More kicking when 250+ best it to leave this share purchases as it is for a while.
It is a still bargain, if you have funds get in,
It will climb to 2.50 in a month or so and stabilise then but downward trend is gone forever
So many will be kicking themselves. More kicking when 200+
I feel sorry for the ppl listen to the derampers get in and stay in.... the only way is up
bengi, you are aware RR is a lot more than just jet engines. The nuclear power side is very hot too [lol]. Did RR go up in value as the iis got moe and more info on the Aussie sub deal? I have RRa difficult one to determine wrt to airline sp prospects. 360.
..l think this shares trajectory will look a lot like RR’s recovery from the 19th July and will operate at the top of its price range until the US open.. it could very well break out of its upper range and pull back to the to find support at the top of this range…
…there are two important game changers to this share from now onwards, firstly it will have momentum… momentum, looking at the last two share price pushes, on the weekly chart the 2nd week in Nov & last week in February, momentum sustained practically for 4 weeks… the only difference now, sometime after 4 weeks there will be a real genesis of income…
…secondarily it will progress to a turnaround asset instead of a distressed asset…
..keep it cool and don’t listen to those loose lips..!
You realise that share are forward looking right?
Madam, since March the travel sector and airlines have been craped on from great heights and sabotaged without mercy. Revenue has been slashed, costs have bled the coffers and allies have just shrugged their shoukders. Anything can happen in resolving the industry going forward. Who knows what the shares will be called in the future.
Sir, between March and June this stock traded above 200 and things have improved since significantly with the US opening and with EU travel testing relaxed. Currently it trades at 165. Yes it has seen significant gains in 3 sessions but from a very low base. I think this has some room to go and wouldnt be thinking of selling until it gets to 200ish
BB - I read you last post loud and clear. I will be selling all my IAG shares shortly.
Not because you say there is still some headwinds to watch out for, but because I prefer to take a bit of profit and move on...
This share (like many others with positive news) is now getting pumped up to the highs.
But like with other shares ( cine as a good example ) when some people were warning that cine was going back to 60p... everyone slated them for it, saying it was going to £1.50+ by christmas.
WELL, LOOK WHERE CINE IS NOW..!!
only a week ago, everyone on here was screaming SELL, because of an R.I story... now all of a sudden its going to the moon and we are all holding for 2-3 quid a share.
all comments both positive and negative in any share should be listened to, because sometimes... just sometimes the latter comes true.
DYOR - AND DONT BUY SHARES BASED ON ANY CHAT ROOM SPEAK.
I read most decent posts on boards I have stocks in, but never buy on the basis of the chatter... (I would already have the shares) and usually cone to these boards for news - which I check out.
But people's actual words??? Never.
Well I have briefly scanned tonight's posts and picked up from one long one why didn't I buy IAG today. I'm sure I mentioned why earlier, I am first waiting to receive my new shares in easy j, the plan is to switch all in one go, and I also posted that I am waiting to hear what the conclusions of the discussion with the banks is. A lot of you are running around the playground waving your willies in celebration. All ganged together in the hood. Now magically the world works for you on your terms. WOW. A long awaited change of policy is now proposed, to begin at least 6 weeks away. Snd suddenly everything is fixed? I fear some of you are in for a significant knock back soon. 11% gain today, but from how low? No I won't be buying IAG for a few weeks, there are a few cobwebs to clear out first. Celebrate your paper gains. But it doesn't suddenly mean you now rule the human race or won the cup. There isno competition here. All sorts of shi.t can happen.
Still haven't replied to why the airline shares in the US are positive? On flights to the US from the UK and Europe, they will be full and high priced as people have not been to the US in over 18 months! Simple...

Neil Wilson at Markets.com.
"Whether or not the US makes the green list or not come October is another matter. I would assume the loosening of the rules – a win for the EU and UK – is based on the quid pro quo that they will make it easy for their citizens to travel to the US. Levels of vaccinations in the US are high enough to outweigh concerns about cases."
With the IAG shares only at their highest since late August, Wilson said there were "lots of caveats and reason to be cautious still - getting bums on seats and filling those planes again will take much longer – who’s going to wear a mask for 9 hours?".
It's probable the CEO will screw it up before the Govt. Won't tap the market to shore up finances to address the huge debts he reckons.
Interesting. lol
dow pulled it's self back over the 200ma. This is going to be exciting in the days ahead.
Hair pin trigger.
Fugazi1 : well my friend im not so sure it will depend on bookings and ticket prices as there will be a alot of airlines wanting the uk pound , long haul market to the USA i hope BA dont over price themselves
hey mararab, lots of volatility yet in the market. Lots of movers and shakers, even in iag.
When everyone starts talking high numbers, the market presents a hot poker. Just like those congratulating themselves on RR a few weeks back when at 120p....singing 200p, etc here we come....them pop, back under 100p
Always be ready. Never allow over confidence. You know that bud.
IAGLongterm ; Theres going to be a few mobile homes , tents and camping gear etc going cheap next year as everyone will be abroad lol i can just see it
Fugazi1, simple question, why are all the US airlines up today in that case? Unrelated, you are looking to spread more fear and hiding behind a ridiculous 99p forecast....
Fugazi1 i think this has bottomed out at 137 , i bought in at around 145 ish and will sell at 220 - 230 pending situation , now the USA has opened up I'm sure this was the last stumbling block to get over . I can not see this going above 300 for a few years so long term very good short term a not bad return . furlough cost is not a issue now but will take time to become profitable
Wait for 142.34p, you'll get your fill.
Yeah it's painful I was already to do it but was talked out of it as already have 78,000 shares
hindsight is a wonderful thing :)
Like you this was my biggest holding at about 1.96 and this morning i was umming and eyeing about averaging down to about 170 ish but just didn't do it.
Ended up buying a whole load more at 1.65 gutted.
I was about to press buy button on 80,000 shares at £1.50 mark I didn't because I have 78,000 at around £1.80
Livid lol
