"However, based on that, you would expect an RNS if there was a delay"
exactly.
I am confident they have resumed production.
Captain Swag, I believe Hurricane have answered that as they said restart was imminent, meaning about to happen.
I therefore wouldn't expect an RNS on a restart.
However, based on that, you would expect an RNS if there was a delay, so that is something.
Regards production, that's what we are waiting for. Not expecting too much. But we have been alerted to that already so not too worried.
personally i think if the only producing wells are shut down for repairs this is RNS material. however whether you agree or not in this case it had already been leaked out and with the other issues previously suffered it made it potentially price sensitive and therefore had to be notified.
i would therefore expect notification when repairs are completed. the question is whether they will wait for production figures to be up back to pre shutdown levels or not.
I'm going to throw in some humour that we havnt seen posted for a while from some people on here....you ready?
10p this week ' heard it hear first ' news any minute now ' sp doesnt reflect true value ' bla bla bla bla

Ordinarily I would agree with you as I was gobsmacked they RNS'sd the original shutdown, even if it was to repair a safety critical item like the flare system. But, the fact that they did means they should at least announce the restart somewhere just to 'close the loop' so to speak. It's just good communication skills, oops perhaps not then lol
Guys FFS, if you think the restart after shutdown will be RNS'd , you are completely wrong and deluded.
'tell you next week, feild break this week im afraid'
Hope we know before then! lol

Can any Flare spotters in the vicinity of the AM oblige as to whether the flare has been re-ignited on board the AM?.
There is a daily short position update
DouglasD, is there an update today, please can you confirm?
Major shorters haven't moved since 31 July - we'll have to wait for today's update
Shorts got wind of the production after restart?

BTFATH1: “Just remembered about the 700 million of tax losses they can offset, ..”
Agrree. I assume this 700 million(together with our cash and oil production) could be very beneficial for other UK operating companies (oil producers) that has already written down most of their capex, in particular if they have access to cheap capital (as Stu mentioned). Very tax efficient. Or am I wrong ?
Rns due any moment as to the restart.
Just remembered about the 700 million of tax losses they can offset, don’t forget the 100 million plus in cash and the billion in assets. It’s 60 odd million more market cap wise than ruddy ukog and jog :)))))
90% down since December this is just crazy low. Like superdry this is going to surge back to a sensible level.
