Thanks for your reply, just trying to work out what was so urgently needed for the two vessels to be away from the rig and in port at the same time.
Thanks Albi - very clear indeed. We watch and wait - I am hopeful
Sorry Mover, should be clearer, we will get an RNS on completion of testing for sure - anywhere in the next 7-14 days.
Mover,
Between the coded posts and wind ups - what can be confirmed is the next offload from the AM from Lancaster is happening today.
Re. Warwick West: Reading between the lines seems to be a consensus that the DST has started or is about to start. Hurricane said they'd RNS at start and completion of testing on WW - or perhaps just on completion - it's not entirely clear from their last RNS. In any case we're likely to get an RNS in the next 7 days or at the outside 14 days dependent on weather conditions etc.
bartlebobton,
"They keep the walnut shells in the boxes....."
Behave yourself!... :-))
Slipanchor,
"How is the mud carried out to the Rig does the supply vessel have a tank, or are they shipped in containers?"
That's tricky to answer, not knowing Hurricane's operations in such detail. Probably the best answer would be 'a mixture of both'. And also, remember, we're simply talking about the horizontal FB section fluid here: drilling down to that, I don't know what mud they use, and don't particularly care.
It's highly likely that the greater part of the viscosified brine 'mud' is transported to the rig by boat in bulk. Yes, supply boats have numerous tanks for this purpose, and it's pumped up to the rig via an overboard hose.
Nevertheless, the rig will be perfectly capable of mixing the fluid themselves, and will have significant stocks of sacked chemicals on board to be able to do so. This is a necessity, because obviously there might be times due to weather that a boat can't come alongside.
No telling what the 'black boxes' / containers contained, though if there were a number shipped, they might be mud chemicals.
( Though if there was a grey-coloured skip, it's probably for scrap metal. I now await replies from Wellwell and Yuyus saying scrap metal skips are green, or yellow! ) ;-))
They keep the walnut shells in the boxes.....
Another question, hope it doesn't cause any controversy.
How is the mud carried out to the Rig does the supply vessel have a tank, or are they shipped in containers?
The reason I ask is, the quay where the Rem Trader was berthed yesterday had a number of black boxes or containers, this morning it is MT.
And the Navion Oceana is only about 6 miles from the AM and approaching for the next offload.
Weather fine WOS, wind 12kn'ts, the height of waves 3m, the height of swell 3m, all systems go.
Very true Beerbull, and on that note, for every short seller, there is an additional long holder.
Hoping today’s the day for news.....every limb crossed....
Always makes me smile, when I read big buys or sells going through, for every buyer their a seller etc....
couple of nice buys just
gone through
trying to interpret all the different messages around weather and corks popping to understand whether people are talking positive from a position of knowledge or just by inference. if anyone can talk in plain language it would be great
