It could take some stones to wait until Oct 7th to buy in for the ride back up. Bloomberg are reporting that analysts say Pfizer could have enough data any day from Sep 27th onwards.
With cases rising everywhere it's actually accelerating how quickly vaccine companies are arriving at the numbers required for statistically significant results. AZ and moderna are not far behind and are likely to report in October.
If BA is nationalised the shareholders are toast.
With Brexit looming would it not make sense to nationlize BA and separate it from its Spanish counterpart. That way the Brand is now in complete British control.
at that type of level the RI capital raised would be exhausted by Feb/March
have they made any updates on their current weekly cash burn? last i remember it was about £140m a week
October will indeed be an interesting month for IAG, two dates, the 7th and the 30th, it will be interesting to see the 3rd quarter cash burn.
i will be too. i'm not anti IAG, it's a fundamentally good company. I was invested heavily pre RI, entry level was £2.40, but got out because i saw where it was headed. Investors have been badly let down by the IAG board. When i originally invested here in June. I did usual diligence checks on their financials etc. They harked on about being solvent for next year etc. £10bn in equity/cash etc. Few weeks later, rights issue. I never would have invested originally had i saw the RI coming!
If it does I'll be buying but i'm not sure 7th is the only important date!!
Sunsurfer, i believe in the absence of any positive news in the interim period this SP will test the 50p level on 7th October!
I agree with Roxbury, The issue is not the negativity per se but the negative 'advice' dressed up as 'Fact'!. read my previous posts and you will see I have asked WAM to be more precise about not if (since he has already confirmed it is a when) but when will the share price drop to 50p! but some of the comments are so emotional that WAM missed that smarty boy was defending him, so very funny:-) So smarty boy do you believe its going to 50p? if so when? It's easy to predict since you've got a 50/50 chance of getting it right, haven't you:-)??
Whatever your opinions, I have no issue with except very few back it up with actual evidence. Quoting a newspaper isnt evidence, that is reporting another opinion. Please differentiate between the two.
Full disclosure, i'm invested in IAG and I would like the shares to go to 50p in which case I will buy aS**t load more or to 2.50 in which case I will sell at a profit. either way I cant see either of those happening in the next 12 months ...but oct will be an important month because:
1. 2nd quarter figures
2. possibility of more lockdown
3. possibility of Vaccine trials passing phase 3 and being released to public
4. rapid testing being approved at airports
5. Government support for the airlines
6.possibility of greater lockdown.
7 RI not being fully absorbed and dumped by the I.banks...
Any of those will move the share price, some more than others so if any of you are brave/stupid enough to predict a date for 50p or 2.50 go ahead, i'm listening:-)
I see. It would seem a little reckless to do that but i shall take your word it.
the big MMs who have underwritten the RI do not have the mindset of the PI. They will have received £ms in fees for underwriting & will just get shot of the excess!
Why would it be in the underwriters interest to en masse dump their shares on Oct 7th, driving their own sale price down? Would it not be better to hold for a couple weeks for vaccine news?
The problem is people have difficulty facing up to the fact that they have lost money on a poor investment. Price predictions i have seen on here are nothing outlandish & this share could drop further than the lowest prices i've seen being touted around. It's about confidence & at the moment there is none in this stock; not even from the company's board. Only time will tell where this SP will be but i can assure you all when 2.75 bn new shares are thrown into the market & millions are being held by underwriters they will not all be getting held for 5 years waiting for the price to go to £3
??? WAM
I was defending you! My comment is below the quote from Roxbury House.

“Ask yourself why would somebody (one despicable person in particular) constantly bombard a board ALL DAY with negativity?”
Hmmm... Did he bombard the BB with negativity or good advice?? Judging by the share price it’s the later...
A reminder to everybody here that you are surrounded by Strangers with their own agenda.
Ask yourself why would somebody (one despicable person in particular) constantly bombard a board ALL DAY with negativity? I am not currently invested in IAG and feel genuinely sorry for the people who have lost money and feel their pain and for this smug b * stard to rub it in and laugh about it is just awful i believe that life has a funny way of paying these people back. I really do.
