I think that the RNS will arrive at the same time as the stack is lit. - The wording "once the testing commences" rather than saying "before testing commences" leaves them some wiggle room.
I also doubt they will release any RNS until they are just about sure that HC's are flowing. - otherwise any delay after the RNS (maybe unrelated to subsea, equipment problems for exampe) would fuel speculation of a duster, and even cause mass panic for some of the inmates in here. :-)
LC wasn't constrained by surface equipment as was the case with the Lancaster wells.
I checked with HUR after the LC drill result RNS.
9.8k flow was achieved with the aid of an ESP, however I would expect far better flow rates once the well is properly cleaned up for production.
GLA.
Beg pardon, ronok, thanks for correcting me.

Hi,
I make it that the RNS stated the tested flow rate from Lincoln was 9,800 and the natural flow rate was 4,682.
Maybe worth a check.
Ron
Per previous presentations, etc, any flow rate will be "constrained by surface equipment", whatever that capacity might be ; in the past it has been c. 10k bpd, which is certainly commercial.
LC has been suspended as a future producer after a test at 5k bpd.
What would be the minimum flow rate for it to be considered 'commercial' - anyone know?
What flow rate would exceed expectations?
Only success to the point of a visible flare, that doesn't prove commerciality though, only the subsequent rate of flow proven over several days will do that!
Yes. You are therefore inferring that success is a forgone conclusion.
Let's hope Diego is currently off shore and sees the night sky lit up.
I disagree HUR have rns'd when a flare has been seen in the past, albeit reluctantly, so they have now learnt their lesson. Better to be proactive than reactive.
I wouldn't think we will have an rns announcing testing has commenced. I feel the last rns was badly worded.
Imo
No, and no.
My guess would be that an RNS will be issued "testing has begun" before/after market hors, so that flarewatchers cannot get an unfair advantage, and that testing which does not generate visible signs will not be RNS'd.
I know that's outside the spirit of the last RNS, but that's my take on it.
In the last RNS Hurricane stated,
"An update will be provided once testing commences and on the completion of well testing."
I assume a RNS is now required to begin the test and does this limit it to a weekday?
