Hi Leathal, yes I'd say it's quite a good entry point. From this point I think the downside is limited to about 5% and only for a matter of days if that. The upside from here is significant depending on your investment time frame and the price of commodities. I genuinely believe we will get the f/o at some point this year. I expected it in October but it may be pushed a month. This to me is the near term +15p re-rate opportunity and I expect it to steadily climb from this point as we approach H2 results and near Nth Sea spudding of wells. My target is 100% upside in 6 months. With an oil strike / appraisal results of significance (+100m recoverable) I think the sp could triple (depending on how much ownership we retain). All this regardless of how much incremental production is being generated in Canada. I'm hoping the interview next week is to announce something positive in the way of a f/o for Nth Sea or the Canadian acreage, and/or an incremental +1,000 boepd from drilling and well clean-ups / reactivations. Imo, the only thing that will leave 15p in the rearview mirror before Xmas is the Nth Sea f/o. But plenty of other news items that could push us nearer that mark as well. AIMHO
2nd that DOPW, barring any unknown issues.
Leathal1979. Should rerate handsomely imo. As always, read the RNS' and look at O&G prices and futures and our production with the new additions, factor in dividends and adjust FCF accordingly, inaddition look at the workovers and wells that BoD have set out as possible targets. Finally if you do decide to invest, consider scaling in. Imo right now is a decent entry price. Your decision mate. Personally adding and holding tight and ignoring the big rises elsewhere, as I'm expecting a decent move up at some point.
They are probably using an iceberg to feed the order in
@leathal1979,
Currently a good entry point IMO. Many are buying in at this range including myself. We are all expecting news and a sp rerate. I don't believe sp will go much lower, it's been hovering here for quite sometime.

@Canetoad

Cheers
Oh £1.75 , I feel like I’m being robbed by my broker ther , lol .
Re direct access, I understand that issue but that implies a larger trader, was this the equivalent of doodling , every few seconds buying a £100 more cos they are board or is it secret messages to their mates? Lol
With this facility you have direct market access. (DMA)

Some trading platforms like Degiro only charge £1.75 + 0.014% for each trade.
I wouldn’t be selling at 30p either.
That's the only action I3e is seeing...
What more do the the market makers need to push this up?
Surely all the 11p selling is done and we can move on?
Personally I wouldn't be selling at these prices..

Hoping the person buying in £100 lots see this and can understand that with execution costs and the spread they are probably loosing about 12.5% per trade - not clever - just lump it together pall and do one trade save yourself hundred in trading costs . Just a thought
