to do blocks for the Type 26 and Type 31 Frigates
6 Contracts for jackets for win turbines to be made at Arnish.
To amuse ourselves in the calm before the storm (of contracts), let's have some votes / suggestions for the most likely contract . Feel free to add to my starters:
1. Marine licence award
2. Belfast large refit
3. Appledore new build
Stokey, I'd like to know where they get such info? Perhaps ex TR1 holders get some "special privileges". Time to buy more I think.......
I sw this comment on a post on LinkedIn I have not been able to independently verify it but as it was posted by Stephen Rosser who some of you know I an cross posting so you can make your own judgement. word of significant new contracts in the next 2-3 weeks
Anyone any thoughts re storage? I think there are plans for similar plants around the country.

I think the cruise ship was one of the Vikings from last year.... would be lovely to find out it was a photo from today lol. Once again I believe next Monday and Tuesday are going to be very interesting days with the white paper on Monday and the defence industrial strategy published on Tuesday. Surely next week is going to be the week we have all been hoping for?! Gla
Stokey ,no sure but certainly heading into port
Bubble2021 In relation to your 12.41 post I did not notice the cruise ship in the background till you mentioned it. I wonder where it was berthing.
Setting things up nicely loosegoose, nice picture of cruiseship docking
Utilize the pipes for hydrogen LSE,same as gas field pipes already installed in Irish sea I think strannrar it comes ashore near Cumbria border

Interesting also that National Grid is proposing to sell a majority stake in National Grid Gas Transmission pipelines in a shift away from gas to electricity.
