Kind of difficult to answer (as always!). But in terms of what HUR would "prefer".....that would depend on the cash in the bank and what plans they had for it. Seeing as HUR have already overseen a massive shareholder dilution two years ago when the price declined by approx two thirds, I doubt another 20-25% increase in the amount of stock would be an issue. If of course, they have plenty of spare cash, then they may want to use that and avoid dilution. However, this decision would be out of their hands as the decision would be made depending on the level of the stock price.
Ok let’s not go on forever on this but Hur would prefer to buy back CB’s with cash than the sp reaching a level where it’d be profitable for holders to convert? ... to prevent dilution?
thanks SotB. Always nice to be appreciated. I agree with you re Monday.
PTS yes the CB's are another reason but that's been a subject of recent discussion so I left that out.
Ah thanks WW. But no compelling reason to actively suppress SP merely no great interest in ramping. I thought you were going to refer to CB’s which I am still struggling to understand..
Well well you talking bollacks..... besides its Monday !
PTS- it’s for a few reasons I believe this to be the case. One being I think they know they will get true value overtime and are in no rush (I doubt any of them are on the breadline - or foodbank line to be current) in the intervening waiting period.
Another is they are perhaps of the mindset that they’d rather not let hype prematurely over value the company and potentially put suitors off. All of this is just opinion clearly. It could be they are waiting to present the indisputable evidence of the EPS and proudly say “we told you so” rather than do so prematurely.
Importantly they should be able to extrapolate much of the EPS data to Lincoln and hopefully Warwick too.
I think that we will soon leave 40p behind and after the CMD perhaps we’ll head to 60p. After that who knows what will happen corporately speaking.
Would it be possible the gauges in Lincoln picked up the drilling at Warwick and that’s potentially where the rumour started from ? That would be a pretty good early indication ?
WW,
Obviously you need an RNS with oil type, flow rates etc to confirm that WW is another huge find.
All I’m saying is that it is a good start. No more, no less.
The flare is real remark was addressed to tcf anyway, so don’t get your knickers in a twist.

Wellwell:
’There is a school of thought that the company themselves don't want the price to go up. I can understand why but not that I agree with it myself.’
Forgive my stupidity but why don’t HUR want the SP to go up?
the flare is real, I'm not disputing that (and its welcome) but that's not the secret....that bit is still to be revealed.
The flare is real.
There is a school of thought that the company themselves don't want the price to go up. I can understand why but not that I agree with it myself.
Well at the moment they're not letting it go above 45p.
Wellwell, as i mentioned yesterday, HUR has been know to be a bit 'leaky' on the news front and if you remember before the well that came up a dud, there was a lot of selling in the days prior, then the RNS and then a huge drop. I am hoping that the nice rises we have seen last few days are indicative of the news we are all predicting, that the flare is real and thus on RNS confirming we should see a pretty big rise IMO, depending on the size of the find but i am thinking upwards in the area of SP 60 near term
I hope the cat is not out of the bag, just that people have spotted a bag with what looks like a cat in it. Otherwise the market reaction is quite muted I'd say. Once an RNS confirms what's being intimated I'm hoping we get a nice rise from it closer to the 50p mark.
Hoping the flow is solid and plentiful
Hoping even more its linked to LC
I think the cat's already well and truly out of the bag !!!
That's a big old flare and you need a decent flow rate to produce one that size.
Looks very similar to the LC flare.
Plenty of HCs in WW !!

News may well leak out before an RNS lands on Monday. It's happened before here, remember.
