Question that arises for me is that it's clear infastrata are acting like a company that already knows it has contracts and hence why infa has geared up accordingly with assets ,now four and manufacturing capability and machinery and also workforce.Any announcement of contracts will undoubtedly move the sp possibly significantly so it seems contracts have been kept hush hush.I wonder what determines when contracts and related sp rise are to be announced and why it's not already been announced. The ML is pending and it's my belief that this is pivotal to all of the infastrata umbrella and not just the salt caverns gas storage project.
LSE03 In relation to your 05.25 post in view of the task for this ship I am surprised that only 1 is being ordered. I would have thought that more than 1 would be needed. The other question is where it would be built. According to the article the ship is to enter service in 2024. That leaves three years for it to be built and have sea trials. ON that basis I would think you can rule out the Clyde due to capacity issues. Cammell Laird built the Sir Richard Attenborough but was two years late in completing it so may have blotted its copybook as far as time sensitive national security orders are concerned. There is, therefore, a good case for saying that H&W should get the work as they have the capacity.
Speedy spot on they'll be fully booked up and in huge demand imho
This breaking news will focus cruise operators to increase cruises around UK. H&W Belfast could get extra business.
True interesting
Just came across this page on LinkedIn https://www.linkedin.com/company/teamresoluteuk/posts/?feedView=all. Not much on it yet but it is significant in my view that it exists at all.
Stokey was brief just said that their will be a modernization of the country's military/future technologies , tomorrow morning maybe hear more ,but was positive about moving mod into the future.
Bubble2021 In relation to your 11.43 post did he say anything of interest that did not need decoding?
Ben Wallace on sky news now
Will try and watch on Sunday, indeed any mention of infra yards will be good imho
Yes I agree Stokey12. It'll be interesting to see if he gives any more detail.
LSE03 In relation to your 08.51 post that will make Monday's trading interesting.
I think Ben Wallace UK Defence Secretary is doing studio rounds this weekend. I think he is also due to be on Times Radio for interview but didn't catch the time.
Further to my 09.09 post of yesterday I note that the EVP Maritime at Carnival UK liked this post https://www.linkedin.com/feed/update/urn:li:activity:6777487905964208128/. Looks like a mutual admiration society is forming with Carnival wonder if it will lead to some nice contracts. This is me hoping I do not know anything.
TTNY ,many thanks for info another excellent post today
Great bit of information there ttny cheers. And yes a great customer to be having too! Roll on next week...it could be massive :)
ThisTimeNextYeer In relation to your 18.48 post I noted that it was part of the local ferry service but did not realise that it run in effect by the Northern Ireland Executive it should put INFA in good stead for further more lucrative work/
Jabido. You're quite right, it is a relatively small boat at 60m x 14m. I'd imagine that going forward this would be the type of vessel that would be more suited to Appledore type work, however Portaferry is only around 50 miles round the coast from Belfast, so it's only a wee scoot up the lough to H & W.
It is a new customer too, and also an interesting one, as it's Transport NI, an executive agency of the Northern Ireland Department for Infrastructure that operate the ferry. It's good to see some government type work coming into the Yard. Hopefully this bodes well for future work of this type.
More work typo Stokey apols
Jabido In relation to your 16.53 post the ferry is one of two ferries.
If I'm correct this is a new customer? Might be a relatively small boat but new clients are always very much welcome!
Excellent Chris more work!!:)
No work Stokey excellent !!
