Brazil built the Belo Monte hydroelectric power line from Para to Rio de Janeiro in less than two years, all 2,543km of it.
power line probably takes a while to build but possibly not essential to start other groundworks at the site? Its not like it is going to power the groundworks, it is going to power the plant. So maybe they got time but clearly a relatively long lead item if you've got to build 120km of it.... you don't do that overnight!
Very positive RNS. Does make you wonder if they are going to start releasing smaller snippets now. I imagine construction of the power line will take a few months.
That said I was thinking of topping up but ill wait abit longer yet. There's definitely still time to continue building a position here with how long these deals take to work out.
Initial funding - check
Power - check
Nickel demand set to increase - check
Moving in the right direction for sure.

Get onto Youtube and have a look at nickel mining in New Caledonia, it won't tell you all you need to know but its a good starter.
Wasa.
Just makes you appreciate howmuch the low grade miners need a higher Nickel price to make money.
haha very good - one of the things I found fascinating is the sheer amount of stuff they have to put through the kiln. Maybe it gets screened first but to produce ~14.5k/t just to keep the maths simple, 1% nickel cut off. You would have to feed 1,450,000 tonnes of material through it a year? That's a lot of material. Your $400 alibaba version might struggle with that..... I might be oversimplifying and a lot less material goes into the kiln stage but probably worth spending some money on.
I'm not sure why we need all this cash and all that power . I was researching the cost of Electric rotary kilns and you can buy one on Alibaba for $400 great specification and does a great BBQ.
Let's hope we do get a good news flow and it doesn't dry up as usual
“ Seem to have to jump through a lot of hoops!”
I know nothing about mining, but I imagine it’s pretty complicated to get a mine up and and running, from both an engineering and regulatory/legal point of view.
Get the kettle on first.............
Another step, and another step. Ad infinitum
Yes turn the lights on and start the Rotary Kiln ELectric Furnace
Another preparatory step that equity or debt providers may have wanted to see in place before committing.
Getting the lights on.............
Excellent news. Lets get building the power line! That $25m burning a hole in our pockets...
Be nice to see what’s in progress and what still needs to be done rather than the broad terms “licence” and “financing” is what I’m getting at. It’s not a trade secret
Oldtown- they’re all not doing what any other company needs to do to get a mining up and running. I imagine there’s a hell of a lot of work that needs to go into that
I like the phrase “coming months” but how many more de risking steps will we have? Seem to have to jump through a lot of hoops!!!
Another tick in the green credentials
JM has consistently led this company through development stages in a professional manner. He promised news flow and this is now underway. I would say onwards and upwards but really it’s onwards and downwards to where the goods are!!
Looking positive, step by step.
Excellent news.
Another great rns just posted
