To be honest I attend events, I do not attend virtual events. Just not the same, not even close. Maybe in 2030 it will take off, but right now normal events if the way forward.
I absolutely love events, seeing stuff in the flesh, touching and feeling, getting to chat and meet new people, lunches and dinners out etc. It is a huge industry and I for one cannot wait to get back to events in 2021, these guys will get back towards 300p and then start growing again.
thinking of invessting here
IMO virtual wont replace reality but it will complement
They may move to more hybrid event, where virtual and live happen at the same time - think of TV show type format.
So HYVE will be a digital events company
who knows, still researching the stock before i decide if its worth if or not
Vaccine be here this year for those who need it, by early/mid next year population will have it and there will then be no need for virtual, we can go back to reality and normality, FINALLY! 300p here! DYOR!
I dont buy virtual replacing live events. At best it simply allows them to keep some of the 2020 live event revenue by flogging a virtual alternative. The ROI for virtual for exhbitors is low and not a replacement for live exhibitions.
Is this why the share price popped?

Following the decision to cancel the Shoptalk 2020 in-person event in Las Vegas, we are pleased to announce the launch of a new and ground-breaking virtual event which will be held online in Q1 of FY21.
Shoptalk's Retail Meetup is a new form of virtual event that will focus on connecting customers with both existing and new contacts. The Group expects to facilitate tens of thousands of meetings for more than 2,000 participants.
The event, which will be a proof-of-concept opportunity for the Group, builds upon Shoptalk's highly successful Hosted Retailers & Brands Program in a virtual format, bringing together established retailers and brands, direct-to-consumer and tech start-ups, large tech companies, venture capital investors, real estate developers, equity analysts, media and others for a broad range of interactions and meetings.
