With respect Tony, the dividend cannot be fact until it is finalized as you said yourself. That's supposition until a concrete date for payment is RNS'd surely.
Your 3rd point is one I agree with, I said as much in my post, it was also inflated IMHO by promises of a Q1 divi, imminent Serenity F/O etc.
Please don't get me wrong, I'm not 100% down with the company, I'm just not happy that, having waited patiently for promised news, that they have not furnished us with said dividend or news on the F/O.
It would also be more PI friendly if they RNS'd us on purchases and drilling (spending our money before they do it)
I don't expect them to seek our approval, just keep us in the loop. The catastrophic duster that set us on a downward spiral in the North sea was drilled in a risky position that none of us (well NEARLY none ) knew about until it was too late, the first we knew was a 40% fall in the SP in about 60 minutes.
I have no wish to be a mud (no pun intended) slinger but my opinion may differ from others here.
I'm still a holder here because this is a producing company with the potential for a great future given the facts (!) furnished by the BOD, the POO and tax credits could not give a fledgling company a better start.
I just wish they would tell us more, more often, demostrating their enthusiasm for their own company would go a long way to bolstering the SP and cost very little overall.
Jezzo,
Interested to know where you say Doc has misrepresented facts as supposition - I think pretty much everything he's stated is fact.
1) Dividend 8-9% - FACT. They still have to pay it but I don't think there is any reasonable doubt it will be paid.
2) Cash Flow / NOI forecast raised twice - FACT. If Oil and gas stay where it is - it will be raised again
3) Doubling of the SP was underpinned by fundamentals. The metrics are their to support this as fact although promises of the dividend and positive PR by the Doc helped.
4) Current SP is a concern primarily the uncertainty of whether the fall is justified. I dont think it is though i3e could help by finalizing the dividend and a bit of positive PR.
As Doc says - the facts are the facts !
Did not contradict myself at all Jezzoo. One post said if the shares continue to drift the chances of a takeover are greater because the value becomes greater. The other post was on a completely different subject. No I have not sold because I see great value here and am prepared to wait for it to manifest itself through either market realisation of fundamentals or a third party realisation of fundamentals.Maybe you should read all posts before posting old chap?
Not sure many people will stick with this for an 8% divi when the sp can go up or down by that in a day. Dividends work for stable companies with much higher mcaps. Personally, I feel we are almost there and sentiment will turn when the court issue is cleared up. After that point, there will be no legacy issues to hold this back.
Also I should proof read my posts before posting !
That one was hard to read !
Make your mind up BwanaMakubwa !!
Your last two posts less than 30 mins are almost opposite opinions and each one based on the immediately previous post !
Haqve you sold and bought back in time period ?
And Drjimjones I can see simple facts and half of what you say are facts are supposition, until half of what you state as a fact actually happens it's only an opinion and a hope not a fact.
The negativity is because of the missed deadlines/promises that resulted in the SP doubling in a few months have not come to fruition on the whole and it's reflected in the buys versus sells in this conpany's shares.
Condescending comments such as you make about facts and the suitability of some people to invest successfully is not helpful and dilutes your professional persona.
Totally agree, alot of shares down in London and it wouldn't surprise me if someone's wanting to load up at cheaper prices that's one of the reasons for the drop aswell. Stay patient this should rise nicely in time. ALB
Agree with you Doc.It would be most helpful if some of the doomsayers on here put their money where their mouths are and sell. This Board may attract a few more retail buyers if they did. There is nothing wrong with constructive criticism, but when I get really negative on a stock I just sell rather than whine.
I don’t understand what all the negativity is for? The dividend yield is 9% now supported by outperforming production and hedges locking in a % of future cashflow. They expanded Clearwater acreage via jv which has some Martin’s Hill drilling locations that are tier 1 in play that ip + 400b/d vs Nisipi +150b/d they are drilling jv first because their historically Clearwater acres are held by production prior production of NG, where as jv terms require drilling to hold it. Oil moving up to 70 $ again ng breaking above $3, inflation running hot, production gains are back end loaded they raised they fcf guidance twice this year, where’s the downside? If you can’t see the simple facts, good luck with any future investments and I mean investments not speculation. In May they’ll file year and give another update. Covid has been a problem still globally that should be remembered as well. Year end based on their fcf guidance they will be net debt free.... where’s the problem? Lol I’ve tucked this away in my dividend portfolio and will revisit after first results at Clearwater. To me I see a new investment as raising a child, they need a lot of attention then as time goes they prove themselves your confidence level rises thus less attention. Just because I’m not here every day doesn’t mean I’m not invested. What it means is I am confident now that i3 will be just fine and I put my attention into my next kid which is currently emerita resources. 2022 will be a year for rapid growth for i3. I’ve sold some of my OTHER oil/gas investments to add my copper zinc lead exposure in my portfolio but i3 is still part of the core 3 that remain in my JR resource portfolio. Best doc
