I would be more interested in brine losses than mud losses, but hey, each to their own.
..quiet some of us are listening for losses, all BB very quiet, even boats with Aberdeen ‘mud’ just waiting..
I don’t necessarily agree that it was a Petrofac error, as it is more likely to be a Kingfisher error given that it was due to an input into their system, and not directly through an input by Petrofac.
Looks like a copy and paste error that Kingfisher have made when updating their system.
IMHO, and equally I could be wrong, but either way it doesn’t amount to a hill of beans, as it is merely a typographical error, and not anything of any significance or consequence.
...another Petrofac ‘clanger’, let’s hope they have organised enough ‘fluid’ - oooh yes send to right rig tooo. SP holding.. quiet before... hurricane.
“OMG. Someone posts a link to the Kingfisher Bulletin, misquotes it, and nobody follows up to spot the mistake.”
My 22:37 post regarding the subject was what, chopped liver ? lmao
OMG. Someone posts a link to the Kingfisher Bulletin, misquotes it, and nobody follows up to spot the mistake.
The Liberator field is something completely different. It's Operated by Petrofac for i3 Energy, and is N.Sea, near to the Moray Firth. Nothing to do with Hurricane, Warwick, and WoS.
I must thank Carcosa61 for having posted the link, because I'm getting a bit lax in my shipwatching of late.
But I got a real scare when I read the first entry, about the wreck of the Ocean Quest. What was this? Of course I thought of the drilling rig, but last I heard, she was working of SE Asia. And felt sure that I'd have heard about it through the grapevine if she'd sunk in UK waters four days ago. In fact, the heck with the grapevine, it would have been frontpage news.
As it turns out, it was a prawn-fishing trawler. A different vessel.
Odd it didn't make the mainstream news, even so. Rather sad. Seems like politics, 'knife-crime', climate change and who's sleeping with whom is all that's deemed newsworthy these days.
Probably nothing more than an innocent cut & paste/typographical error on the permit application.
Petrofac are the Well Operator for both the ongoing Hurricane Warwick/Lincoln drilling campaign, and the i3 Energy Liberator drilling campaign.
So perhaps just a copy and paste error when completing the permit (not necessarily on Petrofac’s part, the error may have been by Kingfisher/SFF when they entered it into/onto their system/website), or an innocent error given that they are both WWII airplane types and there was some basis for confusion there.
IMHO.
Hi Carcosa61,
..".I wonder if there is an error in that Bulletin? Liberator Field???"
Let's hope the field, whatever it's called (B-24, maybe?) , proves to be a worthy stablemate to its Halifax, Lincoln, Lancaster etc peers

I can't do my maths properly. The provided Lat/Long is 250m away from the original 1975 well.
Biffadog,
Yes, very good point. Thanks.
Carcosa61,
5th September is not the actual start date for the WC drill.
It is just the earliest start date.
They need to put a date on the permit application is all.
There is no way HUR know what the actual start date for WC is when LC is only mid drill !!
Hope that helps.
GLA.
I wonder if there is an error in that Bulletin? Liberator Field???

Warwick A, 205/30b-A (Liberator Field)
Drilling ops due to commence 5th Sept 2019, Duration 80 days (again)
Location of 60°07.409'N 004°09.454'W is 2km NE of the 1975 well abandoned in 1975 (204/30-1). However there was some deviation in that well toward where 205/30b-A is to be spud.
Given a start date of 5 Sept then perhaps we can expect an RNS from LC a week prior to that
Kingfisher Bulletin issue 19. TL to commenced drill approx, 5th. SEPTEMBER ?
