mace66,
Yea, a couple of us got caught peeing in their back yard. In response they sent there **** are round here to issue a few threats,
What’s the thing with 88e then ? Is there some sort of tribal loyalty on these forums ? Will there be a meet for a straightener down some dark side street ?
What’s driving the animosity ?
Kane you are a legend. That is a Great Post and has given great Prospective.
Quant,
"were not children are we" - I don't know - how old are you?
"shall we call a truce" - who are you fighting ??? These are investor forums supposedly for the free exchange of idea's. If your looking for a fight - I think you need to engage with some other forum / bb - probably better once your reach 18 years of age or older!
Quant,
I have to take issue with what you have said. Couple of comments:
1) " Imagine if you had been invested in 88E this year and saw a 300% rise in a month with plenty to come?" - I would say good luck and well done.
2) "Plenty to come" - your opinion and lets hope you are right.
3) I havent seen anyone over stepping the mark - you dont make the rules - just because you may not agree with the posts, does not mean anyone is overstepping the mark.
4) Don't agree 100% with Jezzo's comments - freedom of speech and I encourage you to post on any board you want. Your comments will stand on their own two feet - if it rubbish, its rubbish and will be recognized as such by intelligent posters. If the comments are intelligent - well then great - we learn something.
have a good evening.
We should call a truce then, agreed. We are not children are we?
Quant you do realise slater’s average was 5p? 100% return in 8 months who wouldn’t take some profits.
As you have rightly highlighted slater investments still holds 9.9% of I3e. Here’s their strategy
Generalist Approach: We are generalists rather than sector specialists, which allows us to pursue any idea that meets our initial screening criteria.
UK Focus: Our geographic focus is almost exclusively on companies that have a UK listing where we have constantly found a sufficient number of stocks that provide the required characteristics to enable strong investment returns. In addition, we feel that the UK corporate governance framework provides an additional overlay of accountability and regulatory protection.
Position Concentration: We do not believe in excessive diversification, since one’s hundredth idea is never as good as the first. Returns will be weighted towards the top 15 or so holdings, where each individual holding may be as large as 5% of the portfolio. There may be certain circumstances that warrant us having a holding larger than 5% in a portfolio. However, no single holding will ever comprise more than 10% of the entire portfolio at cost. The above results in concentrated portfolios of our very best ideas.
Growth at a Reasonable Price: Our core investment process is biased in favour of growth, though we do not subscribe to the view that “growth” automatically means expensive and “value” is by definition cheap and hopeless.
Thanks again for highlighting how good an opportunity I3e is so much so slater investments are holding 9.9%
All's fair in love and war Jezzoo, two posters here continually overstep the mark. PANR is worth a look too imo, flow test almost done.
Quant;
I can understand you coming to the I3E page to retaliate for I3E posters posting on 88E's
I for one think it's counter productive on both parts and I3E posters shouldn't be taking their frustrations out another co's bulletin board.
Let's not let this escalate please.

GGG,
I have posted and you need to repost yours. As an academic exercise - it might be worth trying to understand their acreage / valuation as a comparison to I3E's undeveloped acreage.
Is 88e really a con job - they have 600k acres that does have oil. The question is how much and how much value do you attribute to current SH's.
- i3e
- £70m Mcap (for now)
- Circa 10,000boepd production (2/3rd gas, 1/3rd oil). All in Canada. Low cost on-shore drilling.
- Low b/e levels across acreage.
- Circa £20-25m fcf. So profitable, and remains profitable at oil and gas prices considerably lower than now.
- Just announced maiden dividend equivalent to circa 6% yield at current 10p share price. Commitment to pay-out a minimum of 20% and maximum of 30% of fcf.
- Company has circa £90m in tax credits.
- Next to zero net debt, which is almost unheard of in O&G.
- Significant production upside. I3e just drilled a 500boepd well in a completely new play. They have huge acreage in Canada’s 'Clearwater' formation, which is just being opened up and has the best economics in Nth America. Wells typically deliver +300% IRR.
- Immense exploration upside. Aside from Clearwater and other Canadian acreage, they're in the final stages of negotiating a farm-out of their Nth Sea discovery, which has been independently assessed to have up to and exceeding 100m recoverable barrels of Brent. Note the word 'recoverable'. The field is next to producing fields in final production years and has all necessary infrastructure in place. The infrastructure is looking for more production to be economical. The field is thought to be connected to a smaller adjacent field looking to be developed by Repsol Sinopec, which is the front-runner in the f/o discussion.
The company is a safe, low cost, profitable producer with immense production and exploration upside, whilst paying an industry leading dividend and having next to zero net debt. DYOR and check for yourselves. If you guys thought this piece of ****e was worth £500m then I cannot even put a number on the value of i3e. Dividend is about to be paid so not long before the next proper leg-up starts (it has doubled from recent lows). Plenty of research has been done. Broker and independent reports have this stock amongst their 'top picks' and nailed on to double / triple from current sp over the next 12 months. As mentioned DYOR and you’ll be thanking me in 6-12 months. GL!
