Had a good day today. I hope it will continue as this is a well run company
IGR has come up on my radar due to the above. A very good report from Paul Scott who if he believes a company is poor will definitely say so; so enthusiasm as he has for this one is a very good sign. I wasn't going to invest anywhere at this particular time; but this is making me think again. Pity I didn't see this earlier. Just need to do some more research. Nice quiet board here, usually a good sign. The below may prove interesting to folk: http://www.stockopedia.com/content/small-cap-value-report-29-nov-2016-craw-igr-mysl-cake-160184/ Good luck CM
End of a cracking week and still a bit of value here according to Edison earlier this week... INVESTMENT SUMMARY IG Design delivered strong FY16 results, with constant currency revenue growth of 4.4%, gains at both gross and operating margin level and net debt reduced by more than expected. The new branding emphasises that it is more than an efficient, commodity business and that its skillsets can be leveraged across adjacent categories. The US opportunity is by far the largest and the new local management team is making a strong start. The acquisition of Lang Companies for $3.6m in cash gives a further step up. The deal is earnings neutral in FY17e but accretive in FY18e as the synergistic benefits start to flow. The company has raised 5.0m net to fund the additional working capital and other investment opportunities. The share price has started to grasp the changing proposition, but has yet to fully reflect it. Last updated on 02/08/2016
IG Design to weather ‘Brexit’ storm, says Williams Citywire AA-rated Gervais Williams is backing IG Design (INGR) to prosper post-‘Brexit’ that’s to exposure to overseas markets. Williams holds 3.6% of his Miton UK Smaller Companies fund, which he runs with Citywire AA-rated Martin Turner , in the company. The stock is one of his few holdings exposed to consumer discretionary spend, a sector of the market likely to come under pressure if the ‘Brexit’ vote sparks a slowdown in the UK economy. But Williams said IG Design was likely to prosper given the fall in the pound. ‘This company does manufacture wrapping paper, cards and crackers for the US, Europe and the UK markets. If anything it should be a beneficiary of the weakness of sterling given the manufacturing plant here, and sales and profits generated overseas in foreign currencies,’ he said. Williams’ fund has returned 57.4%, more than double the 26% average return of funds in the Investment Association’s UK Smaller Companies sector. http://citywire.co.uk/money/the-expert-view-rbs-lloyds-and-itv/a937169?re=41423&ea=293
IG Design (IGR) has announced the acquisition of Lang Companies for $3.6m in cash. The deal is earnings neutral in FY17e but accretive in FY18e as the synergistic benefits start to flow. Lang has a complementary product range in stationery and giftware and some strong sports-based licences. It also has a design-led culture that should mesh well with IGR’s US operations, which have been gaining momentum. The share price has started to grasp the changing proposition, but has yet to fully reflect it.
Going to see a decent rise
