An interesting day on the markets may be a dip tomorrow with profit taking but onwards and upwards. The nearer we get to travel plan reviews in April, continual decrease in Covid cases, increase in population getting vaccinated and nearer coming out of lockdown, the more this will rise. Once US opens up and particularly Lon - New York route, then the SP here will really motor and although markets look ahead, I think when proper schedules come in and pax commence flying in decent numbers, the SP will motor towards £3 mark in my opinion. GL All, I'm holding firm for long term hold.
Top for next few weeks - 239 or 268?
Beware the profit takers in the city. They haven't cashed in yet and something in the budget could have been a cover. I am expecting whatever happens to be in a good profit before April 12th, even if there is a big profit take in the interim. Otherwise this does remind me of early ASOS. It jusy don't stop going up.
It peaked at the close today. Very high demand, should go up tomorrow. 320 p could be a short journey from here.
Joker. I did say last week that cineworld was one of my shares I bought in to again for long term. I’m currently up 6k on them. I also advised Rolls Royce which I’m up 3k.
These 2 shares plus IAG still have lots of legs.
Never look back, never regret missing the buy or the sell. Sets up the mind in a bad frame. What is done is done. I have three profits from IAG, back in again at whatever price. Stopped with the game trying to get the maximum each time, can't be done, often get burnt trying. Better still to take a profit and be happy with it. Today I was out of Cine just a shade below the top, together with previous days increases I'm happy. Have done well with ITV. Have a big chunk in RR in profit. At lot of 2.5% profits compared to the rare 10%? Do the maths, especially compounding your returns.
Now why did Restaurants go down? Need to dig a bit there as that is IAG money!
I've waited all day to get back in after selling at 203.6....... not one of my better decisions as the sp continued north. At least I haven't lost anything.
Disappointed re Restaurant; I wonder whether there was a disappointment that there was no eat out scheme announced. Might be locked in on that one for a little while now. I was hoping for a Cineworld to release much more for airlines. But the course of true love and all that.......
Second best in my portfolio ....
Much further to go....£3 heading towards..just imo
None stoppable

This has moved very quickly will be interesting if it can sustain the upwards movement or give back some of the gains by tomorrow, all in all interesting few days on IAG and its future.
As long term holder, who’s average before Covid was £5.80, this has been a great few weeks
Never sold, but took up all my rights with the share issue. I’m now 45p above my average and wife is 3 pence behind her average
Would love to sell all, and get in at a lower price wouldn’t we all), just have no idea where this is going now, and won’t take an risks
I am not selling mine until the price of pre Covid. People will travel. That is for sure. I am waiting for 400p. SO I will sell it maybe in 2022
£100 million for a new Taxpayer Protection Taskforce to crack-down on COVID fraudsters who have exploited UK Government support schemes
THIS one is going to make some big headlines in months to come. It will not be pretty as there are some sectors of the community that have pilfered the system beyond measure. In some ways, the government may regret opening this can of worms. But it has to be opened.
Well the fuel tax didn't happen, was surprised with that but then in context the can has been well and truly kicked down the road, the tax rises to come latter. So back into IAG ready for the amalgamation of the vacc passport schemes. Long run to April 12th, so any retrace will just have to be sat out. No fuel tax!
So took profits in cineworld, nice 12% up, IAG now???? Need to think about that....
ohhhhhhhhhhh................
Massive campaign against the covid fraudsters.
Big news that one
With respect to the day traders, this feels like an odd point to trade the margins on this one. Our vaccine programme is up and running, the US reckons it'll have vaccine enough for every US citizen by end of May, massive pent up demand, sure the margins of the business will take time to heal, but the core and beyond to the margins are going to recover quicker than you can say "whoosh". And the short position will soon close! So why would you stress with a finger on the mouse? Kick back, just look at the screen every day or so, and watch your investment rise as we return to normality! Things always happen a couple of months ahead on the stock market at least. British Airways is back! The pandemic is over. Only good news on the way. Only bad news can tilt this one, and there isn't likely to be anything worse than the news of the last 18 months. Up and up she'll go.
Hold on to your hats, this could be fun, fun, fun.
Got those trading browsers open? Fingers on the mouse button? Ahhhh this takes me back, why did I ever stop doing this?
Have the doom and gloomers taken the L yet? or are they clinging on to new covid variations...I saw one of them trying to 'double-bag' on a penny stock. Laughable.
Don’t take any notice of them after hours buys and sells, they have already been traded during the day and the SP has been calculated. They are only posted after hours. I don’t even look at them. We will come out of this as quick as we went in, I agree with AP the new range looks like 230-250p and if there is one mention on the Atlantic corridors it will be up to 300p in no time. GLA
What was it somebody said about fishing earlier; bait, hooks, reeling 'em in?
Since it’s already above 213 my earlier forecast of 215 looks downright pessimistic. Budget could swing this to 225+. Not too long to see if the prediction holds.
IAG has a strong tailwind behind it today 215 next target
Also results were for the past period, losses were for dead year. Market knows there was no business in 2020, so not much income.
Market also knows covid is being beaten, normality is slowly returning, deaths/hospitalisations are reducing at faster rate. So business is going to return to normality. IAG will go cash neutral in current or next quarter.
I think there's time to add another coat to the door frames before lunch and a spot of TV viewing. Hands up all thoughs watching IAG and Cineworld ready to jump on the board and post what a numptie the BB was for picking Cineworld over IAG over the last few days.
Own up!
