Spot on...
BigBangs post at 14.01 Spt on IMHO!
I think this is being played today......absolute bargain at these prices!
GLA!
The more you think about it this TEVA settlement proposal is just a red herring. Why would the US accept payment via product - committing them to one supplier when they could insist on a cash settlement - TEVA have the money and then buy the best product including newly developed products from the market at the best price as they see fit. As such I shall look to add. ATB
The costs of USA government by opioid addiction is near the $650 billion a year and surely 23 b over 10 years free offers by Teva for inferior product is not going to be something they consider seriously if there is a better product to use which is a better value and treatment in the long run and politically is not going to work if patients prefer to take the better product ,but the government would not allow it because there is an inferior product is available for free!!
I think the issue is mainly if there is a settlement with the doj and by how much Or a dismissal which I don’t think so.....it will have to be a settlement in a feww hundreds millions or hopefully less.
Well an interesting turn of events. It does not seem just or equitable that the misdeeds of one company could affect the opportunities that are available to another company. The States are more likely to prefer a cash settlement and are unlikely to accept an inferior product offer from Teva. Pure speculation but it could be that if a settlement of this nature became likely then Teva would in fact be a likely buyer for INDV free of the DOJ claim. I suppose the other thing to consider is that if a product settlement became an acceptable route and assuming that we loose the dismissal proceedings then we could offer to supply our much better product in lieu of cash?
I think if we should read indv latest revenue and profit upgrades again so we know exactly where their main increasing income and increasing profits are coming from ...to clarify
I hope all the other manufacturers (inc INDV) will band together and point out how unfair this 'flooding' of the market would be.
Does anyone know what market share TEVA has with regards to their generic suboxone ?
This is important, as they might only be supplying their current market share or even less.
GLA
Well put RB.
I've been gently trying to point that out.
Still unsure if the US cities/counties will go for that deal though. They might prefer cash settlements. That would be better for INDV than free generic suboxone in the system for yrs!
But the new preferred product of indv is the one that is a preferred product which Teva is not offering....and this is bringing the most revenue and increasing profits..otherwise we wouldn’t see this even at present if not so.
Or you have a different facts that we are not aware of?
