I've been reading this board for the last week or so because of the RI (I am invested here) and then came the threat of another lockdown.
in the short term the Airlines aren't particularly effected Boris's announcement yesterday hence the modest price increase today.
But seriously … who in their right mind is going to get on a plane at the moment?
You could be right. I put the 6K profit back in at 24p and hope to leave for 10 years! Hopefully happy days..
not at all mate lloyds is longterm bud very long term i keep buying and building up as you know or did not know lloyds paid an average 5.5% in dividends which made me very happy over the last 5 years and it will come back .The same said for iag but for the next 6-8 months this will hang sub 100 and then ill buy for longterm im not here to make a qick pound or 2
@mararab
Middle of September you were in heavy losses with Lloyds. A real shark would have done what I did sold @33p.
It must hurt
Mrarababa , oh I do love metaphors, how about you are a shark and I am an Orca.
Luddite: im like a shark mate waiting till all you guys have bought your sp rights then dump them price will drop then ill buy in im just waiting in the wings pal , whats up does the truth hurt !!!
mrarababa , I would stick to metaphors if I were you and not risk playing the stock market, I expect your capability to make money from IAG is about nil and after all does anything else on here matter ?
RT : How have you come to the share price recovering to 250p dont you know this share has been diluted by half , and the current business is running at 25% . Like i say 14 day isolation on all major counties (entering) . Holidays not viable until may next year , business class reduced to nothing . Reminds me of a movie Dr Zivago where the long winter scene stops everything moving and is frozen for months . Well this virus is like the Siberian winter and will take a monumental effort from all world players to get the sun to come through and melt the snow. Be realistic there's more snow and ice to come !!!!!!!!!
i think the general consensus is we just have to learn to live with the virus
as stated below, anything positive related to vaccines and treatments then we should rise further
all the best
I'm going to assume it's because they know it will be a success and politically Trump wants the vaccine to be a US, not UK success story.
If this insider information isn't enough to get people on board now for the medium term I don't know what is. Either RT003 is very sick and enjoys giving out false information (can't understand why that would be the case, nothing to gain at all) or this is an amazing bit of information to be given for free. To me the AZ vaccine has always looked the most promising and it will be too late to buy into this once the news drops officially.
If you're wrong RT003 I'm going to send the mafia round though, have just bought in off the back of your knowledge!
All industries will do well, but what the travel stocks absolutely fly when things pick up early next year. A great time to invest in my opinion banks, travel, oils stocks will all do well!! The trick is to pick the strongest ones.
RT - I've been accumulating travel/leisure sector stocks since about April time and have been waiting for the tide to turn - never been an opportunity since the financial crash to make so much money.
USA want to solely hope on Moderna one of their own countries Pharma...(typical yanks)
Rest assured AZ are good to go pre Xmas....the stage 3 trial has had to date just 1 single case to halt it (standard practice) but was ruled as not related to Vaccine itself
The numbers are unprecedented as regards success
Can I just say am not just talking up IAG and what will happen but on all affected Covid stocks across the board....they'll all fly.....as far as I'm concerned I'm filling my boots across all sectors.....we'll never see an opportunity like this again
RT, do you know why the US are not continuing trials of AstraZenecas vaccine? If they aren't on board that affects a huge chunk of business travellers
I agree with what you're saying - its just a shame that the company can't come out with an official release saying what their expected timescales will be - obviously from a selfish perspective in that the share prices on all travel/leisure sector will start their recoveries, but I think more importantly, the country will have something positive to hear for a change.
I know Matt Han**** said on The Marr Show on Sunday that "the cavalry are coming over the hill", but unfortunately until its confirmed from other sources, nobody believes him.
lol for some reason you ignored the reasoning of £2.50 by Christmas.....read my post CAREFULLY this time and to where I work
I cant be more clear without giving out more confidential information. Ignore it if you want but AZ WILL land pre Xmas at which point shorters across all stocks will have a nightmare
The smart money is heavily buying here and rightly so. We know a vaccine is coming via Astrazeneca (I work in conjunction with AZ) and what do you think the market reaction will be on all quality stocks !
The likes of IAG will soar as will Easyjet Ryanair Tui Saga and all the rest
Of course its not going to go back to previous levels pre covid but I'll be startled if this is not £2.50 by Christmas and probably higher
